The law of Moses includes the Ten Commandments, the ceremonial laws, and the dietary laws of the Jews, plus other laws described in the Book of Leviticus.

The law of Christ referred to in Gal. 6:2 and 1 Cor. 9:21 contains the same divine principle as the laws of the OT law because both proceed from the central nature of God, although and for the most part, the law of Moses was external while the Law of Christ is internal.

Since all born-again believers are NOT under the law (Ro, 6:14), but under grace, yet both the OT law and the NT law (Christ's) come from one God, how do we keep the law of Christ?

Not under the law for what?

Did you know the 10 commandments are IN THE ark and the rest are on the outside of it?

Do you know why we are not UNDER the law? THE NATION is gone.

400 years they were slaves. They knew NOTHING about running their own countries. God gave them the laws on how to run the government, how to police how to punish how not to punish how to how to divide the land ALONG with all the priests and the temple and the rituals that went along with animal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin

ONCE Christ came and was rejected the temple was on 'probation' 40 years and when that was destroyed there was NO nation, no temple, no land, no peoples NO NEED FOR LAWS to run what no longer existed. AND BONUS, all the laws that were contrary were nailed to the cross and since the LORD AND KING had been born, no need to 'protect' that bloodline anymore from attacks by Satan. Salvation opened to all.

CHRIST became the Lamb slain, the last bloodshed with the blood of infinite value, for the forgiveness and covering of sin. He became the 'temple we to and become a part of' the priest we confess to, the Priest who intercedes on our behalf making us clean to we can talk to GOD ourselves ONE OF THE very best things is He rent that vail. HOW DID THEY EVER LIVE before that day??? WE are so blessed, so very blessed to live UNDER GRACE and not have someone else talk to God for us. How many people don't love the Lord enough to even go and read about the temple 'furniture' and how knowing about those things brings us closer to GOD?

So no longer was a temple needed, WE have the Lord and Savior, and together WE became the temple. And the temple grew and grew DESPITE all the attacks upon it from the prince of the power of the air and all his minions working underground all these years. BUT the locusts are starting to be seen..

So, now it is through FAITH and not the old work, it's through the heart and soul and not the building or the land or the bloodline.

But don't think GOD HAS CHANGED. If we could have 'kept' HIM where He deserves to be the law would have stood would have brought us to faith, but because MAN is weak and easily deceived and CANT FOLLOW rules, and sinful and proud and ever so sottish, here we are.

When you love someone, you treat them well. You want the very best for them. You never want to hurt them. You want them to know all the really important things you know. You want to protect them. You want to see them succeed. You want them to be happy. THAT is what the Law of Christ is. That is actually what the laws were before, because if you follow them then GOD can be right there blessing you all the time and HE truly knows how we live together best.

The food laws were to keep our bodies healthy and disease free so they were not just for the JEWS but for all those who wish to be a good soldier for Christ. Can't do the work if the food you eat makes you sick, right? I will admit, some of those laws I have no understanding of, but doesn't mean they don't have great value my limited intelligence can't figure out, but I TRUST GOD and that's good enough for me.

Remember Jesus is THE WORD made flesh. He is what the law produces when you love God and follow them. It molds your mind and heart and you just keep getting better.

I hope I helped a little bit. Good luck

Actually the Law of Moses is the Law of Christ when you understand who was given the laws in the first place. Moses have no laws, so wording it or saying Moses vs Christ laws really causes confusion. But let's take a look and see who was back there in the days of Moses in 1 Corinthians 10: 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 and did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

So that was Christ back in those days of Moses given him the ten Commandments. Let's get another example in John 8: 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Again Jesus letting us know he was there always. So let's deal with the law a little here see if we can get some understanding here, but first Jesus says something in Matthew 5: 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Now this law Jesus is referring to is the ten Commandments, Status and Judgements, but the there was another law that was added because of sin which is the animal Sacrificial laws. This was instituted by the priesthood. But Paul talk about this in (Gal. 3:1, 13, 16-17, 19, 24) (v.1) O FOOLISH Ga-la’-tians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? (v.13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, CURSED IS EVERYONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE: What law is this talking about? Let the bible speak for itself.

(v.16) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of One, AND TO THY SEED, which is Christ. (v.17) And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Now pay attention, the law that is being spoken of here came four hundred and thirty years after this covenant. But God’s holy commandments have been around forever even before man was created. Remember that Satan was kicked out of heaven because iniquity (sin) was found in him. And what is sin? The transgression of the law (commandments). Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.) It doesn’t matter what you or I think sin is, it’s what God says sin is that counts. (1John 3:4)

(v.19) Wherefore then serveth the law? A question is being asked here. Then why should we serve this law? It was added because of transgression, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; the law that we are talking about here was added because of sin. But we now know that sin is the transgression of the law.

How do you add a law if sin is the transgression of the law? Because there are two sets of laws, you have God’s holy commandments which abided forever, and you had the animal sacrificial law which was added because of sin, but it was only good until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and that seed was Jesus.

(v.24) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. This animal sacrificial law was only a schoolmaster. And this schoolmaster taught you that when you sinned in ignorance blood had to be shed (an animal sacrificed). But Christ being the ultimate sacrifice shed his precious blood once and for all, and by doing this putting an end to the animal sacrificial law. Paul says in Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

I don't think they we can keep the law of God, in the flesh... only by the power of the Spirit of God, living in us, can we hope for this to be done in us.

Rom 2: 14-15 For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves; Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another
That is why when a person is born again He gets perfected by the Holy Spirit, who changes his heart by filling it with divine love so that all his thoughts and actions are motivated by love, thus obeying the Spirit of the Law.
Rom 3: 19-20 Now we know that whatever things the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore, by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
After eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they became aware of their sin and were then under the law. There is nothing that man can do to be justified in His eyes.
Gen 5: 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.
Seth inherits his parents knowledge of good and evil.
Romans 4: 15 Because the law worketh wrath; for where no law is, there is no transgression.
The law is a curse because it worketh wrath .
Gal 3: 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.
If you break one law, you have broken them all. If you think you are going to heaven because you obey God's commandments , you are doomed to failure and will be judged by the law. That is the curse. We cannot keep the letter of the law. Our sins are erased through Jesus Christ and we are perfected when God's Holy Spirit fills our hearts with divine love for God and man. That is how we are able to obey the commandments, when love is in our hearts.
1 Cor 13: 1-13
No matter what you do, it is worthless unless you do it with love in your heart. That is when you are obeying the Spirit of the Law, when your motivation for all your thoughts and actions is Love.

Romans 8:2-7
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

The carnal mind, the flesh, follows its own understanding of the Law. The carnal mind is all powerful in its own estimation. It makes all the decisions. It is what is righteous.

The spirit is not this way. The spirit must rely on the giver of this spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 15:5-6
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Being filled with love for God and everyone else is a state of being which can only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit. You can't think yourself or will yourself into this state of being. You can, however, feel it when you have this love.

As far as my handle, I registered as "Mission Impossible", but when I answer another question, I must've done something that somehow caused me to have two names. I also sent an e-mail to the ones in charge asking them to correct the problem, but I never received a reply.

how do we keep the law of Christ?
It's simple, we put our faith in Him and pray for His help and guidance. We keep the law of Christ by becoming true disciples of Christ. We walk with Him daily—He doesn't walk with us. By that I mean we follow Him, we don't ask Him to follow us.

"but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone." Romans 9:31-32

Let's add in this because a A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19).

This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).

brother this which Moses commanded in his law exodus 21:24

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

( Is in no way the same as this )

but I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:38-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s actually a direct contradiction Moses is telling us to take equal revenge an eye for an eye a wound for a wound justice

Jesus is saying “don’t take revenge turn the other cheek I’m the lord I will repay “

It’s opposite not because God changes but because he changed us . the difference in Moses words and Christs is who he was talking to

the law was for these before they had remission of sins and received the primose of the Holy Ghost

“knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can’t stay in that group , the law has a completely different purpose and can save no one

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that had to happen before the gospel could be preached to the world because it’s for sinners who acknolwedge thier guilt and repent the law had to prove all guilty of sin before Christ could come and remit our sins truly removing them

“What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This has to happen before this could happen

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, ( that’s what the law says )

that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you have the law proving everyone to be a sinner and needing salvation from God and then when all hope is lost you have the gospel

If people don’t acknolwedge they are sinners this doesn’t benefit them

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:21-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Theblaw had to rebuke man and make us aware of sin before Jesus could come and call us to repent of sin

the law had a time stamp it would carry the world through tonthe gospel that’s it’s purpose to lead the world to Jesus and his word

Christian’s have the gospel now

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:19, 22-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The law and the prophets were until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭

“now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; “

the law and prophets were foretelling the gospel to come later . it’s contrary at almost every point not only the example unused there but almost all of it is like that because one is meant to condemn sinners and hold them guilty

“the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

That had to be first and then the other came forth the gospel which is meant to call sinners to repentance having their sins remitted

“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:45-47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

see it isn’t the law that’s making the world guilty that’s preached but the gospel that came after meant to call to repentance and offer remission of sins that the law holds against man

the law of Moses is part of a plan it’s the first part that led mankind to the savior and need for him

consider forminstance the law of marriage Moses makes divorce a free option if a man is unhappy with his wife Jesus is asked about this and explains Moses was giving the law to people with hard sinful hearts and he doesn’t teach the same thing to Gods children

“The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:3, 7-9‬ ‭

Jesus is teaching Gods children Moses was teaching hard hearted rebels who never would repent and obey Sonora dofferent get divorced to keep the peace v don’t get divorced unless one of you cheats and defiles the marriage otherwise divorce is not acceptable like Moses taught nor remarriage as Moses taught

Jesus spends a lot of time correcting Moses words it’s one of the reasons israel denied him they were blinded by the veil of Moses words in the law

“and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses Testament isn’t for us it’s a witness of Jesus and the gospel which is for us it’s contrary so much so that the meeting of the apostles called it a hindrance to faith and commanded that it is Not our doctrine

“But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

…Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

….Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: but that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

……forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:5-6, 10, 19-20, 24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You said << This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).>>
What are the commandments of God? Could you name a few? [/QUOTE]
Love conntains all the laws needed to satisfy our Father.

I asked you a simple question. I didn't ask you for a link (I don't trust links). So, what are the commandments of God?

brother this which Moses commanded in his law exodus 21:24

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

Sorry, but I'm not interested in reading a "book" as an answer to my post. A simple piece of advice is to respond succinctly and to the point.
