Hmm, I'll be up that way for a wedding in KY late october...have to go up 24 to get there and it's nice to take a break somewhere along the way so that'd be neat.

We have the quiet opening on the first....grand opening probably in two months or so after I get more equipment installed.

I'm gone by like 2pm every day....maybe 3 or 4 depending on what I get done and need to do

Actually....
Don't tell nobody :censored:
Overflow Brews & Bakes
is the name of the place named after the 23rd Psalm verse 5.

The "DB" in my screen name takes after "duh Baptist" but I've never Baptized anyone so I'm not very good in that respect.

God has been so very good and kind to me....so I thought that the place's name should reflect that. The food is normal....kinda. you will recognize everything on the menu...nothing is all that odd or strange or takes three sentences to describe the ingredients.

None of the ingredients are so special as to only being picked only at midnight by 29 year old virgins under a cloudless sky with a full moon on an unknown pacific island.

It's scratch sourdough English muffins, scratch fresh made sausage with fresh sage, smoked gouda and brown eggs. AKA a sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin..

It's good like that. The taste is over the top because of the care we put into preparing every single item in our menu.

Or the Cumberland Pies (hand pies to those from the UK)

Or the cookies....

Or the fruit pies made with a cookie dough crust.

Or the ice cream you put on your cobbler. Or the cup of espresso based coffee..
Pot of tea or bobba tea.

I've never made a fortune
It's prob'ly too late now
But I won't worry about that
I'm happy anyhow
As I go along life's journey
I'm reaping better than I've sowed
I'm drinking from my saucer
Cause my cup has overflowed

...
Lord help me not complain
About the tough rows I have hoed
And I'll keep drinking from my saucer
Cause my cup has overflowed

Well if I can come by and get a cup o' joe around the 20th of October I'd certainly do so. Always a funny thing to bring the internet to "real life" so I guess I'll message closer to that date to see.

Maybe right about the time of the grand opening. Seems diverting enough. I think it's around the 22nd and maybe I'll be financially mobile and able to bounce around and still work Lord willing. I can't have my days be full of just leisure but it really is an interesting idea.

I had a cleaning company for a while and cleaned peoples houses. I called it Heaven Sent Cleaning.

I had just gone to visit the Pastor's Wife and told her I'd do anything, clean, take people to Dr., take someone to get groceries or get them and take them to the person. I had a full time job but needed to do things to make money for groceries as my pay took care of all my regular bills just not quite enough for food.

Shortly after I visited her she got a call in the church office and a older lady not a member of our church said she heard that we had someone who could clean her house so the Pastor's Wife called me and I went and cleaned house for the Laducas for about 4 years and it kept food on the table, but if that wasn't a direct answer from God I don't know what is and so that is why I named my company that name. God is good that is for sure and He has taken care of me all my life even when I didn't realize it.

Opening Day today....

I got the display cases filled with more on the way.
Whipped butter with Honey and cinnamon are everywhere too.

English muffins and loaves of bread and scones.....

The espresso machine was leaking and they were trying to fix it last night as I left. But I had already burned 13 hours in the kitchen.

Today ought to be fun!

Psalms 23:5
You have prepared a place for me in front of my enemies, you annoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.

If my circumstances were different and my location was closer, I would take you up on that job. Unfortunately I currently have neither the freedom nor the proximity. But I bet a job there would be fun and profitable at the same time.

I take it you are the one in the apron? Love your name for the shop. Jerry and I will have to come over maybe before winter hits. Would love to meet you so what are your hours that you are there?
Yeah....I'm wearing the apron.
We currently are open 7-3 until we get more staffing.
I'm there @4am until whenever until I get everything done. (Closed Sunday) Last night that was 5. I got another part time person starting Monday to help in the kitchen.

Good day yesterday....had over 60 customers. Food definitely was the draw. The neighbors complain that they can smell all up and down the block. Bread baking and sausage and cookies....whatever I'm cooking. The neighbors are a burger place...they came too.
They wiped out the cinnamon rolls....gotta make more of those this morning.

We have no fryers....we fry nothing. So no donuts. That doesn't mean that we serve low fat food....ha!
Scones, pastries and breads all are healthy and rich. No gluten free anything...and I haven't done maple anything yet....I'll get there. Just a matter of time.

I'd love to meet everyone. Just ask the lovely girls up front for John and tell them you are my friends. They'll come get me.

Don't bother with fryers. Let someone else handle donuts. Cinnamon rolls are where it's at.

And if you can make a good apple fritter, the city will beat a path to your door.
