Hello again Butterfly, if you wouldn't mind, please elaborate a bit on the words in bold above (as I'd like to make sure that I'm understanding your meaning before replying).

Thanks :)

God bless you!!

Scripture is the word of God given to us by The Holy Spirit through his prophets. These words are given to us as a written record of Him and the testimony of Jesus Christ. God is true and his word is true ans God is true to His word. He is not dishonest nor deceitful, and His word; the Holy Scriptures are the written authority empowered by The Holy Spirit by which we know God and His will. His word is true all else is lies.

There's also another reason why Jesus must come back as a male and won't come back as a woman. If He came back as a woman - that makes Him the Bride and not the Bridegroom. Coming back as the Bride totally throws off the message of the Bible and God the Father's plan.

If you are pointing out that God reserves certain things for Himself that we not allowed to do, I agree. He reserves the right to judge and mete out wrath whenever He so chooses, for example.

And then...

???????????? :unsure::confused:

So do you or do you not have a preference?
God is Holy Spirit. He manifest as a human Jewish male , to be the 2nd Adam and bring redemption to the world that was condemned by the first Adam by which sin entered the world.

Yes, I'd love God to manifest as a female in his second coming.

It would serve to put to rest the heresy and blasphemy that has contradicted God for centuries.
Those who install bigoted boundaries into the community Jesus/God made one in that Holy Spirit.

Those who insist women, solely because of their sex, cannot be called by God to preach, for example.

Bigotry and bigots that insists God is one too.

It's like that old joke in response to racist white supremacists that claim to be Christian.
The perfect payback when they die would be to arrive at their judgement to find God is a black man.
😆

Having sinned all their days as racist hateful people who insist God is white and his chosen are too. Thinking to tell us what God is. And can never be.

When all people are of God's image and likeness, there are folks who do think God is a male. And a Misogynistic one who would never allow women to serve his will or have authority over men.

Those people ignore what God said of himself and his human creation.
They also ignore or rework Paul's ministry wherein he boasted of the women who served as what we'd call pastors today.

They also ignore the fact it was by one man who not only failed as the head of the woman, Eve, but was of such poor cowardly character as to blame her for his weakness and disobedience against God who had given him the order to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Thinking man by virtue of his sex is God ordained to rule a woman is blind ignorance when the first man failed in his responsibility as soon as his nature fell due to his disobedience against God.

Eve was framed.

Adam is responsible for sin entering the world. Not Eve.

Any woman who has given birth knows female is not the weaker sex.

So yes, God manifesting as female in his second coming would surely teach this fallen world another lesson.
God is not a bigot.

Sin filled people are. Be they in the shadow of the cross or otherwise.

He did those things while he walked this earth 40 days after he resurrected.

If your article claims Jesus is that same mortal perishable human flesh in Heaven the author is a blasphemer.

I suggest you read the Bible.
Snarkiness is very unbecoming.

Especially from someone castigating others for being unChristian. The word hypocrite seems to apply here.

Nowhere does Scripture say Jesus no longer remains fully human or fully God.

That’s an invention from your head. Like trying to say God could be female.

Plus, you apparently didn’t even bother to read the article that used multiple passages of Scripture to make the point.

The Bible calls Jesus the man who is your one mediator between you and God. 1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

I can fully understand your feelings from the points that you've mentioned here: and they're good points, too! Quite often I'm embarrassed and ashamed to be of the male gender, when I think of how badly women have been treated by men, since the human race began!! And I apologise for that!

I'm just not sure, though, if there's concrete evidence in the Holy Scriptures for Jesus coming back as a woman: but if that did happen, then it would probably be for the best!!

Again a mix of lies truth and half truths just like satan corrupting eve in the garden. After i press return i will press ignore, not because i am bigot but because you lie. "Adam is responsible for sin entering the world. Not Eve." read below for the truth;
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree wasgood for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

Gen 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Gen 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wastnaked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall beto thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

That is very decent of you to apologize on behalf of the male population for the shoddy treatment of women .:D

The idea of Jesus coming back as a woman, though, is absolutely contradicted by Scripture .;):)

"Adam is responsible for sin entering the world. Not Eve." read below for the truth;
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and
death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.

Romans 5:15
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more
did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!

Romans 5:17-18
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more
will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life
through the one man, Jesus Christ! So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for
all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.

God is not both sexes. He is presented in the entire scripture as male. This thread is just garbage. Everybody already posted enough scripture and no one's listening. Females were created for the males according to Paul the apostle. And I have to disagree that Adam's to blame for the fall when Paul blamed Eve and said that men were in authority because she was deceived. Now if you believe that there are females in God you could say maybe one of the seven spirits of God mentioned in revelations was female but separate from Christ. Or maybe more than one. But some people believe the seven spirits are the seven angels of the book of Enoch. But since God created both genders in His image I'd say God has a girl or two in the seven spirits. But it's just crazy to think Christ will change genders. If you were always male it would be gross to change genders. After all scripture says he was like us and suffered every way. As for women pastors I'm all for it. I know plenty of good female preachers that took the same classes as me at Bible college. And I hope they get to preach.

well genesis says something different, the writing of God through Moses or the writings of paul, I prefer moses, he has precedence, this is a rule i always follow, both cannot be right.

See the post above the one you just made. God held Adam responsible. Eve sinned because she was
deceived; however, Adam was not deceived. That means he knowingly chose to sin, which is worse.

The Bible calls Jesus the man who is your one mediator between you and God. 1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
If Jesus ascended as a flesh, bone, and blood man he would have revoked the ransom he paid with his flesh and blood on the cross.

1 Peter 3:18
Because Christ also suffered once for sins,
the just for the unjust,
to bring you to God,
by being put to death in the flesh
but by being made alive in the spirit.

God is beyond gender.
yet He made a point of creating it, of explicitly defining Himself as male, and of describing both Israel and the church as female - the divorced wife He will reconcile and the betrothed bride He will fulfill His vows to.

gender is certainly not a meaningless concept to Him. it is intentional.

Hello again Butterfly, after reading through what you just wrote it seems clear (at least to me) that your problem is not with bigoted men or a bigoted society, but with the Bible itself and, more importantly, with its Divine Author (as many of the things that you seem to be struggling with Biblically are things that He alone is responsible for. IOW, I believe that most of your "fight" is with Him, not with us in this case (I'm not telling you this to win an argument with you, or anything like that, but because I am truly concerned for you).

For clarity's sake, I'll comment quickly about some of what you just wrote, but again, I believe that the majority of what you are struggling with is something that you will need to bring directly to God Himself (to ask Him why He chose to make at least part of this world the way that He did/why He made reality in a way that stands in opposition to the way that you think it should be, because those are questions that only He can answer for you).

God is Holy Spirit. He manifest as a human Jewish male , to be the 2nd Adam and bring redemption to the world that was condemned by the first Adam by which sin entered the world.

Yes, I'd love God to manifest as a female in his second coming.
As I and others have already pointed out to you, we know that such a desire cannot/will not come true, because we already know, w/o a shadow of a doubt (thanks to passage after passage in the Bible), that the Lord Jesus Christ's "Second Coming" to this Earth will be as a man, not as a woman.

The Bible also makes it clear for us that God did not "manifest" Himself as a Jewish male when He came here to save us, rather, He was "born" into this world as our Savior in the natural way, as a baby boy.

Finally, while it's true that the Father is spirit, and that the Holy Spirit is spirit, the Person we refer to as "Father" (in terms of the Godhead) is different from the Person who we refer to as "Holy Spirit".

I'm afraid that the problem with such Biblical teachings being heretical/blasphemous and contradictory is the fact that God is behind them all (which means that God, as the Bible's Divine Author of BOTH the passages that you like AND the passages that you don't, would be contradicting Himself).

Having sinned all their days as racist hateful people who insist God is white and his chosen are too.
I have honestly, in my 66 years on Earth, never heard anyone insist that God is "white", or that all of His true followers are, just FYI (in person, on the air, or in print). I'm not saying that people haven't done so (insist that He and all of His followers must be white. black, red or yellow), but it can hardly be considered a worldwide, or even a local, "norm".

When all people are of God's image and likeness, there are folks who do think God is a male. And a Misogynistic one who would never allow women to serve his will or have authority over men.
I guess the question needs to be asked, what does it mean that we, men and women, that is, are made in His "image"

I can't speak for someone who thinks that God the Father is a man in the same sense that human men are men (as I do not believe that is true), but there is no question that God, at the very least, IDENTIFIES Himself as "male" from cover to cover in the Bible. For instance, when the Lord Jesus lived among us, He never taught about or prayed to His/our heavenly "Mother" instead of "Father", or referred to the Holy Spirit by using pronouns other than He/Him.

Finally, doesn't the definition of "serving God's will" include both 1. ~doing~ what He commands us to do, and 2. ~not~ doing what He commands us ~not~ to do as well

...people ignore what God said of himself and his human creation. They also ignore or rework Paul's ministry wherein he boasted of the women who served as what we'd call pastors today.
Please tell us where we can find the Apostle Paul boasting about women who served as pastors (because if it's really in there, I don't remember reading it .. just FYI, deacons/deaconesses refer to a different position or role in the church than that of overseers, elders, pastors, etc.).

They also ignore the fact it was by one man who not only failed as the head of the woman, Eve, but was of such poor cowardly character as to blame her for his weakness and disobedience against God who had given him the order to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Actually, Adam aimed most of his "blame" directly at God (as the One who made/gave his wife to him), while Eve, even though she admitted falling for/giving into the serpent's deception, blamed him for her shortcomings .. e.g. Genesis 3:12-13. Sadly, it seems that very little has changed over all of these years with our fallen race as we never want to own up to our peccadillos/foibles, much less to our sins that cause great harm to ourselves and/or others, like our first parents' sin did :(

All of this is detailed for us in the Bible (a Book that was inspired/Divinely Authored long after our first parents fell into sin).

I agree with you (as does the Bible) that our world is fallen because of Adam's sin, not Eve's. That said, the reason that God gave headship in the home to the husband, as admittedly fallible as most of us clearly are, is because Eve was deceived by the devil and Adam was not, and by doing so demonstrated that she had a somewhat weaker character, morally speaking (I don't believe that physical strength and/or the ability to endure greater pain had anything to do with God's decision in this matter).

I also believe that God would have given women spiritual headship over their husbands in marriage if He knew that making that choice would have been a better idea for us.

Just to be clear, man being the spiritual head of his wife in marriage has nothing to do with a harsh, dictatorial rule of some kind over her (where a wife has no say so in her marriage/over her and/or her family's life .. no marriage that I know of would survive that ;)).

If that is the case in a real-life marriage (a dictatorial rule, that is), rather than the Biblical model of a husband who lovingly leads and (if need be) sacrifices his life for his wife/for her good, just as Christ loved and sacrificed Himself for the church, then such a husband is not obeying the mandates that are given to Him by God in the Bible (instead, he is sinning against his wife AND God, and he needs to seek forgiveness from them both and repent).

As I said in the opening of this post, it seems to me that the axe that you have to grind about all of this is actually with God, since the concerns that you have are not with people breaking His commands as much as they are with the commands themselves!

God bless you!!

~Deuteronomy
