I'm researching the teachings of F.F. Bosworth and his book “Christ the Healer”

He basically teaches that divine healing is a promise of God so God's answer to healing is always yes and amen to the promises of Christ.

But I find this contradicting. Not that in Christ we do not see physical healing but to say it is always God's will doesn't take into account other scriptures.

What do you think?

The assertions Bosworth is making are the ones always used by faith healers: God has promised He will always heal us; if you don't get healed it's because of your lack of faith in His promises; even if you don't experience healing immediately, I'm telling you you're healed, so just keep believing, at least long enough for me to get out of town and deposit your donation.

I disagree

Jesu healed all who were sick or possessed of the devil. it was only in his home town HE could do no mighty miracles because of their
unbelief. Matthew 13:58.

Jesus healed everywhere he went.
Jesus healed on the Sabbath, healed Gentiles, sent his word, and healed; people touched him and were healed; Jesus said HE came to Heal LUke chapter 4

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, (those with no hope!)
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;(of the devil)
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

I know from experience and observation that God's answer, in regard to healing, is not always yes. At least not in the lifetimes of those in need of healing and have prayed for it.

Never heard of the guy, but based on what you have written, I would say it would be a waste of time to continue to research his teachings.

He seems to be spiritually unsound.

Yeah, that's the impression I get too.

This is a good video on Bosworth. He was closely associated with William Branham. The video talks about where Bosworth got a lot of his ideas and actually talks about Christ the Healer.

The man was attacked for bringing the gospel to Blacks in the South and beat him up pretty bad too. Most Baptists there were also members of the KKK. Mission Alliance was the group fellowship that the Pentacostel Movement came out of. Many were Baptist and founded in the 1800s, not in 1906.

The Azusa Street Revival was started in a prayer meeting with a Black Preacher, Rev. Seymour. Also though this is seen as the first, it was not. Earlier in 1890, there was an out pouring for the Holy Spirit on many.

I've seen disaster inches away from consuming buildings and property and stop and turn going the other direction. Rescue Responders saying to one another and to myself how they never saw anything like it before and they had years of being witnesses of such situations.

I've seen money just appear from random strangers. One man stopped me and said I think you are the one God is speaking about. He said your name is complete full name, never met him before.
Handed me a check with my name written on it in the Pay to line.

I've seen real cancer results with biopsies confirmed that when final preparations were being made for surgery the second set of images showed nothing was there, just disappeared.

I've even had people who asked for prayer claim they're healed. I guess I should have asked everyone if they had doctors proof, but enough times happened that includes doctors proof you just auto believe God is making a way.

I would never claim to have anything more special than anyone else. I believe I most likely have more Faith than the majority.

When I was around 45 I read some notes from my Grandfather about the Hebrew and when I believed it meant matched my Grandfather's notes, I was like Right On! My Dad said, you really do have that child like Faith you just believe God's Word is not only True but it is also for Today.

I do. I feel like a kid when my eyes are opened up to Meaning. And it definitely still is working Today as it did when it was written.

Yep, S Wigglesworth is on my top 5 list of preachers/teachers etc I listen to regularly. His wife, who was a Christian speaker even back in the day, taught Wigglesworth how to read with the Bible. That's the only book he ever read and he would not allow any magazines/newspapers in his house. He was so anointed, that people around him would be convicted and seek repentance. So he and F F Bosworth are two of my go to guys to get a spirit-filled teaching as I relax, usually at night.
