The old (Sinai) covenant is set aside. That is crystal clear from Hebrews 8:6-13.

Huh? That doesn’t make any sense. Of course Jesus didn’t come to make us lawless. He came to fulfill the righteous requirements of the law. In Christ, we died to the law.
In Christ I am buried with Him and raised to a new life with the power of the Helper.

Don’t stp at verse 7

Hebrews 8:8. But God found fault with the people and said
The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
Okay, thanks for adding that!
How about verse 9 where says that the New will not be like the Old?
9 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers...

But we're getting a lot of irons in the fire, so to speak... you didn't acknowledge yet, that the Old is indeed flawed?
Does that conflict with doctrines that you hold?

Oh, and I forgot verse 13:
13In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

1 John 3:4. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

This is New Testament! If you are adding or finishing or saying that Jesus did, that makes Jesus a sinner and we already know we are sinners, but I’m not accepting hama shyt

Yes, but you are not raised to life so that you can abide by the old law.

Oh, and I forgot verse 13:

. I believe the promise is still future because the promise is the Renewed covenant is in our hearts and no man will have to teach his neighbor/you anymore. See Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrew 8:8-11
The covenant made with the father’s did not have the Helper/Holy Spirit.
Verse 13 you are assuming it is the covenant but it is about the earth growing old and vanishing which is also still future.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

Mark 13:3 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

2 Peter 3:7
But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Revelation 20:11
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

>Psalm 102:25-26
“Of old You founded the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
Even they will perish, but You endure;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;

Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.

Yes, but you are not raised to life so that you can abide by the old law.
Romans 8:3-4

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Yes, but you are not raised to life so that you can abide by the old law.
Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” (Matthew 5:17–18).

Remember Jeremiah and Hebrew says

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

Verse 13 has nothing to do with the Earth... the bulk of Hebrews is about the New, completely New, and better Covenant... that's it's whole theme and focus.

I can see that really into your beliefs, but the Old Covenant was not "renewed". There's no such thing in Scripture about the Old being renewed... there's quite a bit about it replaced. You're projecting your personal ideas unto God's Word... and moved in to "another Gospel.

I hope that you would put as much energy into studying the whole of the book of Hebrews as you have in learning how to return to the Old.

Have you ever heard of the law of definitions?

Consider that The LORD created the moon only once. He does not need to recreate it. However, the moon is our example of being RENEWED every 29-30 days. Like I said I’m on my phone so I’m going to ask you to do both a Hebrew and Greek study on new and renewed.

Jeremiah 31:31-33 are the most cited verses detailing the New Covenant.

In it we find:
 Israel broke the covenant
 YHWH was their husband, but is no more (also see Jeremiah 3:8)
 YHWH renews the covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah by putting His
Torah in them once again.
 We will know YHWH.
 We will no longer have to teach each other the Word.
 Israel’s sins will be forgiven.
Jeremiah 31:31-33
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord (YHWH), when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord (YHWH). For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord (YHWH): I will put my law (TORAH) within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord (YHWH). For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Though we are in the new covenant, not all of these promises have been fulfilled yet. For example, we are still teaching each other the Word of God. This will be fulfilled at the coming of our Messiah through the resurrection.
The most important thing to note is that the New Covenant is defined as the Torah being on our heart.
This means that we will want to do the Torah. Some teach that the New Covenant gave us a new law, but this is the exact opposite of what the prophets state.
Ezekiel 11:19-20
And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 36:26-27
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
Our Messiah entered us into the New Covenant and began the process of reuniting the House of Judah back with the House of Israel.
Luke 22:20
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

(Also see 1 Corinthians 11:25)
Our Messiah also practiced and taught the Torah as our example. His death on the cross demonstrated our Creator’s love for us, which causes us to want to love Him back by obeying His Torah.
1 John 5:1-3
Everyone who believes that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Christ (Messiah) has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
Hebrews 8 discusses the circumstances leading to the New Covenant in depth and it is a popular chapter.
Hebrews 8:1-13
Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law. They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, “See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.” But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.
For he finds fault with them when he says:
“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
For they did not continue in my covenant,
and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor
and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’
for they shall all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete
and growing old is ready to vanish away

And if you think you need to ’follow the law’ that you might maintain righteousness, you must follow THE WHOLE LAW. Since you cannot do that, you will pick and choose which ordinances you will follow (according to your own interpretation), and will claim that others need to follow the same law, (again according to your interpretation).

Meanwhile, I will enjoy living in Christ without striving to fulfill a law He already fulfilled perfectly.

I have put in boldface font the parts you seem to be overlooking….

Christ is the mediator of the NEW covenant, not the old (Sinai) covenant. The new is NOT based on the laws given through Moses. You cannot point to the Sinai law as instruction for those under the new covenant. Sabbath was given as a ‘law’ under Moses, and not before.

You are free to do as you see fit, but when you teach something inconsistent with His word, you are leading others astray.

Both Paul and James teach that those who rely on following the law to be righteous are obligated to obey the whole law, and Paul adds in this case, Christ died for nothing.

I disagree because this is the same reason why other Christians are doing the same thing as you are saying.

I do not read the sripture the way you do.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

In the spiritual sense, we are a new creation in Christ, hence, the geographical divisions do not apply. So I would not refer to myself as a Jew or a Gentile. I believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I do not belong to any church organization.
Do you not understand when I say, I am only a Jew by translation.. a praiser of God.

As We Observe The Seventh Day Sabbath As A Sing Between Him And Us Being Holy/Scripture

Love, Walter And Debbie

Thanks Walter and Debbie for your statements. It must be that you are thinking of Exodus 31:13: "Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you." This is an important scripture because it shows us that God does all of the work of saving/sanctifying the believer. That's why it says: "I am the LORD that doth sanctify you." Everyone knows that the sabbath is called the day of rest. But the meaning of that is that God did all the work on the cross to save us, and we could not save ourselves by our own work. So, in regards to salvation, we only rest in that regard, glorifying God for what he did for us. We don't have to go to a certain building on a certain day to make ourselves sanctified in God's eyes. We 'keep' the sabbath by simply being saved by God's work on the cross. In like manner, we do not have to go to a barnyard to take a perfect lamb to slaughter it to apply the blood to cover our sins. This was done in the law to paint a picture of what the real thing is. Jesus was slaughtered to pay for our sins.

I like how you pointed people to Luke 4:16. It is a scripture showing that the sabbath is intended to show how God sets people free by his work on the cross for them: "he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,"
