Christ and Messiah are equivalent, meaning Anointed (One).
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
God was manifest in the flesh
“And she shall
bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.”
Matthew 1:21-23 KJV
“For unto us
a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and
his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
The son is the fulness of the only God manifest to all people in the form and body of Jesus christ
“For
in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Colossians 2:9 KJV
that’s why Jesus is so important in the Bible he is the lord
“Ye are
my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore
ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.”
Isaiah 43:10-12, 14-15 KJV
This was Jesus speaking before he came forth and was manifest in the flesh it’s why the gospels constantly identify him in ot prophecy
“I am the LORD” he said this when no one had ever really met him
Then after Jesus came his witnesses
“and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:11 KJV
Remember the glory Jesus returned to after he died and rose
“And now, O
Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory
which I had with thee
before the world was.”
John 17:5
When the lord looked down from heaven in the ot and saw man was lost on sin it wasn’t a different lord ot was that he hadn’t yet come forth with salvstion to mankind that’s what Jesus did he is god who came forth in the flesh and showed us salvstion invited us to believe and be saved then returned to the glory of heavens kingdom
