Recently I came across this video on Youtube where the guy uses software to count number of occurrences of certain words in the bible and the King James version is just FILLED completely with all kinds of secret messages.

I downloaded the software (King James Pure Bible Search) and went to work... so far I found prophet Muhammad's birth and death year:oops:

I looked up all occurrences and variations of the words false, prophet and Ishmaelite. I got 633 occurences in 570 verses.

false|falsely|falsehood
prophet|prophet's|prophets|
ishmaelite|ishmael|ishmael's|ishmaelites

Now I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence/confirmation bias.

The guy's Youtube channel has a lot of other videos with countless other encoded formulas that make it just about impossible to dismiss the whole thing as coincidence or conspiracy.
I watched some of the video.
I also had a peek at the various sites he cites on his YT channel.
I didn't learn anything new, except that doing this activity stops me reading & studying the Bible (various translations) and commentaries. It seems to me the Word of God doesn't need to be proved as such.
Fair enough if that's what interests you, but I don't see how it edifies a person.
Keep it simple, I say.

Here is the video posted by another user on here. At 50:05 he starts talking about very similar Bible code as ones being discussed here. Then they actually spell out the statistical probability of that being an accident.

Thank you for sharing, always appreciated Chuck Missler.
best wishes:)(y)

We don’t need codes to determine what has already been foretold and prophesied. The LORD sent the Prophets and He wrote us a Book that reveals everything we need to know today. The last book in the Bible is even called Revelation which, of course, means to "to reveal" or "unveil" something—to make known. I’m sticking with God’s Word.
We know we have an infinite God whose love for us we will never fully comprehend.
I really doubt He "put a code in" His scripture, more likely He is so very supernatural all that He does is vast, intricate, incredible, unfathomable, and He allows some of it to be revealed to us as we desire to grow in Him.
It is said Moses "knew His ways"

It is "God's Word" that instructs us Holy Spirit will guide, speak and show us all truth in these last of the last days.
In such we will not "lean on our own understanding" as we are warned repeatedly.
blessings:)

There's no need to scrutinise the Bible for hidden codes & meanings.
We're surrounded by codes & numbers in nature that are clearly seen, and MUCH more pleasant to observe.
They clearly prove God's handiwork.
Open your eyes and see:

Very interesting take.

"We make things by the law in which we are made"

Although personally, I wouldn't use myths as an example when ministering to somebody. I usually present the argument that *if* there was an all powerful, loving God who created everything, then why wouldn't you want to worship him? Typical objections are along the lines of "God killed innocent people" or "God sentences people to eternal punishment for temporary crimes" etc. But if they agree and just want proof of God's existence, then I explain that if there was an all powerful, loving God who for some reason chose to create Satan and have him blind us from seeing him, then we must worship him anyway, because it's like being trapped in a cave... you don't hear anything on the outside, so you don't know if anybody hears you or knows where you are, but you're still going to try and keep calling for help. And it's also like looking for a loved one who is lost in the wilderness.... you don't hear or see anything, but that doesn't mean you're not going to flip every rock and open every collapsed cave to find them. So should the search for God be. There is a reason why God chose to make things the way they are and if one really wants to see proof of God all they have to do is ask him. However many people do claim that they "asked" but God never answered, and my objection to them would be they are not asking from the bottom of their conscious and subconscious mind (I would say heart and soul, but that wouldn't sound "logical" to unbelievers). Using logic is very important when ministering because we live in the most scientifically advanced time in all of recorded history. Satan constantly uses logic and science to defeat people's faith. So we too must use logic in conjunction with faith.
We are all wonderfully made, yet we are all wonderfully different. The poor, undereducated folks that walk our planet have the same access to God as the wealthy-highly educated individual. Some times the life lived, the kind acts, the attitude presented during sufferings, provides the basis for an unbeliever to lower their defenses. Using logic may or may not work—because I’m not sure that God fits with human logic very well. The Holy Spirit seems to do the hard work at the point of salvation-He softens ones hardened heart. It would be great for everyone to be saved in their youth, but some are satisfied with religion and doing a few good deeds—It is a matter of the heart, and it takes more than mere words or intellectual arguments to change that.

We must see our need for a Saviour.

The other member already explained this contradiction in detail, what else do you want?
I want you do admit that the contradiction probably would not be there if God were as involved in the development of the KJV as you seem to believe.

So KJV onlyists caused this whole pronoun problem. Confound it and be bothercated.
My pronoun are thee, thou, and himest.
Love it! Btw I don’t think it matters for 95% of the verses as the context makes things perfectly clear. On the other hand, when you get close up on certain verses it helps clarify the participants properly.

While I agree with you on this point, it is not enough to warrant choosing a translation that is otherwise written in 400-year-old language. ;)

Again, you're trying to turn it back on me. I'm not the one making the claim, you are.
And again you use logical fallacies such as argument from authority to demand a "controlled study" when anyone can do the study from their own computer just by plugging in the numbers shown to them in the video.

KJV did not write history, it merely translated from original Hebrew, so your problem is with the original manuscripts. There are hundreds of contradictions like this in the original languages and there is a plausible explanation (as the other user already posted) for each one.
remember, you know this, because we've discussed this.
the kjv is the Textus Receptus.
therefore, the Old Testament is the Septuagint.

why is this worse?

well, if we translate Hebrew directly to English, we have the TRUTH!

but, if you use the Septuagint, you are taking the Hebrew translated to Greek and then from Greek to English.
so, it is not a direct translation like the Tanakh being translated from Hebrew to English.

the kjv [O.T.] is so far off, it literally is running blindfolded.

Well, the more I look into this, the more I think that using codes to prove anything at all is extremely fishy. There are infinite ways to alter letters on a computer in order to get a desired outcome. I have to add that all this code stuff borders on the occult, in my opinion, and it might easily lead people to reject the clear teachings of Scripture in favor of so-called codes that can be made to say whatever they want.
I've said this many times before, random letter codes have been DEBUNKED. This is not random letters or random words, this is specific words.

Part 2 of the interview. Has the Christian world been hoodwinked into rejecting the TR?

NO, because we have the CREATOR of the TR, Erasmus, claiming it was INCORRECT and should not be used.

i've studied this guy. you should look into his background secrets before believing random strangers off youtube.

Much of what is foretold in the Bible is codified and hidden (Daniel's 40 week prophecy, most of the book of Revelation). Otherwise you would have to explain why there is pre-tribulation vs post-tribulation debates and MANY MANY disagreements on what the Bible actually says. Obviously it's not nearly as easy and clear as you make it out to be.
