We might sin after we have been saved but we should repent of it, and not want the sin anymore, and allow the Spirit to lead us.
There is a difference between being led of the Holy Spirit and committing a sin, and repenting of it not wanting it anymore, and moving forward in the Spirit, and someone holding on to sin, and repenting of it but not really giving up the sin but only repenting of it when they do it, and some people do not repent of it thinking it is unnecessary.
There is a lot of hypocrisy among people who claim Christianity that they are holding on to sin which you can see many are hypocritical by their lifestyle and actions, and believe they are right with God.
And many people say we are saved by faith, and that is all we need, and then they hold on to sin enjoying sin believing they can never fall because they have faith which they use that as an excuse that they are alright.
But charity, love in action, works, is greater than faith, and faith works by love.
If they do not have love then their faith does not count to save them.
Which the Bible says charity does not think an evil thought, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth to abstain from sin.
Love does not want to sin.
And the excuse we are only human so we cannot abstain from sin does not apply because the Bible says a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh because they have crucified the flesh with the affection and lusts which means there is no desire to sin, and they will only show the ways of the Spirit.
Also people sin because they enjoy the sin because if they did not enjoy the sin they would not do it.
So they cannot act as if they are sinning and cannot help it, and do not want the sin because if they sin then that means they enjoy it and want the sin, which the Bible says they are wilfully sinning so they are doing it on purpose so how is there an excuse.
The world does not have an excuse for their sin so how can saints have an excuse for their sin.
They say we cannot abstain from sin but they are sinning on purpose knowing they are sinning, and who twisted their arm to sin, or fooled them to sin that they sinned but did not want to sin.
They wanted to sin and then act as if there is an excuse for their sin.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The people that confess Christ have to depart from iniquity which is what seals the saints that they are with Jesus.
Which Jesus said you will know them by their fruits.
Which is the will of the Father that the saints abstain from sin which they could not be with Jesus for they were workers of iniquity.
Which there is no excuse for a Spirit led life will not sin.
These people want to enjoy sin and then say they are alright, and use the excuse they cannot abstain from sin.
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
They have a form of godliness but they deny the Spirit leading them because they want to enjoy sin being led of the flesh, which the Bible says to turn away from these people because of their hypocrisy.
They are ever learning, and never able to come to the truth that they have to abstain from sin to have a relationship with God.
They are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God which they love sin more than Him.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
If they hold on to sin then the blood of Christ cannot wash away that sin for God will not take away a sin they hold on to, but some people will use the excuse the sin is forgiven even when they hold on to the sin.
There are millions of people claiming Christianity that are enjoying the things of the world and holding on to that position with worldly entertainment, and loving money for their wants, and believe it is alright.
That is one of the reasons the world thinks that Christianity is not the answer for the world because of the millions of people that are hypocritical which they will cling to the new age movement interpretation of the Bible, and why many people will not embrace Christianity, but some people of the world will make up an excuse because they do not want to accept Christianity.
