Keeping the Sabbath holy testifies that God sanctifies us, so those who believe that to be true will live in a way that testifies about its truth by keeping the Sabbath holy.
those who believe God is He that sanctifies will indeed live in away that testifies it is so, but man who only sees what is done outwardly, in the flesh, and not what is in the heart, might not witness it.

but God searches the heart, and this is why He alone may judge.

Right. The divine nature. And how did that work? Did they apply themselves to learning the law and keeping it, or did they walk in the Spirit?
That is a false dichotomy. Aspects God's nature are fruits of the Spirit and God's law is His instructions for how to express aspects of the Spirit, so it is His instructions for how to walk in the Spirt, which is why Paul contrasted those who walk in the Spirit with those who have minds set on the flesh who are enemies of God who refuse to submit to God's law (Romans 8:4-7).

What is in our heart flows through our actions. In Proverbs 3:5-7, we have a choice between whether we are going to lean on our own understanding of right and wrong by doing what is right in our own eyes or whether we are going to trust in God with all of our heart to correctly divide between right and wrong through obeying His instructions in all of our ways and He will make our way straight. We can't trust God with all of our heart instead of trusting in His instructions. Do you trust in God with all of your heart to correctly divide between right and wrong through the Mosaic Law?

No. It clearly says they are without the law. This is your error. It is God who wills and does in the believer. Christ in us lives perfectly through the believer.
No one keeps the law through self endeavor. It is as we walk in the Spirit that we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Jesus set us free. You bind men by telling them to keep a law they cannot keep. Being led by God, sin never comes up because God never leads us into sin.

Have you ever asked why YHWH would place such importance on the Sabbath? It must be important; he announced it at creation and repeated this requirement many times.
  • Luke 13:10-13 Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. (11) And behold, there was a woman who had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. (12) When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your disability." (13) And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.
18 8.1.png

At a first glance this crippled woman's healing appears to be another miraculous account of Jesus power and authority over sickness and death.
  • However when reading this story a second time in context, this woman who was bent over for 18 years and was called "a daughter of Abraham” when she was healed by Jesus on the 7th day Sabbath (Luke 13:16),
  • is a hidden prophecy for a remnant of unrighteous Israel who will be forgiven of their sins and called "the promised sons and daughters of Abraham” by faith in Christ at the end of the tribulation, when they will enter the Lord's 7th millennium Sabbath rest.
  • 2 Peter 3:8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one (Sabbath) day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The 1,000 year Sabbath rest of the Lord in the 7th millennium, is foreshadowed by the 7th day when God rested from his work of 6 days in creation; that's symbolic for 6,000 years of God's redemptive work to save sinful mankind by faith, followed by the 7th millennium when one third of Israel will call upon Jesus in the 7th year of the tribulation, so they may enter God's eternal Sabbath rest by faith, Ex 20:8-11, Heb 4:1-11.

Gen 2:3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation (for six days).

Unrighteous Israel calls on Jesus for salvation and the forgiveness of their sins in the tribulation
  • Isaiah 4:1-4 And seven women shall take hold of one man in that day (of the 7 year tribulation), saying, "We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name (Jesus); take away our (sin and) disgrace." (2) In that (7th millennium Sabbath) day the branch of the LORD shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and honor of the (tribulation) survivors of Israel. (3) And he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy, everyone who has been recorded for (eternal) life in Jerusalem, (4) when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodstains of Jerusalem from its midst by a spirit of judgment and by a spirit of burning, (Zec 13:8-9).
  • Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years (in the 7th millennium Sabbath day of the Lord).
  • Col 2:16-17 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. (17) These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
The 7th day Sabbath is a shadow of God's 1,000 year Sabbath rest in the 7th millennium when the earth will be blessed with the knowledge of the Lord, while the resurrected saints will be united as one in holiness, when the nations will come to Jerusalem to worship and seek God's rest in the glorious presence of Jesus, who will rule in righteousness and truth under the authority of his heavenly Father, Mat 11:27, 28:18-20.
  • Isa 11:8-10 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. (9) They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. (10) In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples--of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.
When using scripture to interpret scripture, the number 18 (or 6+6+6) that represents bondage and slavery as a result of sin (Judges 3:12-15), implies this woman who was bent over for 18 years by a disabling spirit, represents Israel who is spiritually bent over by their sins and are in bondage Satan, due to their lack of faith in Jesus, Rom 11:5-10.
  • Judges 3:12, 14 And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done what was evil in the sight of the LORD....... (14) And the people of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
  • Rom 11:5-10 So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. (6) But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works (of the law); otherwise grace would no longer be grace. (7) What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking (by works). The elect obtained it (by faith), but the rest (of Israel) were hardened (in unbelief, Rom 11:25), (8) as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day." (9) And David says, "Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; (10) let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever."
Why is the Sabbath mentioned 5 times when this woman was healed?
The Sabbath that's mentioned 5 times in this story is a number that's symbolic for grace (5). And God's 7th day Sabbath of grace when this crippled woman was healed by Jesus, speaks of the 7th year of the tribulation in the 7th millennium when a spirit of grace will be poured out on Israel who is enslaved by their sin, when they will look upon their Messiah whom they have pierced and shall mourn for him, Luke 13:10, 14, 15, 16.
  • Zec 12:9-10 And on that day (of the Lord) I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (10) "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.
The 7th day Sabbath rest is a shadow of God's 7th millennium Sabbath rest for a remnant of Israel and mankind by faith in Christ, when Jesus will rule from Jerusalem for 1,000 years.

If people truly realized what God is offering in Christ, the law would never come up. God has made us partakers of the divine nature. The Spirit has taken up residence in us and Jesus has told us that both He and the Father will come and tabernacle with us. The very fellowship and communion that the Father, Son, and Spirit share is made available to us. And this is what we are encouraged to pursue. And as we spend time in the presence of God, we are made like Him.

the law is not made for the righteous, but for sinners.
You neglected to answer my question.

In Isaiah 51:7, the righteous are those on whose heart is the Mosaic Law, and in 1 John 3:7, everyone who is a doer of righteous works is righteous even as they are righteous. For God to be righteous means that He is a doer of righteous works and it would be contradictory for God to be righteous if He were not a doer of righteous works. God's law is His instructions for how to be doers of righteous works, not for how to become righteous. Instructions for how to be doers of righteousness are not made for the righteous who are already living in accordance with those instructions, but rather it is the unrighteous who need to be taught how to be doers of righteous works.

what did Christ accomplish?
In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and the Mosaic Law was how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20), so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel message. Furthermore, Jesus set a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to the Mosaic Law and we are told to follow his example (1 Peter 2:21-22) and that those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked (1 John 2:6). In Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so the way to believe in the sum of everything that Jesus accomplished through his ministry and through the cross is by becoming zealous for doing good works in obedience to the Mosaic Law (Acts 21:20) and the way to reject what he accomplished is by returning to the lawlessness that he gave himself to redeem us from.

Romans 3:1-2 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? 2 Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God.

Jews being entrusted with the oracles of God is what it means to have the law. In other words, Gentiles did not have Torah scrolls and needed to go through the Jews to have access to one, but if you own a copy of the Bible, then you have the law. Christ lived in obedience to the Mosaic Law, so that is the way that we also live when he is living in us. Someone that we do though self-endeavor does not involve relying on anyone else, so it is contradictory to think that it is self-endeavor to rely on God's instructions. The lusts of the flesh are all contrary to the Mosaic Law, so we do not live in disobedience to it when we are led by the Spirit.

In Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to free us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so the freedom that we have in Christ is the freedom from sin, not the freedom to do what God has revealed through the Mosaic Law to be sin. In Psalms 119:142, the Mosaic Law is truth, and in John 8:31-36, it lawlessness that puts us in bondage while it is the truth that sets us free, so I am setting people free to leading them to repent in accordance with the Gospel. In Romans 10:5-8, it references Deuteronomy 30:11-16 as the word of faith that we proclaim in regard to saying that the Mosaic Law is not too difficult for us to keep and that keeping it brings life and a blessing, but that is the word of faith that you deny. God leads us to do what is holy, righteous, and good by leading us to obey the Mosaic Law, which is the way that He saves us from not doing what is holy, righteous, and good.

If people truly realized what God is offering in Christ, the law would never come up. God has made us partakers of the divine nature. Rather, if people truly realized what God is offering in Christ, then they would be in favor of walking in obedience to the Mosaic Law because those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked (1 John 2:6). The way to be partakers of the divine nature is not by rejecting His laws for how to do that. The Spirit has the role of leading us to obey the Mosaic Law (Ezekiel 36:26-27). The way to have fellowship and communion with the Father, Son, and Spirit is not by rejecting His laws for how to do that.

Do you serve the God of Abraham?
You are more aligned now more than ever before because even though there is neither Jew nor Greek there's still only "one way" to the Father. The Jews might had called Gentiles following Yahweh wannabe Jews, but God never classified them as that. He only saw them as followers of Himself like He does today.
It makes even more sense when we translate Abraham's name, Father of peoples (or nations).

There advantage was that they of all the peoples of the earth had a relationship with God. That's not true anymore. There is no longer any wall of separation. No difference between Jew or Greek.
And you aren't advocating for Christ or walking in the Spirit. You are advocating obedience. You are all backwards. Seek His kingdom and His RIGHTEOUSNESS. That doesn't come from us trying to keep the law. It comes from being in God's presence.
No one is suggesting rejecting God's law. I'm advocating keeping them perfectly. And that only happens as Christ lives in and through us. Do you think Jesus got up each day and practiced obeying commandments? Of course He didn't. He got up each day and communed with the Father and did what He saw the Father doing. Sin wasn't talked about. He simply moved as God moved. In doing so He was always in the Father's will. And He will do the same thing through us. No one ever obeyed by trying to obey. People only obey as they walk in the Spirit. Why isn't this what you are encouraging people to do?

The Hebrews word "yada" refers to intimate relational knowledge gained through experience, such as in Genesis 4:1, Adam knew (yada) Eve, she conceived, and gave birth to Cain. The Mosaic Covenant is often described in terms of being a marriage relationship between God and Israel, so the purpose of the Mosaic Law is to teach us how to have an intimate relationship with God through acting in accordance with His nature. So if people want to have an intimate relationship with God, then they need to follow the instructions that God has given for how to do that. Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, so repenting from our disobedience to the Mosaic Law is the way to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness. we also see the effects of sin on the creation, but it didn't begin to speak of Him only after it was corrupted with death.

the sun and moon, the heavens declare Him from. the beginning, but there still shadows
Let's be clear....
The shadow laws were introduced because of sin. The laws that were nailed to the cross were the laws that Jesus fulfilled or is fulfilling.
We don't need an Earthly priest because Jesus is our priest.
The better system is the heavenly system and Jesus is both the lamb and high priest.

How is the Sabbath a shadow law if it was made holy before sin. A gift to mankind before sin. Made for man before sin.

God make it holy and we needed to keep it holy.

Creation itself was before sin and from it we know the invisible things.
Were shadow laws added before sin?

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Col 2: 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; ......17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

we also see the effects of sin on the creation, but it didn't begin to speak of Him only after it was corrupted with death.

the sun and moon, the heavens declare Him from. the beginning, but there still shadows
The effects of sin are not shadow laws, and the creation that testify to God's greatness are not shadow laws.

The lamb was God's creation but it wasn't until after sin that the death of the lamb was established.

Just the opposite. Him living in us is keeping the commandments.
What is Moses compared to Christ? What is anything compared to Christ? Perhaps read Hebrews?
If you focus on the law, you will die in your sins. If you focus on Christ, you will find life, and that more abundantly.

Of course shadows were before the law. Creation itself is a shadow of the re-creation to come. God specifically created as He did so that the invisible things of God are known through creation. Even the natural man is accountable to God because through creation and conscience He can know of God.
The Sabbath itself is a rest. It foreshadowed the rest believers are to find in Christ. All the promises of God are in Him yes, and in Him amen.
Because God took His time, around 4,000 years, to reveal Himself more fully doesn't mean He was not revealing Himself all along. He is a God of revelation. He desires to be known. The law itself is an aspect of His revelation, but it is hardly the greatest of His revelations. None are greater than Christ who is the very Creator of all things.
Folks who focus on the law generally miss Christ. Those who focus on Christ find life, and that more abundantly.

Just the opposite. Him living in us is keeping the commandments.
What is Moses compared to Christ? What is anything compared to Christ? Perhaps read Hebrews?
The same God who gave the law to Moses also sent Jesus in fulfillment of the promise to turn us from our wickedness in disobedience to it (Acts 3:25-26), so the there is no disagreement about the way that we should live.

If you focus on the law, you will die in your sins. If you focus on Christ, you will find life, and that more abundantly.
Christ began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, so it is contradictory to think that we should focus on Christ instead of what he taught or taught think that we should focus on the one who is the embodiment of God’s word instead of on embodying God’s word. The way to believe in God is by believing that we ought to be in His image, or in other words that we ought to be doers of His character traits in obedience to His word.

Christ came to free us from ritual, and to move on in relationship. You don't understand this and haven't experienced it. That's why the law is more important to you than Christ. I hope one day you will come to know the preeminence of Christ and to know Him. I hope you will at least prayerfully consider what I have shared.
Grace and peace.
