My beef initiating discussion here is with JD Vance's speech. Whether he is a good pick is a separate, though related question. My shock was that people were gaga for his speech that my household found to be void of any real depth or insight.

Zionist Whore with a strong Lindsey Graham closet homosexual kind of vibe. The perfect running mate for Orange Jesus. He could probably skin and roast a small child on a busy city sidewalk and the faux christian right would tell us it's OK, since he didn't have time to stop for lunch.
So much bearing false witness here I wouldn't know where to start.

No it is not hypocrisy but wisdom. The proxy war of the West through Ukraine was of no benefit to anyone (including the Ukrainians). After all those billions down the drain, and all those lives lost or devastated, Ukraine now sees that it must sit down and negotiate peace. And that could have been done right at the start, had the West not sabotaged every attempt at a peace deal.
We are agreed on this, but I have the same opinion about Israel. Billions down the drain for lost or devastated lives, all for the sake of keeping a godless bunch of Pharisees in power because they claim to be Jews (but are not).

Supporting Israel is a totally different matter. Israel is surrounded by Muslim and Arab nations who vowed right from the start to exterminate Israelis and wipe out Israel. America was the only ally of Israel for decades until Obama and Biden came along.
This is an Israeli lie (the wiping out of Israel). The only reason America has been the ally of the belligerent state of Israel for decades is that the legitimate president (Kennedy) was assassinated and replaced by those more supportive of the regime.

They gave the arch enemy of Israel -- Iran -- billions of dollars to fund terrorism against Israel and the world. And all these lame and late attempts by the Biden administration at this point do not make up for that. Biden and Blinken kept interfering with Israel to make sure that the terrorists were NOT wiped out.

But Israel allowed this war to go on for too long. Had they quickly and effectively shut down Gaza, Iran, the Houthis and Hezbollah would not have had a chance to get involved. And now we have a bigger issue because Netanyahu did not simply ignore Biden to begin with. There was no possibility of rescuing the hostages, since most of them were eventually murdered by those sadists.
I thought most of the hostages were killed by Israel themselves.

The real issue is that had Donald Trump rightfully remained as president, none of this would have happened.
He was shutting down Iran, but there too he was not drastic enough. The ayatollahs and mullahs only understand decisive action. The US and Israel should have jointly wiped out Iran's military and nuclear capability.
I think if Trump had stayed in power, this would not have happened. But from what I've seen of Trump, he has smarter ways of dealing with problems than war. This should be the norm rather than the exception.

Then why were the pro-Hamas protestors and everyone else shouting "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free"?

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” pro-Palestinian activists from London to Rome and Washington chanted in the volatile aftermath of Israel’s bloodiest day." AP News

So now you are deliberately telling an untruth about Israel.

The Israel we see today and on our maps today is the staging ground for the Antichrists'.

There is but one true Israel, and that is composed of allwho believe Yahweh, Yeshi Yah.

Having lived in Israel six months I know first hand that it could never be equated to the Israel of God...

Exactly. Wars resolve nothing, therefore the Cold War was the best deterrent to Soviet aggression. Under Trump -- and with the right advisers and cabinet -- the military strength of the USA should have been unsurpassed, but at the same time, diplomatic negotiations from a position of strength could resolve many issues.

Had Trump been president when Putin planned the Crimean invasion (which started everything else), he would (hopefully) have been put on notice that Russia, and particularly the Kremlin, would suffer grave consequences if he dared to invade another country. The same with Iran vs Israel.

I also doubt Trump would have continued to support NATO continue to breach the agreement previously made with Russia, whereby NATO was not to encroach ever closer to the Russian homeland. Thereby negating the main reason for Russian to invade Ukraine.

So now you are deliberately telling an untruth about Israel.
Please explain to me how a chant promoting freedom (as described) relates to the wiping out of any nation (including Israel), irrespective on which day it is chanted. Please also include in your explanation how your answer is consistent with Americans in 1776 embarking on freedom from British oppression, and how this aim was not consistent with wiping the United Kingdom "off the map", despite the associated bloodshed such aspirations would incur.

You are quick to throw the accusation of me telling untruths about Israel, but I suspect your answer to the above (or your inability to consistently do so) will simply expose that it is you telling untruths, against me, and on behalf of a godless and satanic state which you seem to defend irrespective of its crimes.

Thou shalt not kill. Perhaps some people feel they are free of obeying this commandment. It should be inscribed upon the heart for any who believe Jesus Yeshua. Yet so many promote the same.

Nothing new under the sun.. the Lord corrected Simon Peter when he cut the guards ear.. peaceful resistance. We are not called to battle with swords. Our Faith is enough unto the end.
