Both Sugar and Tango are close to me right now. They love their daddy. And mommy too! :p
I remember when one of them ate some thread? I hope he made a full recovery.

Always great to hear about their antics!

And please give JesusLives a hug for me.

:(

Quite frankly, I think my comments/remarks may have come from a bit of an overreaction (of sorts) - my apologies to all - carry on...

(What can I say - it just "streamed out of my consciousness" and into the keyboard - work and other IRL things have had me stressed as of late.)
This was very sweet of you to say, Gary.

No apology needed -- you brought up some very valid points.

I'm sorry about the stress you are going through and will keep you in my prayers.

The things you brought up have inspired me to write a new thread... I'll hopefully be posting it in the Family Forum today and if you wish to share any concerns and ideas about a more wide-reaching meetup (because we'd actually LOVE to have one!) please feel free to join us there! :)

I would LOVE to meet you, Kireina.

If you are ever going to be in the USA, please feel free to let me know.

Our group is really just a ragtag bunch of a handful of people who for some reason, started talking outside of the site -- and won't stop talking! :D

We have talked for many years about how we could expand our reaches to meet more people -- I'll be posting a thread about this in the Family Forum -- feel free to join us if you would like! ❤️

Yeah, that was Tango who ate the thread. The little guy needed surgery to remove it. An animal society contributed $2000 towards it and I was on the hook for another $2000. He was less than a year old, but I didn't have the heart to put him down since he was just getting started with his life.

The vet surgeon said that this one was not to be trusted. How true. Tango has been fine since and Sugar and Tango have brought much joy to both of our lives. They both celebrated their 9th birthday yesterday and have had happy lives thus far and are much loved.

Yeah, their antics are most amusing to be sure. :)

I will certainly give JesusLives a hug for you. I know that she has not been active in the threads for some time, but she is always asking me how everyone is doing. I guess that she writes in spurts.

I can't decide whether to make a BDF joke or a seoulsearch's long OPs joke.

Either way the cat got indigestion.

Hush Lynx.

I'm running an experiment to try to reach more people.

I know some married people don't feel comfortable posting in Singles (and I understand why.) But we've known several married people here for years and I would love to meet them and their spouses.

I tried Miscellaneous for a while but don't want to disturb the political discussion purpose it's currently being used for, so...

Family Forum seemed like the next prospective area of conquest.

I have a comfort zone too but at times it causes me discomfort. I believe that is what's called a conumdrum.

For anyone interested, the "Meetup Discussion" thread is now up in the Family Forum. :)

It could be interesting if people actually want to meet up and have some good ideas of how to protect each other's privacy at the same time. :)

Hi Guys. Long time I no write... Just dropped off the CC network for a while, but do think of you often. Thought I'd pop in and take a look around.

It is hard to believe to me that Tourist and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this year. Our cat/fur babies Sugar and Tango turned 9 on August 21st and we will have had them 9 years on November 21st.

I have landed in the hospital twice this year for AFIB and am trying to adult and be better because it is a combination of things that made me land there. Some I can correct other things like age I can't.. Just my body telling me that my check out date is coming eventually. But for now I'm alive and kicking.

So good to hear from you, @JesusLives!

I'm so sorry for all your health challenges and will keep you in my prayers.

Glad to hear Sugar and Tango are still keeping you company.

Big hugs! ❤️🙏💐

So this meet up where and when is it?
We are talking about possibly having something next year, so it would be a while. :D

We have a thread going in the Family Forum (to reach people outside Singles) and it would all depend on who's interested, who could go, and how it could happen affordably while still respecting people's privacy. :geek:

Earspray...

A while back I scanned an article from a paid journalist about earspray. No, not a mist you spray in your ears - he was writing a serious article about the faint music you can hear from someone else's earbuds. According to this article, earspray was a very bad thing. Not quite a menace, but a distraction and serious annoyance.

I come from the 80's when guys carried big boomboxes around on their shoulders.

Have we run out of things to complain about, to the point that we must dig this hard for them? Are we really so desperate for a gripe that we have to complain about very faint music from someone else's earbuds?

This was this journalist's JOB. He got paid for this article.

It is not in my power to enact, but I think some people need a stomach virus to put life in perspective. For a whole week after a stomach virus I bet people won't complain about "earspray."

I thought your "earspray" topic might go a different direction...

Speaking of faintly hearing music... have you noticed the interesting phenomena that can occur while straining to hear the faint music? You can hear different and new songs while listening to that faint music. It's almost like an audible Rorschach.
