There were seasons, Adam knew what a leaf looked like when it died. Adam named the dead leaf mantis because it looked like one as well. So death did happen in the beginning.

If you believe Adam and Eve knew what death was by looking at the animals, how then would they not know what childbirth pain was via the same mechanism? Your argument is inconsistent, unnecessary and can lead to heresy. If Eve had given birth to children prior to the fall, there would be sinless people without need of salvation. This is not the case.

They would have to be a animal to know what the pain would be. You cant just see a birth and know the level of pain.

Cain wasn't sinless and sin entered through one man and with Adam entered to all mankind. Abel was killed before Adam and Eve fall, Cain had to leave Eden and went to the land of Nod from what the Bible says.

Adam and Eve sinned in GN 3:6, and Cain slew Abel in GN 4:8.

I do not believe the old myth tradition that God's creation is only 6,000 years, and I am not an evolutionist, don't believe man's evolution theory at all.

What God's Word as written actually reveals, is that there are 3 world earth ages mentioned in His Word (by Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3).

1. "the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished" -- the old world, God's original creation in the beginning, the time when Lucifer served God at His Altar. When Lucifer rebelled in coveting God's Throne, God then destroyed that old world. The earth laying in a state of destruction by waters of a flood is what the Genesis 1:2 verse is actually about, per the Hebrew. (Obviously then, this was NOT about the flood of Noah's day. Noah was not around yet when Lucifer first rebelled in that old world, and God brought this first flood of destruction upon the earth.)

2. "the heavens and the earth, which are now" -- this present 2nd world earth age we are still in today, which began right after Genesis 1:2 when God began to move those waters overspread upon the earth to create 'today's' sky ("firmament"), and further moving the waters left on earth to uncover the earth soil. Per Jeremiah 4, God showed that He would not make a full end of that previous destruction of His original creation, but that the earth would 'mourn' and the heavens above would be black (today's weather system, storms, etc.).

3. "new heavens and a new earth" -- God's future world to come once death, sin, Satan, and the wicked, are all destroyed.

There is no way to know just how old God's creation really is, and I point to His 'original' perfect creation in the "beginning" like Genesis 1:1 states. It's an old tradition that tries to claim Genesis 1:1 is just a summary type statement, with the detail of it being given in the Genesis 1 verses that follow. That's not really true, as Apostle Paul in Romans 8:18-25 revealed that God placed His 'original' creation in 'bondage of corruption', as the whole creation seeks a release and the future manifesting of the "sons of God". While most wrongly believe today's state of the creation is perfect the way God intended, His Word instead shows that this present 2nd world earth age is in an 'imperfect' state, in "bondage of corruption" (Rom.8:21-22). This is also why Peter said in 2 Peter 3 that this present world is preserved unto destruction by God's consuming fire.

I remember that you believe in the Gap Theory.

I believe in a young earth, but not necessarily that the earth is 6,000 years old. I still have to read up more on how that could be? I don't believe in the Gap Theory though.

So when this age is over, one of the things I want to ask the Lord is how old this earth is. Not that it will matter much because 1,000 years after He returns, God the Father is going to make a new version anyway.

Another aspect that I have not noticed included in this discussion is that if 6,000 years ago God created a cosmos that appears to be 6 billion years old, then was He trying to trick scientists? Why?

I read the days as such, 1,2,4,3,5,6.
Same order of the chapters, except verse 25,26, in chapter 4 remains.

The Bible says:

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

So it looks more like the secular scientists are fooling themselves, coming up with all these theories that keeps God out of it so that no one will believe He exists and that He actually created it. They SAY that the cosmos appears to be 6 billion years old, but did they ask God?

And they start EARLY. When I was five years old, my family emigrated to the US. We had only 1 or two toys per kid, but my parents were WONDERFUL to buy a set of World Encyclopedias and set of Childcraft books. That's where i fell in love with reading. That was also when I fell in love with science - but like I said, I poured through all the Childcraft books and EVERY letter of the encyclopedia books. NOT ONE ever mentioned God's hand in the creation of everything or that He was the one that set down the laws of Physics and Mathematics.

Wow... what a complete misattribution!

God did nothing of the sort. Anti-theistic "scientists" invented long ages to allow time for evolution, deposition, and erosion. They used unprovable hypotheses to "confirm" their findings. They date the rocks by the fossils in them, and the fossils by the rocks they're in.

When you start with the correct foundation (right belief in God, His word, and His character) and look at the world through those lenses, you see it as He intends. When you start with the world and try to see God through it, your "vision" is distorted by your assumptions.

That's OK, that you don't believe the Gap idea of Genesis 1.

I'm pretty sure when Lord Jesus returns, everyone is going to know the past history back to Lucifer's original rebellion. But for the new heavens and a new earth, God has shown all before that will be forgotten.

Isa 65:17-18
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

Not my intention to offend, but the way I see today's debates between evolutionists and young earther's is like two children back and forth in an argument. They simply have not considered the fossil evidence according to God's written Word. This is why the Gap idea in God's Word boggles both of their minds.

God left us evidence that His original creation is very old.

Fossilized dinosaur footprints that stepped on a perfect human arch footprint, fossilized at the same time, reveal humans existed back to the time of dinosaurs. Yet no human skeletal remains have been found with dinosaur fossils. What made the human footprint which the dinosaur stepped on then? Some YEC (young earth creationists) thus assume that dinosaurs must still be walking around on earth today. Seen any? Like I said, that kind of false assumption is childishness, just as childish as dating dinosaurs back 65 million years ago when they can't really prove it.

Now the woolly mammoths found buried in ice in the Arctic region are interesting, because they don't require a bunch of man's scientific thought to grasp that they represent a 'mystery' about earth history.

Woolly mammoths have been found frozen in the Arctic still with vegetation undigested in its stomach, and in its mouth, with no decay, revealing that it was frozen instantly while grazing in a green field in the Arctic zone near the North Pole. That evidence suggests an instant freeze, including the water surrounding it.

Not many realize that tropical animal and plant fossils are found at both the earth's Poles. Scientists try to say that happened from the earth's crust shifting location over time. Sounds about like their false evolution theory, "well over a billion years an organism in the water became a man."

What does God's Word actually suggest happened that caused those above evidences?

In Revelation 21, God said in the future new heavens and a new earth there will be no more sea. That means no more oceans and seas upon the earth which cover about 70% of the earth's surface today. Where is all that water going to go? Back up in the sky ("firmament") where it originally was at God's original creation in the "beginning" of Genesis 1:1.

I had to take a weather class long ago required by my degree, and it shows that today's weather system upon the earth is caused by hot air and sun radiation hitting the land with hot air thus rising to meet cold air falling from above, and thus the swirling effects of storms, tornadoes, hurricanes. cyclone's, etc., and water evaporation rising to fill the clouds which eventually have to drop rain because of it. This happens because there are holes in the atmosphere around the earth.

But what would happen if all those holes in today's sky were plugged by the seas and oceans going up to fill them, causing a complete covered canopy around the earth? It would create a greenhouse effect, even temperatures around the whole... earth, even at the earth's Poles. The result? a literal tropical Paradise upon the whole earth. For me, that explains why tropical fossils are found at both the earth's Poles, and even in the deserts. I believe God's original creation was 'perfect'... prior to Lucifer's rebellion.

Then there's the matter that Apostle Paul taught in Romans 8:18-25 about God's creation, showing that God placed His creation into "bondage of corruption", into "vanity", and the whole creation groans today for a release from it. So when... did God do that? And what does that suggest how His creation was BEFORE He placed it into "bondage of corruption"?

So I'm not really going out on a limb with this, God's Word points to a previous world earth age before Adam, when Lucifer was perfect in his ways in a perfect creation.

Well, there is no crucial problem with scientists believing that physics indicates the cosmos is 6 billion years old as long as they admit that apparently God created it, since there is no basis in physics to believe otherwise, right?

Six thousand years really isn't all that long ago.

For example, the six loses two between now and when Jesus was born. That
leaves four. Then the four loses two between Jesus' birth and the Step
Pyramid of Djoser. That leaves only two thousand years for the young-earth
folks to work with between Djoser and Gen 1:1.
