Didnt someone try to appease Jesus? I'm pretty sure The guy said To Jesus calling him Good sir. Jesus didn't have tell him it was a lie, Jesus just spoke the truth. and Not to make excuse saying Jesus is God, Jesus was being real a man and spoke as a man of God to another man.
It's up to you to see if Jesus was saying he not speaking the truth .
I would say that the man wasn't lying when he called Jesus "good." He seems not to have realised the full implications of calling Him good, that if He is truly good, He is God. The man was mistaken, but that doesn't mean he was lying. If a child at school spells a word wrongly, or gets the answer to a maths problem wrong, is he lying? Of course not. Lying involves knowing the truth, but saying something else.

Certainly your example of the man calling Jesus good does not mean that all men are liars.

If I speak the truth in the Holy Spirit a caramel mine at man will still call me a liar just so you understand what I was trying to point out and why you say it's tension and this and that and the other I no clue why you would jump on that ship
Please explain, whatever is a caramel mine? A hole in the ground where people dig for toffees?

Forget all the additives

Jesus just showed the guy his heart was wrong go study the passage
Take any conversation you have in rehearse it in the holy spirit will show you all the lies in the conversation I'm only telling you this from experience of my knowledge and this is a daily ritual because man do not speak the truth as it is written
Don't get me wrong now man of God filled with the Holy SSpirit has a much better chance of speaking the truth . I'll do an additive just because a man leaves the Bible it doesn't mean he's filled with the Holy Spirit or knows the Living God and you can read in history book many have done it in the past looking for a high seat in the position they want to be honored by other men the same thing Jesus would show them the same thing as he did the young man without even using the word lie . Anybody can pull up scripture to relate to whatever I post one thing and people post a million scriptures like anybody in conversation they want to change the subject to draw attention to themselves I try not to change the subject unless it's absolutely necessary in the subject that's talked about is meaningless if I don't give glory to God I don't want to give credit to one speaking for their own deceitful agenda I'm not trying to back up no religion I don't hold no religion I do know religions many I don't even bother with . I'm like on today's news and hijacked an and claiming God to their religions secretly they have the right to kill this this is even in the old laws Stone and stone Again! They think they're doing their god of favor more religion is the same way believe their way or no way and if they can't get you to the point they'll send somebody else higher Dr chain to try to convince you yes I have my own knowledge of if I told you you wouldn't believe me but later on I seen a whole religion changed their doctor because of what the Holy Spirit did to me and it wasn't for the good of the glory of God by telling them certain things I enhance their lie and today I'm still leery about posting stuff on here because of that situation but I also learn a lot of other things that Glory the Lord God. See I'm going to tell you a secret I'm glad people say Jesus Christ and it's not for the glory of God the gladness is to help me do not waste my time trying to speak the truth to their inner man

Yes, but Jesus doesn't accuse the man of lying.

You still seem to be confusing lies with mistakes.

I don't try to change the subject on these threads either, and I certainly don't try to draw attention to myself.

You do a lot but you probably don't notice and most of the time I'm talking about men in general you don't need to take it to heart unless something your spirit is trying to show you from outside. Well first of all the young man said he kept all the laws can you actually believe that? I don't think I'm mixing the scriptures up like I said in past I don't read the Bible I listen to the Holy Spirit and he teaches me something all the time. all I know is all men speak not the truth inckuding myself the only truth that's in me is in me and it's alive and well with resurrection power

What are you saying that I am uncertain about? I cannot be certain that every Baptist pastor or preacher is called by God, because firstly, I don't know every Baptist pastor or teacher, and secondly, some that I have met are obviously not teaching God's word. For example, one Baptist pastor told me, "We never mention sin at my church. It might put people off." Every church of which I have been a member in my 50 plus years as a Christians has had preachers who have sought to preach God's word faithfully.
Isn't it true that every Baptist pastor has to go through a system or process for being appointed, according to the Baptist understanding of Ephesians 4:11? If that is the case, then you don't necessarily need to personally know every Baptist pastor.

  1. Isn't it the case that, once someone has gone through the process of becoming a pastor, you accept that he has been called by God to preach?
  2. Do you believe that if a pastor has received understanding or a miracle from God, and then he preaches something different from the understanding that God has given him, it would be impossible for the Lord not to correct him?

Each local Baptist church is autonomous - there is no central Baptist authority telling each church how to organise itself. Therefore, the process for appointing a pastor will vary from church to church. All the Baptist churches of which I have been a member have sought to apply the biblical principals, such as the qualifications for eldership, and of course a call from God.

Just because someone has qualified according to human criteria doesn’t mean they are called by God. The reverse is also true: just because someone is called by God doesn’t mean they meet human criteria.
Do you believe that if a pastor has received understanding or a miracle from God, and then he preaches something different from the understanding that God has given him, it would be impossible for the Lord not to correct him?
Nothing is impossible for God. Your view is warped because you start with the wrong premises.

Curious are theses the Baptist that say cut your hair and be baptized ?This group doesn't set well in my spirit at all but i did notice they had repsect for the Holy Spirit spoken to them. it was kind of fun, the lower level would do the grunt work and they get to the point well they couldn't reply to what was spoken to them them they go find another higher ranking of their group and it was a chain reaction to get to the highest one and the highest one was respectful even though he couldn't answer the Holy Spirit that's my knowledge I seen myself myself and I left a lot of other stuff out .other than cut hair get baptized .

JOHN 14:12
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
the term greater is speaking of more of the same kind. The body of Christ "the Church" God has done more through them.

How do you apply Ephesians 4:11 to the Baptist churches when, even within the Baptist community itself, there is already a lack of unity in understanding the Word of God?
How can the truth they claim to possess be preached when different versions of the truth are being preached

The truth is that those who are chosen by the Lord are united in their faith and understanding, because the wisdom they possess is a miraculous gift from God.

If any local church (Baptist or any kind of church) is seeking to base all its teaching and practices, including the calling of pastors and other elders, on God's word, then it will seek to appoint pastors and elders on the basis of the qualifications given in the Bible, including Ephesians 4:11 when they appoint a man to be a pastor or elder. The fact that there might be other churches which sadly no longer regard the Bible as authoritative should drive those church that value God's word to pray for those that don't. However, the existence of such unfaithful churches does not affect the biblical basis of faithful churches. What I am trying to say is that the lack of unity among churches over biblical authority does not mean that church which hold firmly to the authority of Scripture cannot apply God's word when they appoint pastors or elders. They can and they must do so.
