Hello everyone,

My husband has been really sick. He has a bad gall bladder and needs surgery. We were in emergency 3 weeks ago because he was in so much pain. They schedule surgery for the 6th, but had to cancel. Long story short, they found he has congestive heart failure. His feet ankles and legs were swollen and he couldn't breathe.

Without going into the long story, please pray that God heals my broken heart for my husband. His swelling is down and his breathing is much better. He will see a Cardiologist at the end of this month to see if he can be cleared for surgery on the gall bladder.

Thanks so much!

That sounds awful and difficult. Dear Lord I ask you that you would touch my sisters husband and bring great healing to his life. I also ask that you would bring peace to your daughter- thank you that you ask us to bring our petitions to you (specific prayers), we do so trusting that you will guard their hearts and their minds in Christ Jesus Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers. They are so precious and encouraging. When life situations such as this happen, it's difficult. It's taxing on the physical body and the emotions. But........I know God is a great God and that we can trust Him through all of this. Thanks for lifting us up.

My trust is in God alone. He says to cast all my cares on Him - so I am. He says to be anxious for nothing. When I am, I seek the Lord and He gives me His peace. Even though I may need to ask Him again in another hour, He is there and I can trust Him. I am in need of comfort and I know He is my Comforter. He's my everything.

So many scriptures and so many songs are coming to mind through all of this. And its during these times when we are our weakest.........and that's when we are strongest because we rely completely in Him.

My scripture that I hang on right now is that God is near to the brokenhearted.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are contrite in spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Psalm 34:18

He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their sorrows.
Psalm 147:3

God bless you all for your prayers! And may God abundantly bless you all!

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and give you support from Zion!
(Ps 20:1-2)

you're in my prayers, dear sister. ♥

please prepare to 'change' both of your 'old-eating-habits', and do the research
of why these types of things occur, especially as we age, out of bad habits, they
will always have a way of catching-up with us,,..

sending prayers and strength for what needs to be done for our Lord's healing to
come to pass...

I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s health condition, friend. My heart ached as I read your post, and I wish I could give you a hug. I know how difficult and painful it must be for you to see your husband go through this. I just said a prayer for him, asking the Lord to touch him with His healing hands and strengthen him. Take comfort in God’s mercy, and remember the words of the apostle James: “The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up...” (James 5:15). May your confidence and trust rest in God as you look to Him in faith. Sending hugs & prayers your way!
