Technically Calvinism isn't a denomination, and usually refers to the adherence to the Canons of Dort, which Calvin, while he may have agreed with, was dead long before they arrived. Calvinism as a belief is largely prevalent in Reformed and Presbyterian circles, and even exists in some degree...

Welcome. Just got back after a ten year hiatus, and this is the first forum I joined. Just recently even.

I'll take it. It just started snowing again, after it started warming up so nice and the sun came out.... Now it's cold again.... And snowing:-|

Oh.... That's how.... Very impressive:-) I remember under one of the earlier chat models for CC the quotation marks were restricted symbols...(still don't know why) so whenever I wrote quotes, I'd have to put up four apostrophes, two on either end.

I was started very early (product of being a Dutch child, maybe?) at nine years old. When I was fourteen, after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and they took my sugar away, I started drinking it black, and boy, after that you become far more picky about your coffee. I can't quite afford...

Also can be translated "prove to me your righteousness in this matter." You and I, brother, have trouble communicating. I will answer your question about the praise music I like. I have always been a fan of both Keith Green and Phil Keaggy. While I don't believe their music is perfect, I have a...

I honestly can't speak to that. I never got into the whole music video scene, and didn't really follow a hip hop crowd. Break dancing was a serious thing in high school, and I appreciated the specific challenge of its form, but as a kind of dancing I never really felt like it blended with the music.

Yeah. I don't have the time to argue, and the guard rails around my pride don't hold up to a lot of stress. So I bow out early when I detect a conversation going in circles.

I enjoy the classical far more that's for certain. I have a certain fondness for tap dancing, however. I'm not certain if that is to my shame or not.

Boy, that brings back memories.... Not the spotting though. I never actually formally learned to dance.... Any kind of dance. Little circles every now and then....

It becomes tiresome when a participant in a conversation forgets his own context. You spoke of exhorting Christians against particular sins, what didn't happen was exhorting Christians against sins they weren't particularly guilty of...

In the absence of evidence (without cause) you have accused these brothers of watching a sinful show (you assume my opinions on it), and make yourself the shining example to follow (because you have not transgressed). I haven't heard you once ask how Christ would have behaved in effect towards...

If you accuse without evidence, it is the same as declaring yourself omniscient. You are not. I need hear nothing else from you.

Paul did not chastise one church for the sins of another. Come to think of it, none of the disciples did that....
