You are not kind nor humble. The works you so proudly speak of are nothing but show. You take insult far too easily, and react to it with far too much pride. Then you wonder why nobody takes you seriously.

Hhhh You laugh because.... You enjoy seeing the condemnation of others? Mind you this is a question, but it's the only conclusion I can draw.

Hmm.... I was gonna pretend to be all indignant, but I don't want to spend the entire day backing out of something I never really meant in the first place because nobody saw the humor in it.:-|

I should also like to add that actively hunting for sinners is not what's called for here either. The church would have no members if that were the case. The last thing the church needs is a self appointed pointer...

Let me see if I can clarify some things for you, having been under discipline myself, even to excommunication, and having returned in repentance. There is a difference between discernment and judgment. I mean no offence by this, but persons who "judged" me by my refusal to follow God's law...

I have a very bad habit of getting worked up online. I get irritated, I miss things, I overreact. I'm certain we can all say the same. I'm just glad that there are those who, while maybe not making the same level of mistakes, are understanding and forgiving.

It reads like an internet gamer trash talking his opponents. Right or wrong, his certainly isn't the behavior of a Christian. Thank you for your advocacy on our brother' behalf.

I'm saying my best works are filthy rags. I'm saying that the thief on the cross didn't sneak into heaven to be with Christ. I'm saying that whatever works I accomplish, however much I love doing them, are worthless when I approach my God in heaven, and I have only one hope, that is the work of...

The evidentiary works in this life are essentially the weak ambulations of men barely back from the (spiritually) dead, and even those are blessings from the Holy Spirit, which we alone would not even be capable of. What those you have sided with are calling for are the Olympic level feats only...

You really expect me to believe you're going to present your own righteousness to God and get in on those laurels? 😂

as odd as this may seem, I had a Methodist friend who pointed out Paul's admonishment for claiming the teachings of one specific teacher in 1 Corinthians 3. I am the follower of Christ. I can of course point to creeds, but what other Christians need to know is that I am a brother and ally.

Oh, I appreciate that, will look it up. I am trying to re-establish my biblical references, within my memory. I had a falling away fifteen years ago, and some of my biblical knowledge went with it. God has been merciful to me, and while I can't say the road's been easy, I certainly have far...

If I'm going to respond, I want to do so with careful consideration. Also, I know the verse, but I can't remember where it is. I will look it up, but maybe you can speed up the process?

I try not to use the word "Calvinist" either, but sometimes I do. I usually just say "I was raised reformed, and still hold to those beliefs." And to be honest I can't always answer every question that comes my way.
