    Salvation

I guess I think it might be true and I want to read other people's opinions.

    Salvation

Would you say it's correct to say that Jesus took the wrath of God for us? (I might have asked you this question in another thread)

    Salvation

Can you articulate, with Scripture, why John Piper is not correct in what he is saying there? (I would like to know whether or not Jesus took the wrath of God for us, which is what John Piper is saying there, if I am correct about that)

Are you saying that Jesus did not take the wrath of God for us?

    Salvation

But God is wrathful with those who die unsaved, isn't He? Was the wrath that would be directed at us if we were to die unsaved, directed at Jesus? (please anyone correct my thinking here if what I'm saying needs correcting) If Jesus took the wrath of God for us, did God direct it at Jesus...

    Salvation

Is it correct to say that Jesus "paid" for our sins? If He did, how did He do so? How is someone saved and what is the significance of Jesus' death on the cross when it comes to how we are saved? Are we saved through faith in Jesus' shed blood? Is it through faith that Jesus' shed blood covers...

    Is this statement wholly correct?

Jesus paid for our sins by dying on the cross. By wholly correct I mean nothing needs to be added to it.

Is Jesus dying for our sins synonymous with Jesus taking the punishment for our sins?

Some of the answers might be more accurate (still thank you to everyone who answered, I might be having trouble because of bad reading comprehension).

Is Jesus dying for our sins synonymous with Jesus taking the punishment for our sins?

So Jesus took the punishment for our sins? (I'm still having trouble with this, maybe due to OCD/mental illness/something intellectual/having trouble with the answers because of how I worded the question)

Question about Jesus being the Son of God

Jesus being the Son of God means He is the second Person of the Trinity and the Son of God the Father (the first Person of the Trinity), correct? It doesn't mean He is the Son of God in the sense that He is the Son of the three Persons of the Trinity, right? I guess I just get a little mixed up...

How does Jesus' death atone for our sins?

Would anyone like to break this down and really explain it? (Might not have used "atone for our sins" right because I guess maybe faith is also needed for our sins to be atoned for.)

Things that need to be believed for salvation

I might have written this a little disingenuously because you seem to have changed the question a bit.

Things that need to be believed for salvation

Is this the same question you asked before?

Things that need to be believed for salvation

Just correcting this for clarity. Might be bad or incorrect grammar.

Things that need to be believed for salvation

I guess he believed Jesus was who He was(?), because he said, "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." (quoted KJV because of copyright)

Things that need to be believed for salvation

Is salvation as simple as believing Jesus paid for your sins, that He's the Son of God, God Himself (the second Person of the Trinity), that He rose from the dead on the third day, and that He is Lord? Is there anything else someone needs to believe that anyone would include with these things?
