What is the point in being a prophet?

You're trying to twist things. You took it out of context. 2 issues. He said he was a Christian. 1st issue. I listed the requirements for becoming a Christian and asked "is this what you've done? If not, you've not been saved." READ IT AGAIN I then went on to the second issue "and if...

What is the point in being a prophet?

I didn't say nor do the scriptures say what you're asserting. Your 1st 2. Above. If you were a Christian and got divorced for an unscripturally supported reason, and there is just the one, infidelity, you're still a Christian. If you engage in relations afterwards/get remarried you're STILL a...

What is the point in being a prophet?

I'm aware of the 2 little letters which is why they were inserted to begin with; for clarity

What is the point in being a prophet?

Once again, you're confusing the two things. Manifestation of the Spirit means those outward miraculous things such as healings, tongues, miracles, prophesy, etc. The Spirit dwells in us upon baptism with no outward, noticeable signs. Our sins are forgiven, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost...

What is the point in being a prophet?

You're not understanding quite correctly. Per Acts 2:38, all believers who are baptized receive the GIFT (singular), not gifts (plural) of the Holy Ghost. Per this scripture, we all who were baptized into Christ receive the Spirit itself, the indwelling if it.

What is the point in being a prophet?

All the miraculous manifestations of the Spirit, the gifts as noted in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, were so manifested y the laying on of the apostle's hands, and when they died and as well as those that had received the "gifts" thru them, they then ceased to exist.

What is the point in being a prophet?

Read the scriptures closer. If for an unscriptural reason, namely for infidelity, you cause each other to be adulterous if remarried or if engaged in subsequent sexual relations, and adultery is a sin.

    Baptism, the simple version.

Jesus addressed/answered this when he asked a rhetorical question of the chief priests and scribes in Luke 20:4 4The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

What is the point in being a prophet?

I hope your divorce was scriptural, if not, it has an effect on your salvation, and a negative one. Salvation requires 1. Belief and faith 2. Confession of belief 3. Repentance 4. Baptism, immersion in water. Is this what you've done? If not, you've not been saved. And if divorced...

    Baptism, the simple version.

Also, by baptism, there's nothing that ever infers or suggests that it's the baptizer that is forgiving or remitting sins by the act of their baptizing someone, rather it's the Lord thar is the one through baptism into him. John 20;23 is totally in inconsistent with the principles if baptism for...

Where does Scripture teach that all three indwells us?

It's a moot point. It's all God, the Godhead. The indwelling is via the Spirit. When you're baptized you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). That's how God is indwelling in you by the Spirit being in you.

You must be reading the bible upside-down and backwards.

    Apostles

There WERE only those listed in the bible and none today. The 12, then Mathias added to replace Judas, and then Saul (Paul) called by the Lord. That's it. No more.

There is no point in it because THERE ARE NO PROPHETS TODAY!

    Romans 10:13

The scriptures CLEARLY teach that you're absolutely not saved 1st. Not possible.. 1. Belief and faith 2. Confession of your belief 4. Repentance 4. Baptism You do the above and THEN you'll be saved. Not before and not by doing anything else

Did I blaspheme against the Holy Ghost?

No. See below scripture which defines blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. The unforgivable sin answer is in verse 30 of Mark 3 as relates to verse 22, insinuating that Jesus is in fact aligned with the devil or Beelzebub and his spirit is unclean. Mark 3:22-30 22And the scribes which came...

    Romans 10:13

Absolutely not. And you can't take just obe scripture and run with it as though it said all there is to say on the subject. There are other scriptures that provide more information on what is required to be saved. When you look at ALL pertinent scriptures, you wind up with the following; 1...
