Well if you look at Revelation 3:17.. they are characterised by saying they are 'rich, increased with goods, needing nothing' .. but Jesus shows them to be 'wretched, miserable, poor, blind, naked'
So what the specific beliefs are isn't in there.
The Loadicean church is a type representing any luke-warm church. Neither hot nor cold.
The age we live in now is like this for churches.
Churches that are materialistic, have watered down the gospel, but still believe in some sense.
So Jesus standing at the door..
Jesus is prompting...
In Revelation 3:20 Jesus says 'I Stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.' KJV
Now this verse often gets used in talking about receiving eternal life.
It is one of those verses though that has...
I see it this way...
At eternal salvation.. someone joins the Family of God
After baptism by full immersion.. they can then be admitted to join a local church.. the local body of Christ.
So it is not necessary to perform any ritual to be eternally saved.
To get real clarity here, is the body of Christ every believer.. or representing the unit of the local church?
Where is the big 'C' church in scripture?
Luke 24:44:
These are the words spoken of me that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of moses, and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning me.
From looking at what some have written about the big bang, I see that God doesn't need this kind of process to bring about the universe.
I do imagine though.. God creating in 6 days.. the initial first event could have looked like an explosion or light and energy. That's where I can see a...
The other day a kid about 8 years old asked me what I thought of the big bang.
All I know is the planets are travelling in a way that shows they came from an initial point. A beginning event.
I used to think the big bang was not biblical.. but now in think if you look at Genesis in God...
I fully believe in the one triune God..
Father is God, Holy Spirit is God, Jesus is God.. co-equal, co-eternal.
I just find it hard to get my head around the term 'persons'.. because like you say.. I am thinking of the material realm. So persons, becomes 'seperate beings'..
So I think it is...
What is in Romans 10, among other verses I believe does show something akin to the sinners prayer.
Praying or talking to God that you do believe He is God.. did live a sinless life.. did die and rise again according to the scriptures. That He can forgive sin and give eternal life.. I believe...
In looking at the trinity, I have seen a lot of diagrams that have the Holy Spirit, Father and Son all being God..
..but that the Holy Spirit is not the Father, the Son is not either.. the Father is not either..
So the question I have is how is God one being .. but then each person of God not...
Yes I believe they would still be saved if they were born again. I just used to notice believers turning their backs that I didn't know personally.. but now it's right in the 'back yard ' so to speak, so its harder to understand
I'm starting to notice a lot of believers .. some I know well.. are turning their backs on God.
I'm guessing its because the Christian path is getting narrower and narrower compared to the worlds philosophies.
Many of the Christians I know were quite strong believers but have gone away from...
Key things
..knowledge
..a measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
..having reached. No longer tossed to and fro by every word of doctrine
.. at a future time starting from the time of the ephesian church
If it was the second coming of Christ..then there would be no need for...
There is also resolving conflicts biblically which epukd lead to living at peace with each other. Matthew 18 shows this process..
In the case of a church group...
1 bring the matter to the person sinning one to one
2 if they won't hear... bring one or two extra to witness
3 if they still...
