Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

Former Jews and Greeks, yes, but not anymore. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Do you believe the letter of James is written to the 144,000?

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

The Revelation passage is a reference to the 144,000 Jewish male virgins who will be servants during the tribulation. This is not the body of Christ. Yes, the Jews were begotten by God through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. These are not part of the body of Christ. James 1:18 Of his own will...

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

Please post another passage where the term "twelve tribes" is a reference to Christian Jews. I'll wait.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

Yes, your physical distinctions are done away with in Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

We are all one in Christ, no more distinctions. To address the twelve tribes as part of the body of Christ would be counterproductive to the body.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

There are no Jews in the body of Christ. At least part of the audience had not received the word and their souls were not saved. 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

The term "twelve tribes" is never ever a reference to Christians or even Jewish Christians. It is always a reference to the nation of Israel as a whole. Context matters. Audience matters. James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered...

Totally agree, I'm just stating that's what some claim.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

According to the same passage, clothing or feeding one in need. 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it...

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

To which tribe do you belong? Audience matters when determining doctrine. Romans was written to the body of Christ, not to the twelve tribes. 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

Scripture also states: 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. I hope you're making an ark of gopher wood...

To the twelve tribes scattered abroad...to which of the twelve tribes do you belong?

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Are you claiming they were regenerated and born again without the Holy Spirit?

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Yes, but they had believed on Jesus Christ before receiving the Holy Spirit.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Didn’t mean to imply that brother. I just meant to say the book of Jonah is pretty straight forward. God didn’t lie, he repented. He changed his mind when Nineveh believed.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Not when you went outside the book of Jonah to explain away the clear and simple reading. I’m not willing to change the words to fit a certain narrative. I’d rather change the narrative to fit the words of scripture.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Not one Calvinist has ever been able to explain Jonah. 1. God told Jonah to preach a message of destruction, “yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” 2. Nineveh believed the message and repented. 3. God saw their repentance and he repented of the destruction that he said he would do...
