    Predestination is misunderstood...

Exactly! One must be saved in order to be predestined unto the adoption. Once a man believes the gospel and is saved, the Holy Spirit seals that believer unto the future adoption which is the redemption of the body. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Here's what the holy bible states about predestination. Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Paul is speaking to believers, the body of Christ. Paul is telling them that they have been...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

These “about twelve” believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet, did not have the Holy Spirit when they believed. They received the Holy Spirit later when Paul laid his hands on them. Acts 19 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Only problem with that is that the word "elect" is not found in the passage. I am a bible believer. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

    Predestination is misunderstood...

Carnal minds are against God. And yet, those Corinthian believers were carnal. Why? Because they were babes in Christ and were living in a manner in which were stunting their growth. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

How? The Lord knew their hearts that they would not come to him. It does not say, "can't come to me." 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

    SPEAKING TONGUES

Unknown is part of scripture. It simply means that the language is not known to the audience. The KJV is always correct.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Agreed, the Greek philosophy of fatalism, aka Calvinism, has made its way into the church convincing people they are part of some elect group. They are blind to the truth of scripture.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

There are no election verses unto salvation. Most are to service. The first mention principle helps us with this. Jesus is God's elect servant. Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

The problem is what time frame to put this in. Although many want to put its fulfillment around 70 A.D. there are problems: 1. Nation didn't rise against nation, Rome was in control. 2. Nor were there any pestilence and earthquakes, however there has been a slow buildup of these things the past...
