    Are Roman Catholics Christians

Oh, oh! I see! Sorry for the confusion. It struck me as odd because I'd thought: didn't he earlier give the impression that he wasn't glued to any denomination...?? :)

    The Heresy of Annihilationism

I've agreed with a lot you've had to say. You've even helped me some in my understanding in places (but then so have those who I've not agreed with anything on, strange as that sounds. :)) I do however still feel there is some pretty strong support for a change regarding this sleep thing after...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

oh, I had thought you were telling me to come to the catholic church to be taught and get answers. My mistake. :)

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

No thanks. I already have seen some men and women leave in utter confusion. Then again, I've seen another church confuse them too, because they come out with the tendency to want men to answer their every question instead of waiting on God.

    The Heresy of Annihilationism

Everything on that list is complete opposites...it's a good list. sickness is the absence/opposite of health. despair is the absence of hope. Evil is the opposite or absence of good. darkness is the absence of light. Death is the absence of life. The first one on your list is the only one that...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

I agree with what you have said, especially the first part of your sentence...sort of. Some doctrine is important. It's crucial. But a complete theological scaffolding tends to do something odd. It either becomes too...lenient, or it becomes too merciless. There are always verses and then...

Help - My husband thinks me and my family are "wacky-bo-bo".

This does not sound like any kind of mental or emotional abuse to me. He sounds like he was being very reasonable and accepting of you and took the boys outside because your nerves had had enough. I'm not sure why you brought his jealousy and insecurity from his first marriage into this...

    The Heresy of Annihilationism

He had sin in His presence when He went and sought out adam and eve after what they'd done...and that was before any blood covered them. And when the sons of God went and presented themselves before God, satan also went with them, and he actually had conversation with God... Not to argue, but...

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

But this is all just speculation, or what some men have taught you, unless you have some verses (preferably three). We were told to beware the leaven of men. From your first post you admitted something astounding. You said that even though you could not find any verses for a lot of what these...

And also she called God her savior. A sinless woman wouldn't need a savior. Luke 1:47

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

Can I have a verse for that? I don't accept things that can't be proven or at least strongly inferred from scriptures. And in fact, when you made the statement, the verse that popped to mind was Jesus saying John the Baptist was the greatest as far as those born.

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

(y)(y)(y) There is a lot of foolishness in this statement. The swearing/betting/staking of your salvation is foolish and let your answer just be yes or no. Also, it is foolish to stake the dearest thing you have on a statement that you can't possibly know is true or not.

    Obedience, Oh No!

Not that our brothers really ARE our enemy...we just decide they are because their view of some scripture angers us...

    Obedience, Oh No!

And now I feel like I upset ralph too much. And I feel bad. But we really have to start calling each other on our crap in here. And from even our own "side" we need to do it. But it's kind of difficult when it's become the norm to talk to each other in a bad way. You know, there was a guy...

    Obedience, Oh No!

You showed him no mercy with that post. And in your next post, you said no one can know who is saved. Yet we know that the immoral, revilers, swindlers, idolatrous, covetous are going to hell. And you used that verse to describe him. You need to look into this all.
  16. S

    Obedience, Oh No!

Yes, you did judge him to be not a brother and worthy of hell with th e verse, saying he was immoral, idolatrous, covetous, a swindler and reviler. The parable of the Samaritan was a bit shocking for them to hear because they believed Samaritans were quite awful.
  17. S

    Obedience, Oh No!

It's in the NT. Jesus, when asked by a man, and who is my brother, tells about a Samaritan man who was badly beaten and lay dying. I've never heard of going to the law to understand one of Jesus' parables... And what does him being nice to me or not nice to me have to do with it?

Some here will see the Son of Man coming

Tanakh makes the most sense to me. Give me my "I voted" sticker. :D
  19. S

    Obedience, Oh No!

Okay ralph, when you get like this I just have to leave. And by the way, the parable of the samaritan doesn't involve a donkey in a ditch to the best of my recollection. And if you are going to go back to the law to argue against the parable, you've gone the wrong way.

    What do I do???!!!

Actually...the spirit of those words, believe it or not, does apply to men - and the childbearing is to help make children for God, so that a man bears God children of the Kingdom too by planting the seed he has been given (the gospel), and is their spiritual father. The spirit of the word goes...
