    The warning was a threat. The conequences was hell for mankind for which the majority plunge headlong. A threat by no other name. To believe is to obey. Adam didn't BELIEVE ENOUGH to heed the warning/threat/commandment. To believe is to obey because obedience is the fruit of belief.
