Time for Christians to abandon KFC?

For the record, I don't eat KFC anyway, because they use seed oil (toxic) in the fryers. I will only eat deep-fried food if the restaurant uses tallow... and very few do at this point.

Time for Christians to abandon KFC?

The linked advertisement is just weird. It encompasses idolatry, human sacrifice, and hints at cannibalism, while appearing to mock Christian baptism. What is clear is that it has almost nothing to do with fried chicken. BELIEVE PART 2 : ALL HAIL GRAVY I would encourage any Christians who...

Audio Bible vs. Reading the Bible

Both are commended in Scripture. Jesus says to the Pharisees, “Have you not read the Scriptures?” Also, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of God”. Neither is recommended above the other. :)

    God, the word, and hunting.

The prohibition on eating meat from strangled animals is in the Law, and is related to the prohibition against eating blood. I would still recommend that you take a hunter safety course so you know the relevant laws in your state.

    God, the word, and hunting.

Hunting for sustenance has nothing to do with demons unless you invoke them. God provided animals for food for other animals; there is no moral restriction against it. Just don’t be greedy or wasteful. If the laws where you live prohibit hunting, or you personally are forbidden for some reason...

    Climate Change and the Lord

I think you have been blindly trusting the mainstream media instead of thinking for yourself and searching for truth.

This thread is not about blatantly obvious pollution.

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

He was banned after writing that.

GRACE VS LAW OR GRACE WITH LAW ?

I have a couple of questions for you, and I would appreciate it if you could give straightforward simple answers of no more than two lines each: From what are we saved? To what are we saved?

GRACE VS LAW OR GRACE WITH LAW ?

You talk… and reason… in circles. Your “salvation” is meaningless.

Is it enough to just believe in Jesus?

To "believe on His name" is to believe that He is God, Lord, and Saviour through His atoning death on the cross. While we don't start out our Christian walk understanding all this, we should eventually get there. God in His grace holds us redeemed prior to our full understanding while He teaches...

GRACE VS LAW OR GRACE WITH LAW ?

The Law is what was given through Moses. It's role in salvation is to convict us of our sinfulness and need of a Saviour. "Works" in this context are the result of faith in Christ. Because we believe, we act.

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

I see we have another heretic in our midst.

GRACE VS LAW OR GRACE WITH LAW ?

Scripture is reasonably clear on the subject, but human nature prefers the self-exaltation of pretending to follow the law. Christ is the end of the law for those who believe (Romans 10:4).

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

But it isn't, so you end up misunderstanding the other verses that mention angels.

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

Go with the principle of interpreting what is unclear from what is clear. ;)

    PLAIN SPEECH (UNRELATED TO QUAKERISM)

I'd refrain from answering... if there were a question. ;) There is no place in Scripture teaching a young person to "speak only when spoken to", so you can dismiss that as an outdated dinosaur from a "classist" culture. Scripture does instruct younger people to treat older people with respect...

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

I understand that, but a reasonable conclusion should not be equated to an unequivocal scriptural statement. ;)

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

Such a view would have to account for *every* account of angels in Scripture. It fails for the angels who appeared to Zechariah, to Mary, to Joseph, to Rhoda, and to Paul. :)

How do angels jibe with the Holy Spirit?

    Where is that in Scripture?
