    The Security Of The Believer

I do not know which Arminians you have in mind but I, as an Arminian am not eccentric and I don't have a casual approach to Jesus. I believe you need to read up Arminian authors and get your information first hand rather that the straw men invented by Calvinists.

    Is sanctification frequently misunderstood?

There is a great need for the truth of sanctification or holiness to be preached from our pulpits. The spiritual life of the average church goer is such that you have to backslide to have fellowship with them. The writer to the Hebrews made it very plain, 'without holiness, no one will see the...

    Enduring to the end.

Salvation is conditioned on faith in Christ. Not just when we were first converted but a faith that is continuous over a life time. That is what is meant by," He who endures to the end shall be saved".

    Is sanctification frequently misunderstood?

Once saved always saved (OSAS) debunked

Bob, I think you do Arminian theologians a disservice. Most I know believe that one loses their salvation after a protracted period of time rejecting the Christian Faith, not over a once only sin. Robert Shank's book 'Life In The Son" is a real jewel.

For the Christian, when does God forgive sins?

I would say that they are covered by the grace of God. One does not fall from grace over one sin but rather a deliberate rejection of one's Christian faith.

For the Christian, when does God forgive sins?

As an Arminian, I would go with 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I guess that makes me fall into number 2 category.

Once saved always saved (OSAS) debunked

The 'keeping' is conditioned on faith. If a christian stops believing and turns from Christ, there is no more 'keeping', they are lost (Heb 6).
