Why would the names of "Saints" that lined in the time after the NT was written have their names recorded in the Bible? That seems like a weak argument to me. I'm not defending praying to Saints, but that argument is empty to a Catholic.

That's a good point. So, we had it, but then lost it. Frankly, I'm not as concerned with the disagreements between denominations as some are. I think there are valid reasons for the splits. Even Paul and Barnabas went different ways at one point. (or was that Silas?)

I agree in principle. The "what to do..." is about the practical component. Who decides what the truth of God's Word is? The Catholic Church is happy to answer that question for us. And in fact we have already decided. Unfortunately the decisions don't agree.

Veneration does not necessarily mean worship. Usually just great respect. I think we venerate the Apostle Paul. And certainly the Patriarchs. Abraham, Moses, etc. Hebrews eleven is all about venerating those key figures in the Faith. Nothing particularly wrong with that. IMHO
