    Sharia Law in the USA

Hello - I would like to see the perspectives especially from Arabs on this topic. It would be great to hear from those who have a good understanding of the Muslim faith. Many in the USA are claiming that Muslims who live in the US are actively working towards getting Sharia Law worked into the...

Why Switchfood won't sing Christian songs.

Have you heard of the band Switchfoot? I hadn't until I ran across this blog from Christ the King Community Church in Bellingham, WA. The band members are Christians but they don't feel compelled to sing Christian songs. This link takes you to a blog posting that explains why. Why Switchfoot...

    Christian giving (cha-ching$$)

I think God thinks it is acceptable to give the bulk of your financial support for a particular year to other Christian endeavors instead of the church you are attending. Examples of other Christian endeavors might be missionaries that you know and trust, Athletes in Action, providing...

    Bible Apps

If you use a Bible App, which one do you use and why do you like it. And -- is it free? I use GloBible. I think it is distributed by Willow Creek (from the Chicago area.) It was free to me and I like it, but I don;t know what else is out there. Glo Bible only uses the KJV and NIV.

Is it OK to tell God...

...that you are kinda ticked? That you feel you are doing are doing your best and still.... Please don;t say that I must not be doing what God wants me to do, that I am not listening to him - that is not the point of this question. The question is whether God wants to hear that we are not...

    Nelson Mandela

I don;t know if Mandela was a Christian, but he did so much to move South Africa to a better place. I am sure there were so many times when he was close to death. I think God probably kept him alive during those dark days so he could have such a positive impact on the world later in life. He...

    December....

December is the most difficult time of year for me. I am single, have no children, live a 1000 miles away from my family (which is very small) and I don;t have any friends who are in the same boat that I am in. My brother and I aren't really welcome at my sister's house - her husband is the...

    I wish...

...that peace loving Arabs (this includes Muslims, Jews and obviously Arab Christians) would help communicate that not ALL Arabs (and Muslims) hate the US, want to hurt us and want to change our government to have a more Muslim focus. I mean who better than someone who looks like an Arab to...

    Chuck Smith has died. :(

Chuck Smith, founder of the large non-denominational network of Bible based churches known as Calvary Chapels has died. He was an incredible Christian and leader. Some credit him as the father of the non-denominational movement. Calvary Chapel, founded in Costa Mesa, California in 1965, has...

    The Duggers

I catch this reality show every so often and discovered their oldest son and his family have moved to DC. They have a very nice house that is probably worth $500,000. (Just a guess.) Whatever the cost of the house is, it is much more than a young man like him can usually afford. This young...

    Politics in your church (USA)

Do you think it is proper for a church in the US to discuss political issues and candidates? Is it proper for churches and/or pastors to recommend a candidate or positions on issues? What about the legal requirements regarding being non-profit and not paying certain taxes if a church does...

Can a Christian be GOPPER or a DEM?

I have been thinking about the generalization that Christians are Republicans (are more conservative and adhere to the ideology of the Right) and Democrats (more liberal as Americans define liberal, more socially (NOT socialism) focused) are not. So here is the question: Do you think God wants...

    singles ministry at church

Does your church have an adult singles ministry? If no, would you participate if there was one? If yes, what is your program like? Mine doesn't. Adult (over say 30ish) single ministries are difficult to manage. Church should be a place to find God and/or nurture your relationship with God...

women as church leaders and teachers

Hi. Here are a couple of questions. You can answer one or all. While I cannot prevent you from doing so, I do ask you keep your answers fairly short..not going on and on and on...... Would you (or do you currently) attend a church that has women as a pastor, even as an assistant pastor...

Any takers? If you have accepted the challenge, did it change you? Did you miss listening to other radio or music?
