Maybe my post count has to be a certain #? Anybody have some extras laying around they're not using?
There is a chance the stability of the forum is deteriorating. For several months, more and more people have been losing different features they once had.

At least some of the issues are with Chrome, not the forum. Chrome's latest version has created problems with v-Bulletin that non Chrome users don't have.

I think you have to reach 100 posts before you can PM. Of course, I could be remembering incorrectly.
I wish that were true. I have been repeatedly PMed by those who have never done a single post. It is a little unnerving.

You can do no better than follow this link. It's obviously dated, but it explains better than any document out there the doctrinal distinctives which separated the Baptist denomination from the others of the day.

Since then, there have been some drastic changes. Particularly here in the good ol' US of A. But lately there has been a return to the doctrines of 1689 within our largest Baptist denomination, the SBC. The document has a renewed relevance to the chagrin of some Baptist stalwarts who dug into what we would characterize as standard Evangelical (difficult word) beliefs.

Enjoy!

Desdichado, do you have a link on basic Baptist information such as their beliefs and doctrine etc? Thank you brother.

It's from Monty Python. Their take on a silly tavern/folk song.

Funny because the scene took place in a courtroom.

SovereignGrace would be of more help than me in all likelihood. We're both more Reformed, but he's a Baptist and I am but a lowly Presbyterian/homeless Congregationalist.

I would tell you to PM him, but that appears to be off the table right now. :p

Just don't let SovereignGrace talk you into thinking Presbyterians delight in waterboarding small children. That's just slanderous hyperbole.

Everybody knows children fare better than adults when forced underwater. And most rivers are dirty cesspools. They're the cruel ones, I say!

Baptists...

For all you child dunkers, baby waterboarders, you 'terians (just a version of 'Tyrant' btw) who practice a slow version of Chinese water torture on babies, beware: John MacArthur is said to be coming out with a new book. Following the example of 'Strange Fire' which nailed the travesty of WoF Chars Ma Ticks, he's now writing 'Strange Water' to expose the dark side of dunking kids. Ya'll 'terians are about to get exposed!

:D  :p

I am trying to insert a meme, but when I try to, the properties come up with blue letters and numbers. Why does it do this?

I use FF and the other day i lost the option to PM people, temporarily. It came back on it's own later. I did nothing to cause it or fix it.

I fixed it, you're doing it wrong
What was I doing wrong? I always pasted the URL and wrap 'IMG' & '/IMG' around it and the image works fine on other sites. I put [ ] around 'IMG' & '/IMG', too.
