perhaps it wasnt clear in my mind that you were completely aware of the evils of islam and I am relieved that you are so I am very happy that you have done this thread so others can be clear in their minds too

I forget the official name he gave those newer writings

The Quran includes many abrogated verses, called mansukh, and abrogating verses, nasikh; the latter cancel the former, rendering them invalid, though they nevertheless remain in the Quran and are deceptively quoted, for Western consumption, as though they still represented genuine Islamic beliefs. Nasikh and mansukh are legion: Of the Quran's 114 suras (chapters), only 43 are without abrogated or abrogating verses.

Islam, unlike Judaism and Christianity, received its revelation from a single person within a short period of time, roughly twenty years, Mohammed was nonetheless able to impose upon his followers the implausible belief that the inerrant Muslim God had routinely changed his mind.

Carolineh is a fear spreader like moment of faith tried to be. I wouldnt put much weight in her posts.

Bearing witness of the truth is not being a fear spreader. And I applaud carolineh!

But accusing those of being a fear spreader and speaking the truth is not a good position to be in.

Did anyone ever hear about the "Stoning" of Christians in Dearborne MI? They had rocks thrown at them for passing out Christian literature at a Muslim Festival.

Some say the Christians provoked it, but I dont agree. If it were the other way around it would be a hate crime. Definitely does not help Muslims look peaceful.

here is the link to the vid:
American Muslims Stone Christians in Dearborn, MI (Original edit) - YouTube

Yes there was a thread about it a while back. And it showed just how much Christians were divided on the issue. Maybe someone who has a lot more expertise on this site can bring a link to it for you.

The christians were more in your face than just handing out pamphlets, though I disagree with promoting one religion at another religions festival out of sheer courtesy, which the above christians clearly lacked.

Kind of a lukewarm attitude don't you think. Don't recall any scripture that says when and when not to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

yea I see what your saying, of course I cant help to think what if it were the other way around, it Muslims were doing that at a Christian gathering, and the Christians did the same. I wonder if it would have been handled the same by the authorities. Of course I can only speculate.

I dont think we should be rude about spreading the gospel, and I dont think the people teaching Christianity were rude, or lacked courtesy. When Paul preached the gospel, he often went into Jewish synagogues to teach them. I think it's takes courage to do what they did, and I think they handled it well. They never cursed back, nor retaliated. I think it was a good example.

The tide is beginning to turn in this country and the more the Muslim population grows the sooner we might find ourselves under Sharia Law.

If we take a look at other countries we see what happens to our brethern who stand for the truth by those who follow the teachings of The False Prophet Mohammad.

If it were the other way around do you honestly think that those who follow Jesus Christ would do the same?

The persecution of the true saints in this country is on the horizon.

I agree 100%

Its scary the way were headed.

And no I dont think true Christians would do the same. But I feel if they did, they would be arrested, unlike the Muslims in that video.

I wouldn't stand on a street corner and slander Mohammed or any other person. I will answer when asked about a prophet who does not tell the truth... It's up to God to determine where He puts me to answer.

You don't have to go out of your way to offend, but a quiet answer when asked is called "testimony". Testimony is given in a court of law, under oath, in the presence of a judge and jury as to the truth. If you lie in a court or "change your testimony", you are guilty of an offense. So, when called to testify, you must testify and answer the questions posed.

If someone asked me "Is Mohammed the Prophet of God" I would say "The Bible teaches me that he is not, but also that all those who would call themselves prophets must be judged by the rules given in His book. Based on those rules, I would say he is not"

Amen Brother!
And if we as believers are arrested then that is when we should give Glory to God for being counted worthy.
For scripture says, 2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Is it slander to bear witness to the truth?

slander- The uttering of false and malicious statements that damage the reputation or well being of another.

It can be proved that Mohammad was a murder, thief, a child molester, among other things. And those of us who follow Christ know that Mohammad's teachings are leading alot of people to destruction.
That doesn't sound like slander to me.

Actually the Koran does not promote violence to those who aren't Muslim.

It’s been quite some time since I read the Quran, but if memory serves me correctly there are over 100 verses in the Quran promoting violence against those who refuse to submit to Islam. Allow me to post a few and we’ll let people decide for themselves if the Quran promotes violence.

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even of they are_ of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued,

Sura 8:12 ....instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliebers: smite ye above their necks….

The Koran does say that they are to be peaceful, unless the enemy reacts first, and the Koran does say everyone is free to believe how they want and worship how they want AS LONG AS they agree live under Islamic rule.(abiding by their laws)

Mohammed's early more peaceful recitations from back when he lived in Mecca such as "no compulsion in religion", are inconsistent with his later calls for his followers to "fight", "strike terror into the hearts of", and "smite the unbelievers at the neck", of his post-Medina days. For this reason Islamic scholars understand Mohammed's "revelations" to be a linear progression with later revelations displacing earlier ones. Particularly since Mohammed declared it himself in answer to the critics of his day that pointed out his self-contradiction.

Surah 16:101 When we substitute one revelation for another, and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages), they say. “thou art but a forger: but most of them understand not.

Thus the later "stages" of his "revelations" "substitute" for his earlier revelations, when discrepancies arise.

(Yusuf Ali) Quran 2:106 None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but we substitute something better or similar” Kniwest thou noy yhay Allah Hath power over all things?

Asad's translation is perhaps more clear.

Sura 2:106 (Asad) Any message which, We abbul ir consign to oblivion We replace with a better or a similar one, Does thou not know that God has the power to will anything?

Al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh is the Islamic doctrine of abrogation, and title of the classic book by an Islamic scholar - Abil-Kasim Hibat-Allah Ibn-Salama Abi-Nasr - that details abrogated verses, and what they have been abrogated by. Google the term "naskh" for more.

By way of comparison the revelation of YHWH to mankind spans a period of 16 centuries from Moses to the Messiah and His Apostles. Over those 1600 years mankind progressed from being desert dwelling nomads, to establishing advanced nations with religious laws of the Sanhedrin, as well as the civil law of kings and emperors. In fact the first mechanical computer - the antikythera mechanism - was built a century or two before the Christian era. YHWH revealed Himself to His people through a progression of prophets and witnesses as mankind developed.

However the Qur'an's 71 suras that are subject to abrogation out of only 114 total, recited over the brief 23 year span of a single person's "revelations", doesn't suggest divine inspiration as much as the changing whims of it's author.

To quote Don Richardson from "Secrets of the Koran"
"By Mohammed's day, 1,500 years had passed since any Hebrew prophet was described in the Old Testament as using a sword in the service of God. Neither Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Micah, Amos, Malachi nor any other later Hebrew prophet is described as using the sword or prescribing its use."

The 1600 year record of YHWH culminated in the revelation of the Messiah, the Prince of Peace, the sinless Lamb of God, while Mohammed's revelations progressed in the exact opposite direction from peaceful to violent.

Mohammed was barely able to win a hundred converts during the first 13 years of his more peaceful recitations in Mecca. Then Mohammed and his followers left Mecca for Medina in 622 AD - known as the Hijra - where he enlisted a couple local bandit tribes, picked up the sword and began the spread of Islam through imperialistic conquest and subjugation of the vanquished to his religion. The Islamic calendar doesn't even begin until this Hijra flip from peaceful to violent.

Thus the sura from Mohammed's early Mecca days ....

Sura 2:256 Let there be no compulsion in Religion….

... is abrogated by about a hundred verses that suggest violence against non-Muslims as the "better" "substitute" from his later post-Hijra days like ....

Sura 8:12 I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them,

And

Surah 9.29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even of they are_ of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued,

The word "Jizya" means penalty, and is a tax levied on those attacked and vanquished, so their new masters can parasitize the fruit of their labor. It is a "protection" tax that works the way the Mafia sells "protection" to restaurant, bar owners and shop keepers, to protect them from ....... the Mafia. Non-muslims were to feel enslaved, and as they paid the tax to their Islamic masters they were subject to being slapped across the face, to further humiliate them and reinforce the nature of the relationship. Those that submitted to Mohammed's religion were not subject to the Jizya tax, just like young people in the U.S. that convert to Islam will not be forced to buy health insurance under obamacare. Please Google - obamacare dhimmitude - or visit the subject in our forum to understand more about how dhimmitude works.

Mohammed even recited a contradiction that contradicts his tacit admissions of contradiction.

Sura 4.82 Do they not consider the Quran (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found discrepancy.

Naive westerners indoctrinated through dissimulation into Mohammed's stand-alone 7th century religion parrot what they have been taught about Islam being a religion of peace. True Muslims that live in the cradle of Mohammed's religion that imitate Mohammed's own deeds, view Muslims that reject the 1400 year Islamic goal of imperialistic conquest of all the kingdoms of the world, as apostates. This is why Muslims on the sidelines remain largely silent in regard to Islamic terrorism.

Others that proclaim Islam to be a religion of peace may be purveyors of taqiyyah, or Islamic subterfuge and dissimulation, whitewashing Islam to deceive folks in non-Islamic states into accepting it, until they gain the power to begin making demands. These deceivers are the ones so often spotlighted by western media dupes, even as the same pundits remain silent on Mohammed's followers responsibility for the killing of over two million innocents in the Sudan alone, let alone in regard to Christian persecution all over the rest of the world.

When Mohammed's call to violence against non-muslims is pointed out to western Muslims, many have been trained to cry "you are taking those verses out of context", and suggest that they are references to specific events. But to this I would ask of our Muslim friends, which of the following imperialistic conquests of the Islamic First Jihad, were Mohammed's followers not to .....

Sura 8:12 ....instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliebers: smite ye above their necks….

It's obvious that Islam has not been a religion of peace from the beginning of the Islamic calendar at Hijra, with Mohammed himself having had 800 Jewish farm boys and their dads of the Banu Quraisa brought before him and beheaded, while sexually enslaving their wives and children, and stealing their property.

Indeed, by the time the Islamic hordes arrived in ToursFrance in 732, they were traveling with so much stolen property or as the Quran calls it "booty", that it impeded their escape after their failed assault.

Nor is Islam a religion of peace today with over 16,000 deadly Islamic terror attacks around the world just since 9-11, as meticulously logged by the folks at TheReligionOfPeace.com, that were perpetrated by those that behave as Mohammed did.

As Benjamin Netanyahu said "If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel". Muslim leaders vow to "drive the Jews into the sea" and "kill all the Jews" and conquer Israel, even as Muslims enjoy more freedom in Israel's democracy today, than Muslims do in any Islamic state.

Ironically western peace loving Muslims are cheering on their own destruction, because just as Mohammed's call to violence abrogates his earlier notions of peace, the most violent of Mohammed's true followers that "strike terror into the hearts" of the innocent, will be the ultimate arbiters of Islam "nullifying" any peacenick apostates that find it repugnant to imitate the violence of their prophet.

Yes, I have been reading the Koran, IF they are so much a threat I wanna know what to expect.
Reading the quran will help you understand what a muslim believes and why. It will also help you in witnessing to the muslims by enabling you to demonstrate the numerous discrepancies in the quran. Once a muslim can see the discrepancies in the quran there is a better chance you can open their eyes to the truth of the Scriptures.
