This is a game where you have to name a different fish in each post. Lets see if we can get up to 153.

If you notice someone names the same fish twice you have to say snap. However you cant double post your own.

Why? Cos its fun. That's why.

Are there that many kinds of fish?

I wouldn't know. Here in Tennessee it's catfish, catfish, catfish. Occasionally salmon. Maybe some frozen tilapia at the supermarket. But mostly catfish.

Catfish are the roaches of the river, bottom feeders.

Koi!

Because I always thought it would be cool to have a koi pond. 🙂

But what if they are coy koi and you never see them because they are always hiding under rocks? Better throw in some goldfish and angelfish. Maybe some of those neon tetras too.

Excerpt from a collection of correspondence from an Army doctor stationed on Kwajalien Atoll in the Marshall Islands:

I've started a saltwater aquarium. It's easy to maintain because I refill it from this big pond in our backyard that I call the Pacific Ocean. I get fish for it by going out to a tidal pool at low tide and scooping up anything caught in it. Occasionally I get a testy one and I wind up with only one fish in the aquarium going "burp." Then I start over. The kid next door thinks I'm trying to empty the ocean with a bucket.

Obligatory joke that must be made in a thread like this:

"There's something fishy about this thread."

Sorry but somebody had to do it.

Freckle (I'm wondering if cats enjoy these? Mine don't seem to like fish)

In accordance with orders from Lanolin... Snap.

It's not my fault I can't decipher any of the words you blanketed with all that sarcasm. :p

Besides, any pond worth it's water needs a good SNAP-ping turtle. ;)
