What then do you do about those that backslid & never came back to confess....ya know, besides blowing it off that they were never saved in the first place, I mean?

I see. Well, you can find your answers in the Bible and with prayer.
God Bless.

OSAS sure is great. You can run the race with God and then slip on the mask of hypocrisy and serve sin and still be rewarded by God with Him allowing you into Heaven. However, Ezekiel talks about if you do unrighteousness, all your righteousness will be forgotten. Also, the Bible says, well done good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord. It's not... well done my somtimes evil and unfaithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord. For Jesus says you cannot serve two masters. For you will hate the one and love the other.

Oh Jason, Jason, Jason, have you not been trying to learn anything on here, or are you just so entrenched in your own version of Christianity you think everyone else is wrong?

It is simple Jason, a genuine born again Christian who knows Christ and Holy SPirit is not going to think "Oh good I can just sin now and it dosn't matter", religious people who are spiritually dead will think that, they play at religion while doing what they like.

We all sin numerous times every day, does your comment and statement apply to those sins as well?

Someone who know Jesus and Holy Spirit is not going to just blindly carry on with thier old life, they will try to change, it may take a life time, but they will want that change and know thier sin is wrong, even if they enjoy it while doing it, but after there is guilt and shame.

Anyone who claims they are a genuine Christian and continues exactly the same lifestyle has lied about themselves being born again and being a genuine follower of Christ.

We all sin numerous times every day, does your comment and statement apply to those sins as well?

You only sin numerous times a day, because you CHOSE to sin every day. Sin is a choice not an action

I already have, which is why I asked you the question I did. Not one verse, passage or anything else you have posted tell us when eternal life is secured and how.
That's unfortunate. Perhaps you should speak to a pastor and ask them why you are unable to read scriptures. I believe there are chaplains available at this site or links to, as I have not checked myself but that is usual in Christian communities. Perhaps you can PM one of them or visit a church in your local community.

I shall hold you in my prayers.
In the meantime, I can see you have an adversarial spirit and I do not entertain such sins in the sinner that wishes to perpetuate their wrong doing in a Christian community. May God show you his mercy. Amen.

Are you one of the few special ones you speak of?

Sorry to say in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST, i forgive you. for unmerited favor has been shown onto to me until today. You speak of me well in your confession but you cannot recognize the New Covenant CHRIST in me, as only an unworthy and undeserving servant who have served you and others and have confessed, to what has been written in whole and established, as sound doctrine knowledge of the Kingdom of GOD, according to the New Covenant, through CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT., who have in my weaknesses, understood and am guilty in my walk, by the Help of the HOLY SPIRIT, a hypocrite not against you or others but only in my personnel life given by GOD the FATHER, dishonoring HIS SON, who is praying and pleading for us that we will not perish in ignorance to the understanding of the New Covenant, that we are all called to 'abide' in whole.

Are you saying then that a person can be without sin if they just try? Seriously? Jesus raised the bar on what sin was, Jesus makes it perfectly clear that even just a stray thought is a sin, things you do may be a sin but you do not even begin to comprehend it is a sin.

I appreciate your forgiveness. As I forgive you.

God Bless.

How do you reconcile those statement s with James 1.13-16

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Do not err, my beloved brethren.

You better dig deeper friend...James 1, all of Jesus sermons on SIN, 1 John 2.15-16 and Genesis 3 all prove sin is a CHOICE not an ACTION.

I am not at perfect and I do SIN, yet I am not bound by certain sin's any longer and I do not commit them.

I am a minister and have been a Pastor and I am going to let your pious and snide spirituality and attacks slide...
I asked you a simple question, and because you have no answer for it, launch an attack.

There is no sin here except your pride.

You should examine Rev 2 very thoroughly, before throwing acid and assuming things. Jesus says we must overcome, and then we will be granted access to the tree of life, the same thing is stated in Rev 22...

Sin is exactly what the Bible says it is. You sin. People sin.

I never stated I was not without sin, because to do so would call my Heavenly Father a liar. I said SIN is a choice not an action. It is possible for a Christian to choose not to sin, therefore they would not sin, this does not mean we are without sin.

If I refuse lustful thoughts when I look at a woman, I have not sinned. I only sin when I give birth to lustful thoughts about that woman.

You can't pluck yourself from God's hand. You can backslide. But you can never revoke the fact that Jesus put your name in the lambs book of life.
Remember what we were discussing about false teachers. Cleave to what God said in Jesus Christ. When Jesus said it no mortal interpretation can ever revoke the truth of God.

Rev 3.5 disagrees with you completely....

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

It is obvious through your silly attacks on my character and other things you are still in the shallows of the kiddie pool and are a milk drinker.

Stop vomiting and parroting learned traditions and doctrine and dig into the meat yourself.

We are more than overcomers in Christ.

You cannot overcome the world but Jesus did on your behalf. Please do not rob God of His glory.

There are many scriptures that speak that you must continue to walk in obedience, and endure the things of the world to the end to be saved.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Matthew 24:10-13
And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 10:22
And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

Hebrews 10:36
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

Hebrews 3:12-14
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.

2 Timothy 4:2-8
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

1 Timothy 4:16
Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

Romans 11:19-22
Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

Mark 13:9-13
“But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Then you have the scriptures, that have to do with believers who fall away like mentioned in a couple above and a couple more I now give.

2 Peter 2:20-22
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

Neither can you revoke the fact that your name can be taken out of the Book of Life.

Revelation 3:5 (KJV) [SUP]5 [/SUP]He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 22:19 (KJV) [SUP]19 [/SUP]And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Yes, but as we can read that refers to two different things. 3:5 assures the faithful that they shall not have their name blotted out of the book of life.

Matthew Henry's Commentary – Verses 1–6 (Revelation 3:5)

(Sic)"...III. We now come to the conclusion of this epistle, in which, as before, we have,

1. A great reward promised to the conquering Christian (Rev. 3:5), and it is very much the same with what has been already mentioned: He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment. The purity of grace shall be rewarded with the perfect purity of glory. Holiness, when perfected, shall be its own reward; glory is the perfection of grace, differing not in kind, but in degree. Now to this is added another promise very suitable to the case: I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Observe, (1.) Christ has his book of life, a register and roll of all who shall inherit eternal life. [1.] The book of eternal election. [2.] The book of remembrance of all those who have lived to God, and have kept up the life and power of godliness in evil times. (2.) Christ will not blot the names of his chosen and faithful ones out of this book of life; men may be enrolled in the registers of the church, as baptized, as making a profession, as having a name to live, and that name may come to be blotted out of the roll, when it appears that it was but a name, a name to live, without spiritual life; such often lose the very name before they die, they are left of God to blot out their own names by their gross and open wickedness. But the names of those that overcome shall never be blotted out. (3.) Christ will produce this book of life, and confess the names of the faithful who stand there, before God, and all the angels; he will do this as their Judge, when the books shall be opened; he will do this as their captain and head, leading them with him triumphantly to heaven, presenting them to the Father: Behold me, and the children that thou hast given me. How great will this honour and reward be!
2. The demand of universal attention finishes the message. Every word from God deserves attention from men; that which may seem more particularly directed to one body of men has something in it instructive to all."

While 22:19 promises that those who take away from the words of the book, that which guides the faithful to know God's good news, God shall take away his part, notice it doesn't say name, out of the book of life.

Matthew Henry's Commentary – (Revelation 22) Verses 6–19
(Sic)"...Rev. 22:18, 19. He that adds to the word of God draws down upon himself all the plagues written in this book; and he who takes any thing away from it cuts himself off from all the promises and privileges of it. This sanction is like a flaming sword, to guard the canon of the scripture from profane hands. Such a fence as this God set about the law (Deut. 4:2), and the whole Old Testament (Mal. 4:4), and now in the most solemn manner about the whole Bible, assuring us that it is a book of the most sacred nature, divine authority, and of the last importance, and therefore the peculiar care of the great God."

So is a lost christian to be born again-again? Or once a christian loses their salvation there is no forgiveness?
The problem of all this is lack of knowledge and wisdom and patience ,in all this we must take a trip to genesis and go back to Adam Our earthly Father by natural means now father Adam was ordered /commanded not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil ,and was told on the day he should eat from it he shall surely die , the death He incurred was a spiritual death a life in hell for from this day on all mankind had a destiny to hell through death in the spiritual being impure because of disobedience , but in History we see the exception of some that were ascended into heaven through faith , by faith they saw a better place to better illustrate the faith , we must look at Our Elohim being YHWH THE MOST HIGH being a Holy ELOHIM INCORRUPTIBLE for in Him there is no corruption and most important HE IS ETERNAL . Eternity is a good subject to understand the MOST HIGH ELOHIM THE ONLY ONE , WHO IS THE SAME AS CHRIST FOR THEY ARE ONE . eternity is not constant has no beginning and no end in all GOD's existence being omnipotent for HE IS , THE I AM SOLEMM PURE ALL POWERFUL. now that we have established God's Eternal solemnity , we then look at all His attributes holiness pure , righteousness ,peace ,goodness we then understand his characteristics and if we further search what God hates we Lear what He doesn't like because of such cannot dwell co existing where He is , which brings into remembrance the psalm , who shall ascend up His holy hill who shall enter His holy temple ? And the answer is he who is upright in heart who does not lend with usury who has clean hands , " here is the goal we must take and is a very description of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST who we have now as prime example . And the sin and abomination examples as the dangers that would mean seperation , which is why Jesus is the true light that perfectly shows up the way showing us where we must be , now if one deviates from Jesus(eternity) the life and the resurrection He is truly the way and those who not deny themselves and follow Him will not see eternity , set by example of Adam that man can be sent to death is a very true example and not to ignore the 1st book of john or even revelations or even Jesus warning us not to be deceived even Paul stated this in overall we must be seeking God's eternity by seeking His riches ,bringing in remembrance seek the kingdom and all its righteousness and all else will be added its seek first sorry bout that but we are to love God more than ourselves now question yourselves is Osas list it practical does your heart align with God ? Are you God's seed or Satan's does your actions align with God's eternity or are you living in the time that diminishes and not looking towards the promise 'for time will cease the earth will pass away even the heaven but God's Word will last forever , so in all my advise and God's LET HIS WORD ABOUND IN YOU LET HIM CONSUME YOU TILL HE IS ALL IS LEFT THAT IT BE HIM LIVING THROUGH YOU .
