A Cancer treatment/caregiver chat?

I just been thinking about this today. I been looking for a Discord server (an online chat client) or some kind of chat room specifically for those who are dealing with family who has cancer. Caregivers, family, maybe even the person with it if they want to be there.

I just wonder....does it exist out there, or should I make it or....? Hm...

Do you guys know of one? I'm more partial to discord just because i have a lot of gaming friends on there already.

Perhaps there is a support group in your area that you could join? Never heard of discord, probably won't find gamers discussing cancer there and be willing to offer support and counsel. I'm sure that if you googled this many online chat rooms and support groups will be listed. I think it may be best to separate your gaming interest from the cancer support groups as your interest may not be well received.

Search for "cancer chat rooms".. I'll send you a list of ones that I have. But yes, as Tourist suggested, separate your gaming from the cancer talk..

I haven't "chatted" since AOL 2.0.

But, forums? There are forums for everything. I found a forum about blood-thinners when I needed to know about them. Hubby found a HepC forum when he needed one. I am also a member of a spine forum. If you look for forums, I'm sure you'll find one for cancer support.

And, I think forums work better, because with chat, if you want support you have to be on at just the right time for someone else going through the same thing, and then just the right time because the person going through the same thing might be needing a bed to sleep in just as you start.

Ironically I found a forum that has the same host I guess as Robo because it's identical XD

I used to be a member of AOL. I met my late second wife on that site in a chat room called Christian Romance Singles. Started chatting with her sister at first, she was not interested in me but said that she had an older sister who might be. I said, yeah, right. Turns out we clicked immediately. She lived in Maine and I was living in Florida. Six weeks later I took some time off from work and flew to Portland to meet her. Six days later we both flew back to my home in Florida and were married 2 months later. I guess that I'm a believer in online romance as I met my current wife online too on this site. She will be my last wife.
