REAL American Cranberry Sauce!!

(For all us hooligans, at least.)

Now THIS is what we call "GROOVY"!!! :D

I dare you to just COUNT all those grooves!!

Truth be told, I've made "real" cranberry sauce a couple of times (with stevia...)

As good as it is, I still get a hankering for the stuff in a can.

(Though I prefer whole berry rather than just the straight-up jelly.)

Yes!! Whole berry it is! It's all about the memories. Now I make a cranberry fluff, or a variation every holiday. Yay or Nay to that one??

For me, I would definitely eliminate the Spice Cake. It's ok, but not a must-have. Same with the banana... I could let that one go as well.

Therefore, I am sneaking off with the entire Lemond Pound Cake and White Chocolate Raspberry Cake as compensation. :p

But only because they both have frosting.

A cake without frosting (buttercream, not that horrible Cool Whip stuff,) is utterly naked and completely unacceptable.

I make a three layer carrot cake. It's my hubby's favorite. I laughed when my oldest nephew said he didn't like carrot cake. I asked if he had tried it. I think he thought he was hurting my feelings so he said he would try a little bit. Well later in the day I took the cake out to serve someone and half of it was gone! Hubby said " I think he decided he liked your carrot cake after all!!" lol

Good Knight.

Now, I'm no triumph in the kitchen, that's for sure, but the immediate question that popped into my head was, WHAT ON EARTH wanders through @ThereRoseaLamb's kitchen EVERY TIME SHE MAKES A CAKE and just "HAPPENS" to fall into the batter at just the right time??!!:LOL:

I have this image of random animals making their way through her kitchen at JUST the right time, EVERY SINGLE TIME she makes a cake.

Next thread idea: "Poll: Guess Which Kinds of Things/Critters Have Fallen/Flown Straight Into ThereRoseALamb's Cake Batter?!"

Later on, when Rose and Mr. Rose sit down to dinner, she'd be like, "Now honey, I TRIED to get all the lizard scales out but there might be one or two strays..."

And Mr. Rose would be like, "We never throw out a cake! NEVER!!! A few scales? Bah! Just adds a little texture, that's all..."

Hey, he said don't tell him! lol I was making that cake at my mothers. The kitchen was small and the sink with a light over it was right beside the back door. So every time you opened the door the critters would fly in and flutter around the light, the sink and where you made food. My house isn't like that so there are fewer critters in my cakes now days. rofl

I noticed you said, "So there are fewer critters in my cakes now days.":LOL:

You know, NOT, "So now I don't have any problems with critters falling into my cakes," or, "So now I don't have to worry about ANY critters in my cakes."

Nope.

Instead, it was, "So there are FEWER critters in my cakes now...":cool::p

Well, thank goodness for that!!

I mean, if I was actually going to write a poll asking people to guess which kinds of critters crawl, fly, and gallop on into your cakes... Perhaps now I can eliminate top choices such as lions, tigers, bears, giraffe, exotic birds (you did say the critters would fly on in when you were mixing them up!) and, the occasional elephant.

What a relief!

The poll system only allows for something like 10 choices -- this would help narrow it down substantially!!

Thanks, @ThereRoseaLamb! :D

I feel much better now. :)

P.S. Thank you for always having an awesome sense of humor. Some people would take everything I'm saying personally.

Since I'm obviously unable to put a stop to my own bad humor, I really appreciate people like you who can simply swat me away -- like a fly on your cake. :p

Hahah I know as a Christian we aren't suppose to believe in bad luck but I'm a bit like Rodney Dangerfield. If it's gonna happen, it will happen to me for sure. No one else mentioned critters in cake batter. But I literally watched the moth Texas two step across the counter and jump in my batter!! I said to my mother " Is a moths life that bad?" He just decided to end it all. And in a big way cause it wasn't just the batter but he is little moth balls went through the beater I was using. It wasn't a pretty scene.

Ok I don't even know my answer for this one. This is a hard one. Since desserts are so important during the holidays let's stay with that theme. Eliminate One 582666413_829963886407275_7719273447803027769_n.jpg

While we're at it, the gift every party goer takes to their host/hostess home, chocolate. Eliminate One.581854892_829150289821968_6930553309454926921_n (2).jpg

How Many Roman Catholics Does It Take to Change a Lightbulb?

Seven PLUS one Protestant. One Protestant to nail a sign to the door of the monastery in Latin, explain 95 reasons why the light is burned out, THEN, one Catholic to call Rome and ask if it’s okay to change the bulb, one to hold the ladder for the other one to climb and change it, one to hide the ladder and deny the bulb ever burned out, two to convene a council to declare any view that the bulb EVER burned out as heretical and one to cut and paste responses from Catholic Answers to show Protestants that the bulb really didn’t change, it DEVELOPED.

How many Calvinists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. God has predestined when the lights will be on.

Q: How many Pentecostals does it take to change a lightbulb? A: 10, one to change it and 9 others to pray against the spirit of darkness.

I'll draw y'all in here somehow. Now, which chocolate would you eliminate?!

@ThereRoseaLamb thank you for those jokes.

Here's another from my people: how many Eastern Orthodox does it take to change a lightbulb? Zero. They all went to the monastery.

Ok the BDF and News Forums are making my brain bleed. I want invite our groovy singles to this post, we all know they are the coolest here at CC. ;) With Thanksgiving round the corner, here we go!!

Eliminate One, and tell us why you did. This one is an easy one for me, green bean casserole. Maybe I just haven't had someone good at making it but that's my choice.

Not getting rid of any of these they are all good, however, I can't stand and makes me gag is sweet potato casserole with all those nasty marshmallows yuck. Just give me a plain baked sweet potato with butter and salt and I am good to go.
