And notice how this thread like others has turned into another attack the messenger thread. They don't address the scriptures or the message being posted (with the exception of a few) but instead they try to discredit the poster by misrepresenting his posts. They bring smart mouthy comments, insults, along with false accusations, lies, and blasphemy.


Does this sound like Christ like behavior?

Sadly Sis, besides the obvious-we all can agree on-truths of the Bible, the rest sort of fall into interpretations.
If we pushed away everyone who we thought fit those verses.....then technically.....we'd have no need for a forum, or friends.

In the case of believing that we can lose the Holy Spirit, l disagree strongly with those who say we can.
Its contradicts the perfect flow of Christs teachings.

What these guys are doing by calling them out, needs to be done. The way they do it, is just debate style.
I know personal attacks, these guys are "attacking" their message, not them.
This false teaching that one can lose something only the Lord can gives us, is a lie of epic proportions.
Those verses they present to push their point, are twisted out of context...and someone needs to point that out.

They believe the harder they work and the more they 'know', the more they deserve salvation. A lie.
I call them elitist Christians, not elected Christians.

Even if it were true....why are they on CC debating?
Better get to work......a whole lotta work needs to be done if they wanna stayed saved!

Amen. You wanna know the mark of a mature believer? The inability to be offended by slights criticism and gossip...percieved or real. These guys who come here with all the answers and then get all wadded up in their poor me victim mentality when they are called to task are as transparent as a plate glass window. It isn't any more complicated than they don't have the capacity or maturity to take what they dish out.

The guy called my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ a liar for heavens sake! How can they think they abide in Christ by blaspheming Jesus Christ and attacking those who speak His words according to scripture?

The concept of attacking the messenger involves slander. You seem unaware the meaning of this, rather have no problem employing slander, at the drop of a hat.

As to attacking you, would agree this is unnecessary, as you do it so well, yourself. Watch out for all those people who aren't being Christ-like. (As already mentioned, you need to keep that sheep's head you wear adjusted properly. You were showing way too much fang, huge tell.)

If you knew Him, you would know what I am saying is True. But God's Word does not abide in you, therefore you do not know "my Jesus". You have blasphemed the Jesus whom I know and serve, and have called both Him and me a liar, as have several others in this thread. This blasphemy against the Jesus I serve is the sin that shall not be forgiven, the sin my Lord said not to pray for, the sin that is unto death.

I am done with this thread, let all those who deny the words of God be accursed.

Eternal security says salvation is UNconditional. Yet in the above context, Jesus consistently used conditional words (if & except) many times along with conditional phrases. Obviously, the man-made teaching of eternal security is not in the mind of Christ here...

The Christian must CONDITIONALLY bear fruit or be taken away from Christ>not possible if UNconditional ES were true. It is pointless and senseless to say "he taketh away" if it were IMPOSSIBLE for the Christian to be taken away from abiding in Christ. The Christian has no choice but to walk in good works (bear fruit) or be lost, Eph 2:10.

"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch"

"IF" the Christian does not CONDITIONALLY abide in Christ he is cast forth as a branch > not possible if ES were true. It would be pointless and senseless to say "IF" a man abide not in Me if it were IMPOSSIBLE for that man NOT to abide in Christ.

" and cast them into the fire, and they are burned"

If eternal security were true it is IMPOSSIBLE for the Christian to wither and burn. Yet in Heb 6, the Christian that falls away (verses 4-6), IF he remains in that state not bearing fruit but briers and thistles, his end is to be burned, v8.> lost.
