We all have foods we hate. What are some of yours?

I think my least is watergate salad.... I don't HATE it as much now but I just do not like the texture.

Mac and cheese!

When I was 17 I ate a big bowl of mac and cheese and the next day came down with mono. I know one has nothing to do with the other, but to this day I get sick if I just LOOK at mac and cheese!

I loath Broccoli and Courgettes In fact most cooked vegetables make me baulk but I eat them under protest. Strangely I like some raw like Carrots, Celery and Onions

Sliced White bread thats made in a factory and wrapped in plastic. -not a patch on freshly baked hand kneaded loaves of bread.
Sweet biscuits that are made in factories. - not made with love. Made by machines.

Only three things I really despise:

1 - Tomatoes from the store. God never intended tomatoes to be chewy.

2 - Boiled okra. Pickled okra is good and fried okra is a wonderful thing. Boiled okra is a mucilaginous mess.

3 - Anything imitation. Veggie burgers, fast "food," stuff that is processed and loaded down with chemicals to make it seem like something else... Real, honest food is great. Imitation "food" is an abomination.

I like everything.
Although I am told I am not going to like Vegemite as it is actually salty mud.

I don’t tend to be a fan of pickled things in general. I don’t like the sourness.

Yeah it’s literally fermented yeast paste. It’s like a savory spread, and often time people try and eat it straight which is not a good idea. Most people put marmite and veggimite on toast and also spread VERY thinly.

Trying to think of other foods I don’t like....oh! Jello.

I love the idea of jello, I love the possible flavors, but I just cannot handle the texture. The fact it is slimy and then turns into liquid in your mouth is just yucky.

BUT I am a fan of custard and pudding. Maybe since it has a bit more substance to it. And like maybe if I try one of the ones that has different stuff in layers I might like it, or a more cream based variant.... but not plain.

Wow. That rainbow layered one took a LOT of patience! Lay down a layer, let it cool in the fridge, lay down a cream layer, another layer of jello, let it cool...

Yeah, cooking with gelatin just looks like a really big exercise in patience. Don’t think I would do well in it, but it looks so cool

Isn't gelatin very good to help assimilate vitamins?
That was my understanding
Grandson would eat a lemon but couldn't hack pudding, said it was the texture.
The above pictures look great!

Only if it's the animal gelatin (pork or beef). It is great for the joints and helps repair the villi in your intestines. Agar agar, which is plant based, without smell and commonly used for cakes, has no such abilities.
