Paul Certainly does NOT !!When Paul uses the phrase “works of the law” he certainly has in mind circumcision, food laws, and the Sabbath.
You are corruption Paul, to fit your narrative ... typical Anti-Christ "modus operendi"... sad ...
You can't group God's Moral Commandments, and God's Sabbath in with The Mosaic Law's of ceremonies, which foreshadowed the Christ 1st Coming to Earth, which were "nailed to the cross" and done away with by Jesus ""fulfilling" those foreshadowing LAWS, eg the law circumcision and sanctuary laws, etc.( Laws = God's Standard of obedience, for Mankind at those current OT times & spiritual situations. Those ceremonial laws were for Israel at THAT TIME, we are under a New Covenant where God's Laws are written in our hearts, (sans "ceremonial laws") still to be obeyed, NOW ! ...by the POWER of Christ's Holy Spirit, IN US, as we are IN HIM... Gal 2:20
Jesus fulfilled, MAGNIFIED God's Moral Law by "doing them rightly" ... perfectly ! ... to become the LAMB of GOD, where His BLOOD perfectly fulfilles that required sacrificial LAW in the NOW Heavenly Sanctuary ( The Earthly sanctuary "LAW" ceremonies now having been done away with, by Christ ) to redeem us from the penalty of SIN, which is death, so that we NOW have the opportunity, given to us by Jesus The Christ, to "Repent of our current SINS, Repent of our Lawlessness, & STOP following and believing this anti-Christ spirit that has been in this world, corrupting God's Word and deceiving us for these last 1995 years.
the Moral Law is eternal, reflects God’s character, and was written by the finger of God on tables of stone. In contrast, the Ceremonial Law was written by Moses in a book and was entirely provisional. It was given to Israel to point forward to the coming Messiah and was abolished at the cross.
Here is an explanation of the "ceremonial laws" that Christians are no longer obligated to observe, using the writings of Paul and the KJV Bible as interpreted by Ellen White and the pioneers:
1. The "Handwriting of Ordinances" (Nailed to the Cross)
The ceremonial law consisted of the Levitical priesthood, animal sacrifices, circumcision, meat and drink offerings, and specific annual festivals. These rituals were designed to teach the Israelites about the coming sacrifice of Jesus. When Jesus died, the true Lamb of God had been slain, making the animal sacrifices and rituals obsolete.Paul explicitly addresses the cancellation of this ceremonial system in Colossians and Ephesians:
- Colossians 2:14 (KJV): "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"
- Ephesians 2:15 (KJV): "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;"
2. The "Shadow of Things to Come" vs. The Reality
The ceremonial law included seven annual, yearly sabbaths (such as the Day of Atonement, Passover, and the Feast of Tabernacles) which fell on different days of the week each year. The pioneers heavily emphasized that these annual ceremonial sabbaths were entirely distinct from the weekly seventh-day Sabbath of the Moral Law.Paul describes these ceremonial festivals as mere "shadows":
- Colossians 2:16-17 (KJV): "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
3. The "Schoolmaster" Added Because of Transgression
In the book of Galatians, Paul deals heavily with the Judaizers—early Christians who were trying to force Gentile converts to keep the ceremonial law (specifically circumcision).- Galatians 3:19 (KJV): "Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made..."
- Galatians 3:24-25 (KJV): "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."
Summary of the Pauline Distinction
There are many who try to blend these two systems, using the texts that speak of the ceremonial law to prove that the moral law has been abolished; but this is a perversion of the Scriptures."<~~ @Gideon300 & @Inquisitor <~~ follower, believers & promoters of Antichrist theology perversions, from Satan. Being the "False prophets" of the UN-holy Trinity of Rev. 16:13
Paul says Christians are no longer under the law of ordinances, he is freeing the church from the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament (sacrifices, circumcision, Levitical feasts, and rituals). He is not freeing Christians from the obligation to obey God's Moral Law, which Paul himself uplifts in Romans 7:12 (KJV): "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."
@Gideon300 ... I understand your theological position, ... you proclaiming a theology of disobedience to God siding with Lucifer and we SDA's proclaiming our need of a Savior and desire for King Jesus & His Laws of His Character, & His Kingdom.
Of course we call each other "false prophets" which I do regularly, by knowing you folks, by your "fruits" ( like @Dino246 & @GWH , et al ) all of whom, argue against the "Authority of God" and His Authority to have Laws that we mere humans HAVE TO OBEY, to be called His Chosen People, His Children, His Remnant Church, being saved for eternity.
Revelation 14:12, et al
For those "innocent observers" ... here are instances of False Prophets, ... To help you judge for yourselves, which of these two religions, Disobedience to God, or Obedience to God and His Commandments, is the Righteousness of Christ, The Truth, The Way to Heaven and Life, Eternal.
