Minecraft and Roblox were always popular.
Minecraft books would always go missing in my library. I was asked for Roblox books. And Fortnite. I wouldn't recommend Fortnite. Too addictive, poor kids playing them would be so wired the day after.

Prodigy, a math one was popular.
I liked Kahoot. Its a trivia one and you can make up your own quizzes.

What I was getting at is that you shouldn't think that fictional violence has moral implications just because someone tells you it does, by your own faith, only you can decide that and the reason why I'm even saying this is because it seems as those Churches and Christians in America love to perpetrate this kind of confusion of making everyone feel bad and guilty because everything isn't gumballs and rainbows.

Not only that, but in America, there does seem to be a thing of trying to feminize boys and men, and I remember one time in the 6th grade at recess, me and some boys found a bunch of Acorns and threw them at each other because that's what you do with Acorns, I remember doing that in kindergarten.
However the Teacher got upset and called our parents to complain that we were doing something that boys do, and if I remember correctly, my Dad was in the head space of "Call me when he actually does something wrong!".

I'm not sure why you were grilling @Rainstorm so hard after he gave these answers.

Rain said absolutely nothing about what anyone else should do -- he only stated his own personal beliefs.

I've done the same thing in my life (limiting my exposure to violence in media,) when I felt God wanted me to pull back from it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that and yes, someone can do it on their own accord. Why assume it's because someone else told him to?

What, exactly, is your idea of "helping"?" Your questioning actually sounds like it's accusing or condemning Rain's believes without him doing anything wrong. In another thread, a poster was sharing some unpleasant encounters due to being an Asian American.

You immediately wanted to know what kind of Asian -- as if that matters? This is like someone saying they were being bullied for being overweight, and you asking, "Well, how overweight are you?" It doesn't matter. What matters is that no one should have to go through being bullied.

And then when that member went on to further explain his experiences as an Asian-American, you said that you hadn't seen white Americans behaving all that badly towards Asians.

It's as if you were trying to say that it only counted if you were a certain kind of Asian, and that even if it does exist, it can't be all that bad (it was like you were implying the person was exaggerating or making it all up) just because you haven't personally experienced or seen it.

Do you often make such wild assumptions about everyone around you?

Now granted, I'm only a bystander observing what's posted, but @Rainstorm isn't saying anything here's that wrong. He simply voiced a different perspective.

If a person is going after someone to "correct" them when there's nothing to correct them over, the person who's making themselves the sheriff is the one that's wrong.

You answered Rain by assuming what he thought and then telling him, "In that case, you're just plain wrong and should read... (Scriptures you think back up your case.)"

You automatically assuming what he's thinking and why, handing out both a judgment and a remedy without even allowing him to fully answer.

So it's not that you have a sensitivity to fictional violence but you think there's some kind of moral implications?
In that case, you're just plain wrong and should read Romans 14:

"As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand."

And then later:

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

The only moral implications is by according to your faith, not that there is anything wrong with fictional violence it to begin with.

I understand asking questions, but Rain never gave anything to warrant such an answer or to be told he was "plain wrong."

I also understand that you might feel frustrated, but some people came here because they were trying to support your thread and you as a new member.

However, you also have to look at things from the perspective of those who answer.

If you're just going to automatically assume something without giving them time to answer, or can't accept it when they don't answer, but still answer for them -- no one is going to be very enthusiastic about answering your questions.

I agree with you. @Rainstorm simply said he likes playing CS2. But no one else did. And that might have made him think if no other Christians play it, maybe he shouldn't as well.

So while no one shamed him into stop playing shooter games, the fact no one else plays shooter games might have influenced him unduly to give them up.

I see why you're investigating his decision to see if it was on his own, or if the posts in this thread may have pressured him indirectly to give shooters up.

Xbox had Halo put up on a large screen television in the electronic stores to run and be played free for anyone passing by....
It was off the hook fun....killed 30 minutes at least of anyone caught up watching it or by playing....best marketing I ever seen for a game. Literally overnight, when no one had heard of X-Box suddenly everyone had a system and owned that game.
Something similar happened with Call of Duty....online playing with buddies....

Me? I was broke....still working off of Doom and having my computer call another computer over hard phone lines. That was heart pounding enough....total geek squad.....
Had a stashed copy of Duke Nukem.....

Sega Genesis system? Sonic the hedgehog....all in with ya there buddy.

You came off as highly argumentative, almost combative.

Multiple friends of mine agreed that you were coming in hot on this. And I didn't show it to them and say, hey do you think he's being rude here? They brought it up.

Going back and reading your posts... If I squint really hard I can see where you might have had good intentions. Maybe. But it sure sounded like you were chewing rainstorm out.

Red faction was amazing. You could literally dig holes through anything in the entire game to get around enemies.

I hope you do stay and not let people pressure you to leave! Not a lot of Christian gamers here and I like talking about video games.

I've put some of them on ignore. I'm sure some have put me on ignore too, but I'm not missing them.

If you want to try other genres, I think business/restaurant games might be something you'll like. I just finished a restaurant simulator called "Okinawa Soba Simulator"

This is my review of it:

I used to live in New York City where it was very easy to find a Japanese noodle shop. I've moved to a new area where Japanese restaurants and noodle shops aren't as easily accessible. I miss them so much! I hadn't had a good bowl of soba in a long time! So I bought this game.

It's a bit buggy, but nothing you can't work around. I got an average of around five to six customers per day, sometimes seven depending on how fast I get things done. You can get more customers, if you're faster than me. There are 18 recipes and most are very easy to learn and remember. The customers for the most part are patient, but don't be too slow, don't give them stale ingredients, don't have missing ingredients in their dish, or have a dirty toilet - they will walk out and not pay. The game ends when you reach 30 days. After that you start over again.

I don't mind having to start over again. By that time you'll have already known each recipe by heart and things will go faster and more efficient. I currently went through the game two times already. I'm going to go pick it up later on and play some more runs. I like that it has an end and doesn't go on and on. It's also quite relaxing once you know the recipes and fall into a good routine.

It has 20 achievements. I don't achievement hunt, but I think they are all easily achievable if you want to 100% it.

Overall, I just had a great time with it! To me it is very fun and something to do that's relaxing as long as you don't mess up the order process and keep your restaurant clean. I highly recommend this game!

At full price it is 99 cents, but I got it at Steam's annual Summer Sale and got it for like 69 cents!

There's another one I'm waiting for release this September called, "Japanese Ramen Simulator" and hopefully that one will be great too. It looks like it will be from its trailer and screenshots.
