LOL...my look is basically t-shrts with bands, logos,or silly stuff on them. Jeans-sitting at my waistline,belt...none of this hanging down with my boxers showing lunacy. (how do ppl walk like that...?? amazing) Not big on accessories.Sometimes I'll wear some of my silver rings (not into gold at all) Leather wrist cuff, sweatband. My hair is just basic...usually a faux-hawk style...sometimes I will do a real mohawk if I get super bored...but I like to keep it simple. My hair grows insanely quick,so keeping it short is a pain, but I don't want to ever go back to having super long hair again either. I love to be in sweats or shorts when home.
As far as how I like a woman to dress...really whatever she likes, but personally I'm not into women with heavy make-up,unless it's heavy eyeliner, that I find sexy. I'm not into the boring way, someone like a Martha Stewart would dress. I find that so blah & cookie cutter. I kinda find that Jersey Shore look a bit gross too.

I love a pretty man! thug,80's hair band with excessive facial piercing, Bob the builder look, or sweat pants isn't my thing. ohh pretty man can't pluck his eye brown unless its uni and no cleat coated nail polish

Oh no I've noticed someone said they don't like cowboy boots, I'm afraid I wear cowboy boots and skinny jeans but I do live in the South so I probably would not appeal to a city boy (i'm sorry!) :) But I don't like it when guys dress like gangsters either I don't know what is going on there. Not attractive. at all. dude I don't want to be seeing your underwear and your butt gah-ross. I don't think I really care what style they wear as long as they look clean cut you know like they take care of themselves and how they present themselves. Does that make sense?

^ Too bad they didn't listen to that guy.

I like it when women just dress casually. Jeans, t-shirts, whatever...or have their own style...Just not into all the super fancy dressing up stuff or someone who is worrying over every little hair being in place, every nail being just ohh so perfect, yadda yadda. Some just look like they'd be high maintenance.
That said, cleanliness is still VERY important. Just cause you dress more casually doesn't give you a good excuse to not shower...at least in my opinion. ha.

I'm sure there is someone who is attracted to each style. We're all different. I guess the wait is still on for the G lovers in the thread.

SKinny jeans and cowboy boots? thats perfect

Thanks for the pictures on what "G" is. :) In that case no, the "G" style does not attract me. I don't want to be anyone's "shawty" (also I'm not short) or "baby gurrrll". Bleh.

I don't really care for preppy style (like pink Hollister shirts or upturned collars or whatever) or cowboy boots. I don't really care for the hipster movement either. I like jeans/t-shirts/button-down shirts (bonus if they wear converse) and I'm also like rocker style (dark jeans/t-shirt, leather wrist "bracelets", some piercings [not excessive]) which is weird because I never dress like that. I'm pretty diverse in what I like, though. As long as they smell clean!

I dress casual but girly, usually. Never dresses or heels though!

Also, arwen, that first guy's hair style that you posted? YES.

Edited: Also, a guy who is dressed up sharp (dress clothes or a TUX!!) is good. Not dressed like that all the time, but they look nice when they do!

What I'm not into on a guy: Gangsta ANYTHING, no baggy pants, no untied shoes, wearing jerseys all the time. I understand if you're a sports guy and you wear them to the game, whatever, but not all the stinkin' time! Hipsters need not apply, no emo nonsense, no popped collars, holister shirts, or cowboy apparel. And NO jewelry! It wigs me out when a guy has an earring or a necklace.

In guys, I like jeans that fit, normal shirts, touchable hair, normal shoes, and comfort. A guy in dress clothes is a nice look too.

When it comes to clothes I wear, I go for comfort as well. I'm a jeans kinda girl! However, I usually wear straight leg or boot cut jeans. Jeggings and hollywood skinny just aren't for me. When it comes to tops, that varies. Most of my tops are cotton and may have something on them. I'm more into what the color scheme of the outfit is than the print of the top.

So how about a guy with nice fitting jeans, striped dress shirt under an argyle v-neck sweater, with a scarf and a pea coat with nice black dress shoes?

I like the nice casual look.Nice jeans t Shirts etc.I don't like goth vampire stuff, Punk stuff

^ *swoons* My boyfriend dresses like this occasionally and I love it. :)

Going back to the original question, I think it somewhat depends on the guy. I have a childhood male friend who is a cowboy through and through, from his physical appearance to his work ethic to his manners to his rough and tumble sense of adventure, and when he dresses like a cowboy, he looks good. On the other hand, my boyfriend is a slim-but-well-toned Asian gentleman who would look ridiculous in cowboy apparel, but he absolutely rocks the look Nautilus described above. In general though, I value cleanliness above trendiness. For casual looks, clean, simple, and effortless-looking goes a long way with me, and for formal occasions, I much prefer classy but simple over lots of "bling".

Trends I'm not into:
Emo/Scene
Swag (think Justin Bieber) (ugh. This look seriously makes me want to gag on a fork)
Gangsta

Im like the white version of her boyfriend i guess? lol jk. Though that is normal attire for me unless im lounging around the house or working

I believe I'm going to break from here for a bit. :)

I wish everyone the best.

Don't judge, NiceguyJ. You never know what they go through!

NO-NO:

- Guys with skinny jeans, and especially jeggings!
- Guys who intentionally button down their shirt to look cool (and walk with that I'm-so-cool manner)
- Guys with long hair
- Guys who wear branded styles much more than I do
- Guys wearing slippers with socks!

Well, I'm a Mennonite by heart but I wear modern styles but not too much bling-bling and make up (personal preference, not because I'm a Mennonite). I'm practical, so I love to wear top + jeans or just a casual dress. Dress up only for special occasions.

YES-YES:

- Any man who looks earthly comfortable with what he wears (except of those above)

I've been called retro/eclectic with how I dress. I like the same in a lady.

Really I like what most women wear, all I ask is that they don't try to look like the following:

1. A strumpet.

2. Jersey Shore (sub-category of strumpet).

3. G

4. Mennonite (I wouldn't have thought of it if Liamson hadn't brought it up).

5. Frumpy

That's it. Everything else is permissible.

1. A strumpet.

So, I really should have just asked you what a strumpet was before I looked on Google images for what that style would look like.

For those of you who also don't know, it's "A female prostitute or promiscuous woman." Yeah, don't Google it. :o

I wish I wasn't so naive on terms, sometimes. I didn't know what a G was, and now strumpet...

Thanks for posting your finds, Rachel. I knew about "G's", but didn't have a hey diddly clue about what a "stumpet" was... and was afraid to ask out of fear of being deemed too old and too out of touch to be allowed in the forum! :p

I can abide by all the other things, however, resisting the urge to cater to my severe Mennonite fashion tendencies is going to take some work. At least I now know why I apparently don't have the Christian guy I'm looking for!

Ok ok what do you mean by Mennonite? old school or new? You might be thinking of Amish, not Menno.
I go to a University where half of the students are Menno, and they don't look old school or Amish. Many people in my uni dress in a cross of hipster/folk look. But thats kind of a generalization.
