I am so curious as to what you think Jesus meant when he said the following in Matthew 9:27-31.

27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying , and saying , Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? I know that the person of Jesus Christ is not among us in the flesh but are we not members of his body, flesh and bones and do we not have the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead? If we do and we believe and do not waiver or doubt for those things we ask, we he not give them to us as was given to the Lord?

When you asked the Lord to save and forgive you of your sin, did you waver and doubt the Lord that he could or would do just as you asked? How often do we go to the Lord for healing or ask by proxy for another without wavering and without doubt knowing that the Father hears us and will do that which we make request? Do we abide in him and do his words abide in us so that when we ask we ask according to the will of God? Does God withhold any good thing and are we to believe that we will receive from God that for which we have petitioned him? I think that we ask, but not in faith believing and do not receive anything from the Lord. The only way for the Lord to rid our heart of unbelief is not to seek a sign but to believe with all our heart, nothing wavering, knowing that we will receive of the Lord. Jesus said, do you believe I am able and the man said YES, I believe but help my unbelief. I do believe we serve the same Lord today as he was when he walked the earth and even then there were times when he could do nothing because of unbelief. Do we have the mentality of, 'Don't bother the master' or do we go to him in all things because he said, 'Forbid them not and bring them to me'.

Since everyone knows he's a fraud, why do they keep him on tbn? The first time I saw him he gave me the creeps

I once saw him in person and what a show he puts on and I stress HE. It is all a set up getting followers to follow him claiming he follows Christ I do not know his judgement for it not for me to know, I am and do glory in the fact that Christ is being preached and many will come to salvation, because God knows who are trul seeking him in truth without a alternative motive of any self gain.

If you ever get a chance their is a movie by HBO about four hours long called Glory, Glory and is a real eyeopener how God can use Hypocrites that use his truth for selfgain, changing some or their minds at the end. It is awesome

If you want to help him, you need to know what you are going to help him with. If I am going to write to Benny Hinn and tell him that he said something wrong, I cannot just go and say he must go and look on all the places people think he is wrong and then come and repent. That man believes just as hard (probably harder) that he is doing the will of God. You will have to tell him exactly what he said is wrong and prove to him why it is wrong and then show him how to correct it and why. Or is this threat not meant to help Benny Hinn. If not why on earth are we talking about him? Are we not then backbiting?

BH is an official person with not a few big claims. His public teachings will have to suffer being discussed and criticized publicly. While I agree that it is well to contact him personally and show him his wrongs it is not something you can expect and demand from all his critics everywhere on earth. One might contact him personally to point this out, many have done so and I am sure some still do. I am also sure that many of these people have brought up the same issues. He has obviously found no reason to listen to it, until now. But I agree with your point and I have practiced this when I have had the opportunity to, including addressing WOF leaders.

If you want to talk about someone, the intention should be to aid them. Firstly at least. If you want to say, but he doesn't want to listen. Then you should at the very least be able to say exactly what you are disagreeing with. Not what somebody else disagree with. What you are disagreeing with. Because what if that which you are disagreeing with is, he is actually right? How then can we help you? I don't endorse him, nor do I say everything he says is right. I am saying, please give the statements that are wrong for you. And why you think so. Since this is the Bible study forum. It would make sense that we would discuss the statements and give verses for and against it, until we reach a conclusion. However to simply downgrade somebody, whoever he is. Tim Story, Ray McCaully, Ghandi... are also just names to me... and some of those names you probably never heard of. If one of those people were my best friend. I would have to give you the statements since he is not popular. And we would be discussing the statements as aid to my friend.

I agree with what you have written here. I just happen to concur with the numerous exposes of what he teaches that is false. Hence I refer to that information.

So maybe I am a bit slow on the uptake. But I want to know what it is statement wise that he said wrong according to everybody that says he said something wrong or say he is wrong. For if you say he is wrong, then certainly you have the statement.

So I got two questions: One, do you really want to help a brother or do you merely want to talk bad about some guy?
Or Two: If you want to warn them(cc) about a wrong statement made. Then please give the statement and give verses that support it... or at the very least give the statement and then ask if anybody know verses

I do not consider false teachers, who refuse to renounce their falsehood, brethren. However, the aim with correcting, reproving and rebuking all false doctrine et al is to help those into it hopefully to come out of same. Needless to say. I don't know why you ask about this? Have you seen any hatred against BH as a person in this thread?

Carey, for your benefit.... I saw a six yearold girl frightened and shaken on the stage with BenHin, and I also had an experience with my two young daughters in a AGS church in South Africa, where the pastor layed hands on people and they will fall backwards and ushers will catch them.

Both my daughters aged 5 and 7 ran to me very scared and asked.... Why is that man killing the people? We left that church, because no child has EVER been frightened by God and His teachers... That falling over is EVIL, unbiblical and straight from Satan.... Teronto blessing I think was the first time that DEVIL shown his head.

I am still waiting for about 59 people to show me where it happened in the Bible.... Remember it should be IDENTICAL, or it is edited and obviously FALSE!

There is no such event in the Bible. BH loves throwing people around, I just hope God does not give me the oppertunity to be on his stage, I would have to hold back with all I got. But I doubt I will go on my own accord, even if he is at the neighbours house.... Too many EVIL practises and words.

Do I judge him? No I judge his teachings... IT IS FROM SATAN! God gave me a command to put the spirits to the test... BH spirit is NOT FROM GOD! 1 John 4:1... Put them spirits to the test, do not BELIEVE all spirits.

I agree with you Cobus on Hinn and this is why for he as others I have heard they call people up to be slain in the Spirt.

This part is the easiest to find. But there were also times when God spoke to His prophets and they couldn't move, were as dead, etc. The Bible is full of it. Since you know your Bible so well, I'm sure you know what I am talking about.

That being said. I do not agree that every time these people fall they fall under the Will or Authority of God. Most of the time it appears to be by the will of man.

Secondly... the fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge... we all know those scriptures...

I wonder how your 5 and 7 year old children would have reacted if they saw a column of fire coming out of Heaven like with the Isrealites. Or the sea opening up like with Moses.

God is not a God of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. But that does not mean that His presence will sometimes bring fear into you. When Jesus walked on the water, the disciples were afraid of Him and thought He was a spirit. Only after He told them not to fear, did their fear subside. But His presence was fearful, even though it did not carry the intention of delivering fear. One day when our Messiah comes in His glory on the clouds, a lot of people are going to fear... even those that are of His own flock. I mean, you imagine like John spoke of Him with Fire in His eyes. That is a fearful sight. One time when I was privelidge to see the Light of Him, I was filled with Fear, until He told me not too fear. But before His words came to me not to fear it felt like every bone in my being was shaking and I couldn't even contemplate to move. Then His word came to me not to fear and all fear in me fled out of me and peace entered me.

As for Benny Hinn. Let God judge him according to what or who he is. It is not our place. If there is something that he preached that is false. Make the false statement known...even to him. So he too can be edified.

The Holy Ghost in that passage had not yet come to give life and they fell backward already being dead in the Spirit, BH uses slain in the Spirit to kill and is not of my Father and I pray for him, yet I am to let the cards fall where they fall and trust God in me to lead me and tell others of his Love to the full, overflowing seeking not for the physical healings seeking for the Spiritual where a man becomes Whole again as Adam and Eve were before they ate from that evil tree that caused death. Now we eat from the tree of life that brings life here and now through the cross Thank you Jesus And Father for this amazing salvation and turning us back to life in you by you from our beleif in you, for you have done all trhings and can do all things this I know becausae you have told me so anyone else?

I do not deny that God can make you fall or even make you become immobile by His presence. But I have often wondered the following and this is how I always make a destinction. The Bible says that the Word of God never comes back to Him void. I can't remember where exactly, but I am sure you know what I am talking about.

This would imply that when a person were to fall in the presence of God, that there is a reason behind it. Even if it is merely to understand the authority of God. So if a person, say per example were to have no arms and he fell, and by the time he reaches the ground he has arms. There would be sort of more sense to it. What I can't understand is the reasoning behind most of these people's falling. Up to today I still couldn't figure it out.

But then I have also learned that in my Christian walk not everything makes sense to my understanding. For that is why it is written one should not lean upon your own understanding. But one should do what one does in obedience to God. And it is my belief, that no matter how we perceive it. Benny Hinn firmly believes he is following God in obedience.

There were a couple of times when God asked me to heal people in a strange way, but afterward the person was healed and remained healed. It didn't make sense, it still doesn't. The person didn't fall. But she had to walk in a certain way. It was almost redicoulous except for the fact that it was an instruction. But by the obedience the person was healed. Usually when God ask me to heal someone....so far... I must use a specific method that He shows me before hand. (which is given by Jesus who says he does nothing if not shown by the Father) When I do this method then the person gets healed immediately. If God tells me no, the person is not going to get healed, then He also don't provide me with a method. And I therefore don't pray for the person... and therefore I am not creating false hope.

For this reason... I am wondering as to the method of Benny Hinn. I do not really follow his campaign. I know of him. But as for falling down... based on that alone, I cannot say that a person is a false teacher. So my question would be this. What did he say which is false.?

On judging, I thought we were supposed to judge each other, not in condemnation, but a godly judging, to keep each of us in check, at least that's what I was told by a church leader, not sure if it's biblical or not, so please correct me if I'm wrong

The prophecies this man claims has nothing to do with edifying the church, but it is a con to get money from gullible people, supposedly God told him to build, one was for an orphanage that never housed any children, the others I forgot, the people that supposedly got healed were all actors, he has been approached to come clean but he never has

I want to give you a couple of ideas to consider...
first some scriptures:
Mat 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Mat 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe... Benny wasn't actually talking to the people, but to the spirits?

I am certainly sure he can make a few mistakes in the way he speaks just like you made a few mistakes when you were writing for me. Saying the following: May the cards fall where they fall... which is coming from the gambling term leaving something open to chance. Chance of course being inspired by the Lady Luck.... Lady Luck obviously from the goddess Fortuna.

So just in case if you wondered where luck or chance came from. Now personally I don't think you meant that a demon should now intervene, but nonetheless that is what you said. So one should be pretty carefull these days it seems because just about anything can be taken out of perspective. And frankly I would rather have Benny Hinn or any other Christians say they slay demons as opposed to casting them out, as for any Christians to avilliate themselves with a known spirit which is not of God.

I am far more concerned about people talking about chance and luck, then I am concerned about one Christian obviously trying to save as many as possible before the end using the word slain which means death. And frankly if I could I probably would also like to use the word slain when it comes to demons.

On a different note. I saw a man playing a guitar filled with the Holy Spirit jumping and twirling and playing the guitar with his eyes closed... not once stepping on the cable and he did this praising God for more than 10 minutes. Theoritically an impossibility, yet by the grace and power of God it happened.

I have seen that the Holy Spirit stop and start rain so teenagers can go home after a gathering just because we believed and asked. And that within seconds after we prayed. I have seen God sending rain to a place that have drought simply because we asked. I have seen food multiplying just so that the mission team we were in can also eat the night since no food was prepared for us. I have seen a man walking 11 kilometers (give or take 7 miles) just to come and show us that he as healed from the previous nights prayer. Once we took a projector into a rural area and the air was so filled with Ghetto smoke that the projector couldn't project onto the screen which was 10 m away...let alone the people see. And after prayer I saw how God cleared the air within minutes so clear you could see onto the horizon. Once we were ministering in a tent and the clouds were gathering to rain, and two of us were set apart to pray so that the rain would wait. It waited until the one in our group preaching said the Amen after his final prayer and then it started. I have probably close to 20 years of experiences like this in my life which I felt seen and experienced hands on. Deaf and sick people getting healed. And all this happened by the grace of God. And on all accounts God was glorified and on all accounts the gospel were spread and the faith of the people grew. And on all accounts people focussed their lives closer to God.

Some sow seeds of words, others water by doing miracles, but at the end it is God that gives the increase.

I cannot say whether or not Mr or Paster or Reverant Benny Hinn is doing everything right. In fact there are a few things which I personally do not agree with. But I am the last person to say that someone cannot make mistakes. And I firmly believe that it is still better to pray for him and try and aid in the salvation of the entire world.

For all the arguments I have heard so far... only one of them is substantial, and that is which jb said that he is giving false prophecies.

As for falling in the Spirit. Seriously that is what you are worried about....
Let me tell you about a group in 1970 in the Indonisian Islands. A man named Mel Tari reported on this.
Where children walked a path to preach the gospel and was told by the Holy Spirit that they should not stop for food along the way. But on the path was a peach tree and the children got desire for it. So they thought God told them that so that they won't dirty their clothes. So they took of their clothes and ate of the peach tree. So an angel of God took their clothes and put it at the top of the tree. When they realised what happened they repented and apologised to God. So God made one of the children's hands and feet like those of a lizard and he could climb the tree to the top...got the clothes and came down and was changed back to normal. Another occurance was when one of their adult groups reached a river coming down. They had to cross it to reach another village. So the pagans on the side of the river started to mock them. But God told their leader that they must simply walk over the river. So they started walking over the river... literally stepping only in as deep as their sandals and then walked on top of the water to the other side.

And you are worried about someone falling over because the Holy Spirit comes over him. My friends... if God wished to do it... he could make it snow inside your churches just for the fun of it... that with all the doors and windows closed.

Test the fruit. Not your own fear.

A word to the wise. This man was once anointed and started out on the right path. But somewhere he got skewed from it. Just like David would not kill Saul for He said I will not touch the Lord's anointed. I will not touch him either. I will not try to destroy him, I will point out that he is obviously in error and that's all I have to say about it.
