I have a bad habit of teasing Seoul and Lynx about their 'relationship'
How can I stop???

Fasting and prayer
With emphasis on fasting.

Lord knows he was tempted to turn stones into bread. But Jesus didn't give in to eating those rock cakes.

I have a bad habit of teasing Seoul and Lynx about their 'relationship'
How can I stop???

Refraining from mentioning either of one of us in your multiple thousands of posts is a very good start.

And what you're doing isn't teasing.

It's persistently ignoring what I've told you multiple times publicly on the forum, which makes it look like you're either purposely not reading what I say, not understanding the very clear explanations I give, or are incapable of the polite courtesy of not bringing it up again.

I can't determine which one of these it is for you, or which combination it might be, so only you can determine it for yourself -- and hopefully, do something about it.

I grew up with people making statements about what they thought they knew about my life, and it's one of my biggest pet peeves. I couldn't speak up for myself much as a kid, thought I tried. Now that I'm a grown adult, I reserve the right to correct and stand up to anyone who gets it wrong, especially when I've already told that person multiple times already -- and across several years.

I learned a long time ago that if people want to ignore what I say and make themselves look like they're spreading gossip on purpose and not listening to the actual people involved that they insists on talking about, that's their own business. Maybe they don't realize they're actually revealing their true character out loud.

But I absolutely hate, detest, and abhor false accusations/information about me being spread, and most especially when I have publicly set the record straight SEVERAL TIMES, OVER SEVERAL YEARS of your posts, as you did this back when you were here before as well, and that's why I keep saying something.

Because I kept saying something back then as well -- which you obviously didn't, and apparently will never, listen to. It's all right. I'll keep debunking your persistent rumors when and if I catch them. And I hope I've built up enough well-being on this forum that other people out there will actually believe what I say.

Lynx is a great guy and, unless God says otherwise, will always be one of my lifelong friends.

For you to repeatedly saying we are dating is a disservice to him, and to me -- even if God does have someone(s) here for either Lynx or myself, he or she isn't going to want to approach either of us if they think we're already taken. Preventing either of us from meeting someone God might want us to meet isn't something to be taken lightly, but if you want that responsibility, keep right on going.

And as I've said in other posts, I know you will -- as you have for years, with no signs of ever stopping -- because that's been your pattern ever since you've been here, both before and after you came back.

I know you've been through a lot, Lanolin, and I'm truly sorry for that, but it doesn't give you the right or excuse to keep saying I'm dating Lynx or with him when I am clearly not.

And if you do this because you are lonely and wish you had a close friendship, please ask God about it.

I'll be happy to pray that you would receive one as well -- especially if it will finally get you to leave my personal life alone.

People can collectively agree on something without dating or being together.

You've made several posts since you've been back implying or downright saying Lynx and I must have at least dated, and we have repeatedly told you we have not dated, nor are we together.

To keep making these statements implies that either Lynx or I am lying, and I assure you, we have never dated. If it's one thing I can't stand, it's false accusations.

Now over the years, I've spent probably a about a month's worth of time in real life around Lynx and/or his family at various in-person meetups across the country.

But I can say that of SEVERAL CC members (many of whom aren't here anymore,) and I'm not, nor have I dated, any of THEM, either.
So... seoulsearch... What are you doing this Friday night? :-D

Oh... Not much.

You know, the usual.

Having a nice long prayer session, asking God how to deal with it when someone won't stop spreading rumors about you, especially online and in public, and most especially when you've told that person the truth of what's going on many, many times.

Shoot.

I might as well start an entire Bible study around it. And at this rate, round up a group Prayer Warrior session as well, because it's been going on for years, and obviously isn't going to stop any time soon.

I'm thinking I'll have everyone over at about 7. If that sounds like a rip-roaring good time to you...

What time should I pick you up?

I guess I should start driving now, since you live across the country!

P.S. You're in charge of bringing your world-famous chocolate chip cookies.

Everyone knows long prayer and Bible study sessions are always more effective when there's cookies. :D

What, no coffee?

Breaking Bad," ... Did anyone out there watch the show and like it?
I watched it first with my daughter as it was being doled out regular network style, and then a few times on my own through
Netflix over the years. Plus El Camino at least a couple of times. And, Better Call Saul. LOL. They were all excellent.

I seem to have given up Netflix these last few months...

You know we could double down. This Friday chat we could name the chat room "date night" or maybe "let's give them something to talk about."

What, no coffee?

Coffee will only be available for the heathens in attendance. 😇

I mean, it's going to be an EVENING Bible study and Prayer Warrior session -- we can't have anyone getting too rowdy!! :D

Then again... Maybe everyone will NEED a full boost of high octane by the time we get to the prayer! 😎

C'mon over, @NightTwister! :D

And feel free to bring at least 12 of your 240 coffee makers.:)

So... seoulsearch... What are you doing this Friday night? :-D
I like that Lynx's posts are succinct.
I can usually tell when he is joking, until I don't.
Also, he is persistent...

Just because someone has never been on a date, doesn't mean they don't want to, maybe in the future, right?
Also you can date and still be friends. It's just a friend date.

Nobody is saying when you date, it means you are in a relationship. Sometimes dates are just having fun getting to know each other without other people around. Ya know?

You can ignore me Seoul, there IS an ignore button.

It might be fun, but I will just continue to say what I think, regardless. I cannot help that Lynx jokes about you and not respond by teasing HIM. It's really not all about you please don't take it personal.

Just take a moment to breathe because I DO take a time to specifically respond to YOUR questions, rather than randomly read your titles and then just post whatever.

And we all do things that irritate each other. For a long time I had this feud with Lynx. You know that! We can joke about it now. and I am pretty sure someone, maybe not you, back in the day, were shipping me and Lynx together, and I was horrified! How is that even possible? We live in different countries!

And...

Everything I just said just got completely thrown out the window -- as could be predicted.

The thing that annoys me the most, Lanolin, is that you seem to have absolutely no insights into your own behavior, and worse yet, you have no interest in learning. Yes, we all have things to work on, including me. But you've been the same for years, and I know it won't change.

Lynx and I know where we stand as friends, have stated it many times over the years, and it's not any of your business, though you keep trying to make it so. After something like 12 years of friendship, we know a bit more about what's going on in our own lives than others do.

What really gets my fire going is, what if there's a really nice girl out there who becomes interested in Lynx?

Your persistent and blatantly false posts always make it sound like he's either with me or is going to be at any minute, and it will keep any good Christian ladies out there from taking any interest in him -- when the right one for him might very well be out there.

I KNOW I'm not the right one for him. And I shouldn't have to explain that to you or anyone else.

I can never tell if you just don't get what people say, are incapable of understanding, or just flat-out ignore what people say about themselves so that you have something to keep talking about. After watching you for years, I can only leave it up to God -- most especially if you are keeping Lynx from meeting a good woman.

It truly pains me to see -- repeatedly, over years --- that you seem to neither be capable of understanding this, nor do you care about anyone else's welfare, all in the name of being able to vent whatever is going through your mind at the time. We all do it -- it's just that you like to plow people's feelings and replies in the process.

But I know you will ignore anything I'm saying, as always, and just keep right on going, because I know that's what you always do.

I'd actually prefer it if you put me on Ignore and just went about your business, but I know you won't do that. I can't put you on Ignore if I want to keep writing threads -- experience has taught me I have to know what people are saying when writing threads. I'm at a point where I would prefer it if you wouldn't answer any of my threads, but I know that's not a reasonable request, and so round and round we'll go, for as long as we are both here.

So now the reason I keep replying to you isn't really to answer you, because I know you will ignore everything I say, but rather, it's a plea to others out there reading this to please pray with me that you, Lanolin, will eventually leave both Lynx's and my personal life alone.

And if you are preventing Lynx from meeting awesome Christian gals, especially the one God might have for him, may He be the one to tell you so -- in a way that you finally do understand.

Believe me, I wish I could. You have now earned the distinct honor of being the only current person on CC I wish I could put on Ignore. But I've found I can't Ignore anyone as long as I wish to write threads. I've watched others try to do this and to answer a thread without knowing what's really going on just makes a person sound like a moron, and I don't need to sound any more moronic than I already do!

And yes. There most definitely is a feud going on -- you've now made it between yourself and me. And no, I'm not joking about any of it.

While I do appreciate that you take the time to read and answer my threads -- the fact that you won't listen to me about my own life has me really wishing you wouldn't ever read or respond to anything I've written ever again.

I know you're now going to then say you have a right to read and reply to anything you want, to say anything you want, and will probably say something like, "Oh, so everyone else can do such and such, and everyone else's thoughts count but mine..."

But... Do carry on, Lanolin. And on, and on, and on.

Just as I know you will.

Y'know we never did completely disprove the troll theory. It would be a long time for a troll to keep an act, but I've seen somebody keep up an act for longer.

Of course it's not the most likely theory at present, but we never did totally prove it wrong....

If there's one thing I can say about Lanolin, it's that I think she is genuinely herself and who she presents herself to be. This is just me, but I personally do not believe that anything she posts is under false pretense or under any kind of false persona.

After all these years, and seeing the fact that she doesn't care what anyone thinks (which is a trait that can be both good and bad for anyone, including myself,) I don't think she would take the time or energy -- or, to be honest, put in the thought -- to just be a troll.

I believe her posts are all real-time streams of consciousness. One of her most infamous, consistent hallmarks is that she just says whatever she's thinking at the time. There's also the fact that there are so many of her posts -- it would be a full-time job to try to keep up with pretending to be someone else while saying that much.

It's certainly possible, but I don't think that applies to Lanolin.

I think she is 100% whom her posts reveal.

But, of course, I could be wrong. And Lanolin, if I AM wrong about anything I've said here, you are welcome to correct me.

I try my best to respect what others tell me about their own lives.

I won't always get it right, but I do try.

This thread now attracts me as it contains a bit of drama. For those of us here (me) who are somewhat addicted to drama threads like this have a certain sting to them. I just have to read everything to find out what is going to happen. I guess it says a whole lot about my character.😏

Cigarettes r ridiculously expensive

Not only that but they cause cancer! That will destroy the body and cause a person to die!

1 Corinthians 3:16,17
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man destroys the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

It's in our best interest to NOT defile the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Better be careful with that. You kick my cat, I'll kick you. My cat is nicer than 91% of the people I know.

I was kidding of course.

Was just thinking of the old time preachers I used to listen to in some of the church meetings I went to where the preacher would rattle off a bunch of known sins we should not be doing and would frequently add kicking cats and spitting on the side walk to get a few laughs
