So when I explain the gospel to people I have heard on more than one occasion, "well what's satans point of view?" "Why is God so mean to him?" I understand that God is 100% justified in doing whatever he darn well pleases but I also am confused as to why people think that satan is this poor picked on and persecuted being. I mean he wanted to take the place of God which is essentially like really really bad, like spiritual high treason.

How do you explain to someone that satan is the ULTIMATE EVIL? He's the one who wants to stop us from having a loving relationship with God and that's like really REALLY bad. How do I explain that God is not mean because He is just?

hasatan is responsible for death and destruction , for all lies, for all men killing other men(even in all the wars- there's no justification for the nations to go to war), for biological terror and warfare - for the killing of babies, millions of babies, maybe billions....
for the rape and pillage and torture all over the world,
for the deception of 'christians' since constantine - perverting the truth and pretending people are saved when they are not.(billions of people have been deceived completely by hasatan about their salvation, and they never seek the truth to be truly saved).

Well the name itself means "accuser" and the bible describes his ultimate work against Gods people is to accuse us before God. Now clearly he is the father of lies etc... and the lord of demons etc... But his main role against the believer who is justified by faith in Christ is to accuse us and make us doubt the salvation we have been given in the grace of God.

I think much of this has to do more with peoples view on authority and victim roles than a desire to understand. So often now people do things against the rules or the law, yet when busted and given consequences they are shocked that they have consequences.
Satan had consequences. People hate consequences, so people sympathize more and more with wrong doers than with justice. This may be the issue you're having now. People see poor Satan as the guy just doing his own thing and God is the big, bad consequence monster that didn't let him get away with him just doing what's normal for him.

God literally tells you that satan is trying to destroy you. He also never once tells us that satan ever repented to Him, and even says that he and his followers are "walking into their own destruction" and that when God gives him back his power in the end times, that he will immediately use it against us. He accuses you day and night, he is called angry, violent and delights in wickedness. He has lied to man over and over all in an attempt to bring us into doom as well. He said he would over throw God, who created him with love, and even celebrated his creation, and gave him the gift of great wisdom and set him in a high place, and take his place all because he wanted what God had.

Why would you feel bad for him?

The world has perverted who satan is. Instead of seeing him as what we are taught of him, a being who desired to steal what God had, he has been turned into a being who "questioned" Gods "selfish" will and is trying to "enlighten" you to the truth. Haha no where did the bible ever say this : p We are told that he gathered other angels, Gods children, and convinced them that they could take what their loving creator had, and literally threatened to take it from Him. But people in todays world call him the first free thinker. I dont know how that could be called free thinking.

Because humans are incredibly gullible and satan convinces them he is persecuted because wants people to follow him

Truth is available only to those who have the courage to question whatever they think they know.

Mark 7:34 “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”

what verse is it that states that even we ekklesia, born again ones, set apart to yahweh in yahshua, all once BELIEVED SATAN?

(yes, we ALL once believed satan.... and did what he said to do, instead of what yahweh(god) says to do)....

remember the verse ? (or verses) .... ...

just a tidbit that shows how gullible all people are, and how guilty and in need of the savior messiah yahshua(yahweh's salvation)

Yeah Satan seems rather vindictive and relentless, and is shown as one betting against you before God in relation to God (just as he is shown doing in Job) and is always thinking of ways to get you to curse God for the troubles he is at times permitted to inflict.

Just as he was permitted to do so Job (after God dropped his hedge of protection around Job) and allowed certain aspects of Jobs life to be touched through a manifold of temptation to Satan's desired effect.

He still had to ask permisssion for that (but a thus far and no further is issued) or as God will not allow you to be tempted above that which ye are able. Seems to show these things come to try our faith even as the trying of our faith worketh patience (just as it says, Behold "the patience of" Job) we count them happy who endure.

Jesus also informs Simon of Satans desire to have him to sift him as wheat, this pertains to the trying of our faith as that is exactly what Jesus prayed for in Simon (that your faith fail not)

Theres so many awesome things to see in the scriptures concerning temptations and sifting, and the trying of our faith, and all of that, its a worth while study thats for sure.

Jesus Christ. Him Crucified.

Satan was Lucifer the anointed Cherub that Covereth...He Got in his mind that he could usurp the throne of Jesus (God) and exalt himself above God to be worshipped as God....he was cast out of heaven and in his fallen state is no known as the Devil, Satan, the dragon, the tempter and accuser of the brethren....his destiny is the lake of fire to be tormented for all eternal ages.....!

If they ask, invite them to church and make arrangements with someone at your fellowship to answer that for them. Perhaps they will hear the gospel and God will do a work in their heart. Our vocation as believers is to be a soul winner (Prov 11:30) and this would be a good way for to hear.

We don't have to believe in satan, in fact, one of his best tricks was to convince the world he doesn't exist. All satan really wants is to make sure we don't believe in God. And he'll do that in whatever ways he can, including garnering sympathy from gullible humans.

Solomon under inspiration said there is a time for war and a time for peace......do you actually believe the bible?
David prayed to God under inspiration and asked for God to teach his hands to war...
The book of Joshua is all about war and conquest as directed by God

Your all inclusive statement above misses the mark!

You know sometimes I am called to go to the deathbed of a nonbeliever? Many of them are more aware of the devil and demons and such than they are of God...often many of them have seen demons or whatever. I often reason with them that they have seen the evil and know its real, that they should open their mind to the truth that there is a good God.

I have heard stories of people going out screaming and writhing in pain screaming help me help me I am on fire as they take their last breath (unbelievers) while believers go out in peace, often seeing relatives and with a smile on their face......

the only ones who don't believe in hasatan are the ones who are deceived into thinking he doesn't exist (like you said 'a trick').

and the bible says clearly he is the father of lies, and he comes only to kill, to steal and to destroy.(i.e. not just cause unbelief).

he doesn't care at all about anyone's sympathy. he loves causing anger, hate, bitterness, and unjustifiable war, and unjustifiable trust in anything not god.(i.e. idolatry, witchcraft, disobedience to god, selfishness, etc etc etc).

Leave Satan out of your conversations and start showing and teaching about the Love of God...start reading and soaking in 1 John, then spread love.

The Bible says it is God's goodness that leads men to repentance and that by mercy and truth iniquity is purged.
