I love Christmas. Too bad we're never getting any snow![]()
We (Vermont) had no snow for Christmas, and hardly any snow all winter last year..
I find it incredibly ironic that you chose the name of a wizard that practices magic and witchcraft as your screen name, yet lecture others for handing out candy to trick or treaters.
Not at all saying there is something wrong with reading/watching the LOTR. Just have a little issue with judging others.
Holidays means more work when you're a cop lol.
Do you see more crimes happen around the holidays, Susanna?
This is a video about one preachers experiences with halloween that Demi sent me, I hope you don't mind me referencing it Demi, but I think it's worth a watch.

One of the most influential reality sobering points he made was this: "people need to be entertained" he was referring to members of Christs church and why some chose to do a 'christian' version of halloween. He then goes on to illustrate how He has the cross and he doesn't need that kind of entertainment. His testimony is spiritually enlightening and educative on the matter.

I watched a John Ramirez video earlier today, actually. Informative. Wish more people cared for the revelation.

Nah Snow sucks, I hate shoveling and it gets dirty, hard and icy in 3 days and makes the streets so uneasy to walk through.

Snook I am not trying to force anything down anyones throat. sigh. You know me well enough that I am not like that. I just state what I believe and what the bible says. I do feel like I gotta show bible verses because I dont wanna stand before Jesus one say asking me why I didnt, when I could have.
Its on each individual to do make their decision. Dont make me worse than I am now. Ive stated dozens of times ''but if you feel okay and righ with it, do it''![]()
I would say that it is definitely ok for a Christian to feel uneasy about people celebrating Halloween. Getting to far into the celebration...
But for your kids or grandkids to dress up as mickey mouse and knock on peoples doors to get candy... I am not uneasy about that in the slightest. Its just a fun thing for kids to do.
Now when grown people do it... that starts to get weird. For me. But what does the bible say?
Romans 14:22-23
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Definitely share that sentiment, God can change anything. Glad you enjoyed the resource, Demi pointed it out to me, so glad she did, all credit goes to her.

I celebrate both Christmas and Resurrection Sunday ( Easter) and have posted my reasons and thoughts on another thread. I don't find your posts offensive. I think you are just sharing your views and reasons for abstaining.
Well nor did I think that people get offended until ladybug told me I am. And by now I am so tired of seeing everyone who disagrees and shows bible verses gets called a hipocret. If its about OSAS and all that NO ONE gets mad about verses! As soon as it comes to celebrations and stuff people call you names and go mad. everywhere where people may get out of their routine and comfort zone and may agree or disagree, your called a hipocret.
Thanks for stepping up for me sis.
