Lets look at it a different way.

1. God loves me and has promised to give me everything I need.
2. I Trust God. thus am thankfull for whatever I have.
3. What God has given me He wants me to use to bless and love others.
4. I will use what God has given me to do what he desires.

now comes the question. Why do I need to know. "thou shalt not steel" in this senerio to even follow it? I don't need it. I don't have to follow it. And it would not help me anyway, All it could do is keep my mind on self. and anytime we do this, Temptation is sure to follow. as our minds are taken off God and others, and placed on self.

I would not even be tempted to steel. Because I trust god.. That is called the law of faith and following the spirit.

in other words, the law of faith and following the spirit is NOT do not steel. The law of faith and spirit is God will take care of ALL my needs..
exactly.. that is what fulfillment mean who would dare think to steal or kill or do anything against his neighbor when they are in Christ? that is what renewing of our nature means the law is fulfilled in us it's planted in our hearts and mind, law of righteousness, that is why all that is required of us is to love and live by faith and keep on looking in God's direction so we can be led by the spirit

What would ya'all say if I told you there was a law of cleansing in Leviticus chapter 14, that relates directly to the cleaning power, and the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ?

This whole thing boils down to the 4th commandment. Some people just can't see how faith and love fulfill its requirements.

What would ya'all say if I told you there was a law of cleansing in Leviticus chapter 14, that relates directly to the cleaning power, and the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ?

There's all kinds of stuff like that in Leviticus. All of it is no longer applicable except for instructional purposes. The reality is Christ.

would it change the example of what I showed above?

Again, Why do I need the law which says do not steel. If I trust God completely in all my life?

I don't. It can not help me not to steel now can it?

The thing is, are your fixated on the spirit of the law, or the letter?
This is the problem in a nutshell. Fixation on one aspect of God's word. Our modern man is fixed on the spirit of the law, and it is good to know it is first. But if the spirit of the law does no lead to the law it is useless. In fact it kills, just as surely as law without the spirit. Saying it replaces law instead of leading to it is what the devil has used to lead the churches into accepting sin of its members as normal.

Question: How will I know what to do if I don't have the law to guide me?

Answer: Listen to and obey the spirit instead of the flesh and you won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh which cause you to violate the law.

I don't think there is a more confused person on this forum than yourself. What you say makes absolutely no sense.

When you toss off the God as explained in Leviticus you are tossing off understanding of Christ. Christ explains that is many verses.

God created you, God is the power of our world, God means eternal life. God the Father and God the Son are one. You are not the power, you are one of God's children. You sound very high handed with God's word calling it "all kinds of stuff like that".

what? how can the spirit of the law kills? lol, you have no idea what the fulfillment of the law is do you? the spirit of the law is the righteousness of christ that changes us, this statement is just all over the place

Do you think that a human person who has never heard anything of the written scripture, only told that God created him and Christ died for his sins, would know all about scripture without ever hearing or reading a word of scripture? We have a conscious, he would have some leadings, but you are saying that all scripture about it is useless? That cannot be, for God gave us scripture.

You say that you have no understanding of that sin leads to death. Or any understanding of the need to learn what God says of how the law of love is to be acted out. You need time on your knees before God, and time with His word.

There's all kinds of stuff like that in Leviticus. All of it is no longer applicable except for instructional purposes. The reality is Christ.

If it isn't applicable, then what's the purpose of God preserving it for us? Or do you think that when we are born again and are Christians that we don't need information to die daily, and understand a more profound meaning to picking up our cross and following Him? Or are we just supposed to neglect it as past and make up our own rules? Keep in mind that until Jesus gave Himself for us and died, that all His teachings were still Old Testament, because the New didn't happen until His death. I think I'll post it anyway, for others to read, even though I know you're not interested in the comparisons. I thought it interesting because it shows me that God's plan in every detail is that Christ would complete what God set in motion from the very beginning. With that said, contrary to your saying that the law is nothing but condemnation, I differ with you, in that it clarifies restoration also. It's only condemnation if one rejects the Spirit of truth in it and does the opposite of the direction, motivation, and persuasion that it defines. May God bless you brother.

Leviticus 14:36-57 (KJV)
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
[SUP]37 [/SUP]And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;
[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;
[SUP]40 [/SUP]Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:
[SUP]41 [/SUP]And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place:
[SUP]42 [/SUP]And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.
[SUP]43 [/SUP]And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered;
[SUP]44 [/SUP]Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.
[SUP]45 [/SUP]And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.
[SUP]46 [/SUP]Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.
[SUP]47 [/SUP]And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.
[SUP]48 [/SUP]And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.
[SUP]49 [/SUP]And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
[SUP]50 [/SUP]And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:
[SUP]51 [/SUP]And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:
[SUP]52 [/SUP]And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:
[SUP]53 [/SUP]But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.
[SUP]54 [/SUP]This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,
[SUP]55 [/SUP]And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,
[SUP]56 [/SUP]And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot:
[SUP]57 [/SUP]To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

Verse 37 and 44

This scripture has been very uplifting to me, explaining a restoration after having been given the gift of faith. To me, it explains how the high Priest (Christ Jesus) has the power to clean the house (me) after welcoming Him in, to see the corruption of my fleshly nature, with vacant holes that need to be filled.
Verse 38

There were 7 days between Jesus entering Jerusalem, and His resurrection, 7 being the number, or letter “Zayin” (completeness) relating to food and nourishment, being the picture of a mattock (in the Hebrew pictorial) that prepares the ground, or heart. Relate to the parable of the sower and the seed.

Verse 40

Jesus was taken outside the city walls and killed with our unclean iniquity inside of Him.
Verse 41 and 45

He will take corruption away, in the process as He determines, on the cross outside the city walls.

Verse 46 and 47 compared with Paul’s writings

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Verse 48 and 52

He will baptize me and pronounce me clean before the Father.
Verse 49 and 51

Cedar wood=known for it’s strength and deep root, even though the cross was Dogwood as I understand, and it doesn’t rot as other woods do.
Scarlet=blood
Hyssop=it is mentioned in Psalm 51 of the Bible as a Spiritual Purifying Agent, as it is written: Cleanse me with HYSSOP; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Verse 50

His flesh shall be the sacrifice of cleansing.

Verse 53
The living bird is likened unto the scapegoat in Leviticus 16:8 (Az’azel)

Even though I know I see very little of the entire picture God is showing to me, this law has been uplifting to me, being a believer in Christ Jesus, knowing he continues to clean me up, when I confess my sinful nature. It helps me to see, and understand what dying daily means. May God bless you with these thoughts that are so deep and profound.

The new testament of christ makes the old testament no longer in effect
Are you saying that Christ wiped out the Father? Or repeating scripture that Christ is the real blood and we are the real temple the OT is telling about? Is God the Father and His principles no longer in effect? Why do you think God gave us the thousands of years of preparation for the crucifixion of Christ? Do you actually think that you can declare that it was to no effect?

God spent thousands of years on us before Christ lived as a man, and scripture telling us about it. After Christ, God spent only a span of less than a 100 years telling us about that. How can you say the thousands of years are no longer in effect?

Good point. If scripture, from the beginning, wasn't needed to instruct us into salvation, we wouldn't know what Spirit to test, and find out if it was the Spirit of truth or not.

1 John 4:1-2 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

I believe, and I read in the law and the prophets that Jesus was coming in the flesh. To know we are following the right path, we must have something to compare it to. Jesus even said that about Himself.

John 5:31 (KJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP]If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2 Corinthians 10:12-13 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

i said the old testament..stop falsely accusing me of something i didn't say, and the old testament being moses and the laws is no longer in effect and all that comes with that, why do you think they have a new testament in the first place? to make the old old, but it appears you are still under the old testament since your still trying to hold on to it, that means you don't understand the new testament

The new testament of christ makes the old testament no longer in effect

Need to be careful about saying what you did, because according to scripture Christ's teaching before His death was all Old testament. If what you said could possibly be true (but thank God it isn't) All of what Jesus taught before His death on the cross would have no effect. Think about a last will and testament when you talk about the Old and New Testament. Read this scripture real close and then describe the truth of what you are really trying to say brother.

Hebrews 9:15-17 (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

The 10 commandments were the ministry of condemnation and death. I didn't say it; Paul did...

But if the ministry of death in letters carved on stone [i.e. the 10 commandments] came with glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look intently into the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, which was transitory, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be even more with glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, by much more will the ministry of righteousness overflow with glory. 2 Corinthians 3:7-9

do you even know what the old testament and the new testament is? i will explain the scripture what you just showed me is saying Christ is the mediator of the new testament, the new testament is through him, and what you enlighten in bold is saying the testament will have no strength if the testator living, what is your point in showing me this?
