I stick close to the Ecumenical Creeds. They unify the church for all time. And I steer clear of anything not aligned with them.

I don't. They define what scripture teaches for unity sake.
I agree on the earlier ones. The later ones not so much

Do you agree that things like Apostle's creed and nicene creed are great?

The creeds are simply summations of what Christians believe. However, Jesus said "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN" and the creeds do not say that.

Furthermore, the creeds are interpreted according to the belief of particular churches. The Roman Catholic interpretation of "the Holy Catholic Church" is not the same as that of the Protestants, who came out of the Catholic Church.

Not all evangelical (Bible-believing and Gospel preaching) Christians regard themselves as Protestants.

The Protestant churches are (a) Reformed (b) Presbyterian (c) Lutheran, and (d) Anglican. Methodists and Episcopalians came out of the Anglican churches.

Reformed Baptists is somewhat of a misnomer, since Baptistic churches existed long before the Reformation. However, it is true that some Baptist groups hold to Five Point Calvinism (which is false teaching). And Lutherans are closer to the Catholics than to the Presbyterians. The point is that "denominations" and "Protestant" go hand in hand.

Protestants are just a spin-off of Roman Catholicism, they carried out many erroneous doctrines from them. Antichrist had Christianity perverted all the way back to the Nicene Creed. A pagan Roman Emperor called for that Council and oversaw its directives. Throw off all that traditional doctrine and learn of the true Christ. 6-old-thumbsup.gif

You have made some good points but please never lose sight of love for all people, even if you believe their sin is worse than your own for if this is the case you have passed from loving enemy and friend alike to being a judge of all…. All love and blessings in our Lord, Jesus, Yeshua, ..

Your snippy little comments add little to the conversation and, like this one, are often confrontational. How about offering some interaction instead of pith.

Right now the pope is accepting all ways to heaven

Jesus said the narrow road was difficult and few fund it

What we have with America is it popular to have what ever you want...just do it.

You see God will only let a few in to heaven...the false churches and isms will not be in heaven

But America decided we don't want friction so everything is ok now...we new better before.. But now people want Osteen etc...and so they will have riches and lies and hell

The narrow road I know well and I like it...TV is a waste if time...so really the planet us in wickedness and God will end it and it will love the Antichrist...and the devil as more and more are going directly to him now

The way us paved for him

Time to hate and I do...and God loves me for it

The easiest way to distinguish the true from the false....what do they peddle or proclaim about salvation.......if the root is corrupt the whole tree is corrupt....when the correct message of salvation is skewed, twisted or embellished it VOIDS the power of the message......and the truth....MOST corrupt and or embellish the message.

False religion is idolatry
Cults are lies and not denominations...and are also idolatry
And the denominations divide the Church and many lies are held in the dif churches
As we see in this site...totally opposite views are held... confusion... And it's not God

The dif churches keep to themselves to protect all the lies

In the NT there were not denominations just the church at a city or area and they for the most part shared everything
Now we have so much division and so people are told to to church on Sunday That's what God wants like people in the NT were told to go to the temple

But those who got rejected and followed Christ and the apostles got saved

It's interesting that in 2 letters in Rev 2 and 3...that Smryna and Philly don't have to repent...but they are both warned of the synagogue of Satan lol..the Jews

You learn the whole Bible as it is...the temple lies and corruption (Sunday morning milk) just won't do

How much time have you spent studying the Creeds?

The Creeds know what the bible says through centuries of debate with heretics. They unify the Church in answer to Jesus' prayer for unity. Many Churches today are pretty far off course if you compare them to what the early church believed spelled out in the creeds. Especially the popular ones.
