What to do: Post the name of 1 to 3 of your favorite Christian organizations. Preferably include why they are your favorite / how they impacted your life.

Explanation: Having benefitted in my own spiritual walk from several God-honoring organizations and knowing the incredible help many of them supply (spiritually, emotionally, physically), I thought it could be edifying for us to share on the subject. The intent of this thread is to point people to organizations that will benefit them and benefit others all while exalting God. This thread is intended to be positive, not disparaging.

The Bible is replete with examples of God using people to reach other people constructively. The definition of "organization" is "an organized body of people with a particular purpose." Hopefully, the objective of all Christian organizations is to reach people constructively in the glorious name of Christ Jesus, thereby glorifying God.

Repeated postings of same organizations by different individuals are appropriate, especially if the "why" is given in each post.

So! I'll start. 🙂

1) Voice of the Martyrs
Because I have been inspired time and again by true stories of suffering, sacrifice, and faithfulness to do what Jesus spoke of in Luke 9:23-26. AND because persecuted brothers and sisters are aided in many ways.

2) Bible Study Fellowship
Because the Bible is deeply, respectfully studied and discussed. Truth is made known. Lives are purified. God has revealed or reiterated so much to me thru my involvement.

I hope you are encouraged by this thread! God bless.

1) SPCA they care for animals and take action to prevent cruelty. Have adopted pets from them. Also reported animal cruelty and they have taken the abusers to account.

2) Bibles in schools teache bibles in schools and reach out to children who may never have heard of the Bible or Jesus. Also Gideons give out free Bibles. Totally impacted my life.

3) mercy Hospice...provide families that have member dying free care and dying with dignity. The floral circle do arrangements for them and meals and wheels. One of the church memebers died of cancer he was young and the hospice took care of everything in his last days.

Revive our Hearts
I've read some of the radio transcriptions online and have listened to Mrs. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth on radio and have really been challenged to a more committed devotion to Christ thru this ministry. Also, Mrs. Nancy's book Lies Women Believe and subsequent other editions have brought the realization to the fore in my mind that Satan is the deceiver and we must learn to recognize his deceptions and ploys.

Carrol Roberson Ministries makes some lovely music! It's so tranquil and Mr. Roberson is so nice to listen to. His music has blessed me for years.

Also, American Family Radio is a great organization standing up for Biblical values. (It was there that I first listened to the wise and Biblically knowledgable Alex McFarland.)

Hmmmm.... for some reason it’s hard for me to think of some...Oh!

1) Family Life Radio. They reach a bunch of people for the gospel, and I’ve enjoyed not only they're choice of music but also the Bible teachings they have on the show. They have Focus on the Family, Intentional Living, stuff with Ravi Zacherias. Awesome stuff.

2) Adult and Teen Challenge: a Christian organization that helps teens and adults with addictions. Teach hope, and give great tools to continue in life.

3) Rock of Israel: they are actually and awesome ministry of Messianic Jews trying to reach both Jews and Gentiles about Jesus. They do it in a great non confrontational way by selling items of Jewish heritage at the fairs in the US and Canada.

Speaking of Ravi Zacharias! Have you heard of the late Nabeel Qureshi!? Wow, I watched a youtube video about his life after he died and that touched me SO much..was crying tears.
I've never heard of Rock of Israel! Cool. I attended a Messianic Jewish synagogue/church a few times and that was a neat experience. I've been a part of Jews for Jesus. One of their people came and did a Passover presentation at our church one time.

I have thought about potentially being apart of prison ministry in the future. Hebrews 13:3 "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them..."

Along with other orgs mentioned as Voice of the Martyrs, i appreciate FEBC. FEBC-PH now has 11 stations, with 7 heard online.

The first time i heard a program in a local station was when i was in college. After i had my family, it's been a constant companion at home, when i listened to many teachings at night (instead of watching tv=)). With news, medical info, Christian and classical music, evangelism, discipleship in abt 30 (local) languages in a predominantly Catholic country, their counseling programs have also been very helpful in teaching how to handle various situations in life.

I understand it has 2 international shortwave broadcast facilities w/c broadcast programs in more than 60 languages and dialects to China and Southeast Asia for 36 hours, even just for abt 30 minutes daily. No commercials too!

An old article: https://www.febc.org/delivering-radios-delivering-hope
