John 7:6-10
6 Then Jesus said to them: My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth: because I give testimony of it, that the works thereof are evil. 8 Go you up to this festival day, but I go not up to this festival day: because my time is not accomplished. 9 When he had said these things, he himself stayed in Galilee. 10 But after his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but, as it were, in secret.

John 15:16-20
16 You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go, and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another. 18 If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you. 19 If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.
If they refuse to acknowledge He is the truth, they will not be saved. Christ died for our sin, not our salvation. His death does not automatically save people but it does remove the barrier of sin for all so that no-one has an excuse. Now the question of "who do you say I am?" can be answered without disqualification because of sin. One either answers "you are Lord and Saviour or go to hell".

Jesus died for all people. But salvation demands faith in who Christ is and what Christ has done. If they reject/hate Jesus then they will go to Hell and eventually the Lake of Fire.
