Did Jesus Shed His Blood For Retained Sins (Unremitted Sins)?

What I meant was, every sin you commited as a child did you list them all independently and go through each one, do you think that should matter.


So let's say for arguments sake a man who gets saved at 30 years old and from the age of accountability say 11 years old to 30 years old, how many sins do you think he never asked for forgiveness for, should he list them all independently, and go through each one, does he know he's truly forgiven if he just says forgive me for my sins.

What I did was simply ask Jesus for forgiveness for all the sins that I may have committed. I'm sure that his list is more accurate than mine.

Yep the idea was how can you be sure he doesn't forgive unremitted sins, when we can't even be sure if we have included all our sins when he asked for forgiveness, I guess if and when a person is genuine about repentance, and hes asking for forgiveness on the bases of Godly sorrow on his heart, then the lord has searched the heart for all his sins, but hasn't made compulsory that you list every sin individually, meaning you have unremitted sins you have been forgiven for.

The problem is the OP understands neither what Scripture says about the forgiveness of sin, nor what “unremitted” means.

I believe that is exactly what happens, namely Godly sorrow of the heart that the Lord has searched for.

That is definitely what happens. You might feel guilty and say that you're sorry over and over, but God wouldn't know what you are talking about since he remembers your sins no more.

If the blood of Christ was shed only for remitted sin, then no one could be saved.

Tell me how many of your sins were current when Jesus died. Jesus died for all the sin of all mankind or no one could be forgiven. Jesus said, "Tedeleski" i.e. "It is finished". Tedeleski was written on certificates of debt when they were paid in in full. Since all the sin of man was laid on Him, all sin is forgiven, from Adam to the last sin ever committed by anyone. There are no unremitted sins. Only those who refuse to accept the gift of God in Christ remain unforgiven. Jesus does not die every time someone confesses a sin. And that is what you imply.

May I respectfully suggest that you discuss subjects that you know something about before exposing your ignorance. Forgiveness of sin is not on that subject list.
