Hello everyone,

I'm an young woman and I'm single now. After my studies I found I job I really like (it's law related). My "problem" is that the salary is way above average for a normal starting salary, and I'm scared I'll meet a great man and then he wouldn't want to be with me because my salary is probably going to be higher than his and perhaps he thinks men should provide and be the primary income. (I don't have a problem being with a man who has a lower income btw)

Do a lot of guys view it like this and what do I do?

Yea, well I earned a low salary and men aren't interested in me either. Oh wait a minute it wasn't even a salary. It was wages.
So you doing better than most. Seems like a first world problem to me?

Why would you do anything anyway, its stupid to quit a well paying job you like just because a potential man you like might have a lower income than you. Yes stupid!! Just keep on with your job. Nobody is saying you have to share it or give it all to him unless you WANT to. That's what separate bank accounts are for.

Take a deep breath. There's a whole lot more to relationship than who makes how much money. Just decide now that you aren't going to be the kind of date that uses salary as a measuring stick or spends large amounts of money trying to look rich. And if he brings it up early on, just say something like you have enough for your needs and most of your wants. Because these days guys are probably seeing a whole lot more of the spoiled princess I want you to make a lot of money so I can spend it type women than reasonable responsibke women. We can't guarantee that you won't meet a guy who can't cope with your salary, but pretty sure there aren't enough out there to seriously damage your chances of finding someone to marry.

Hello everyone,

I'm an young woman and I'm single now.
So what is your cut-off salary for potential suitors? IOWs do you have any income or job history standards for the men who may be interested in courtship? Your reproductive window is ticking if you want children and females are pushed to get college degrees spending their reproductive yrs sitting on their backsides being brainwashed by left wing Professors. Then they reach their 30s and compete with 20-something females for alpha males.

After my studies I found I job I really like (it's law related).
Student loan debt? Do you own property?

Actually it can be a problem for men being at a financial disadvantage increases the already high risk of marriage. Disposable husbands and no-fault divorce and all that. You are also risking losing your property in a divorce. Hope it works out for you. Actually my income dropped and am paying less taxes as a result than in my high-income years. Of course, in my high-income years, money was spent on lawyers and child support from divorce, so that wiped me out. Single and happy now. High income can be mitigated by where you live since it is far more expensive in some places than others.

For all I care, a woman could be earning seven figures more than me, but as a recipient of the free gift which required a priceless sacrifice, I would know exactly what I was bringing to the table.

A woman who earns more perishable wealth than her man just needs to understand that as her income increases, so does her capacity and responsibility to provide for the less fortunate.

Generosity and a heart of service should take precedence over who earns what. The man should always bring the money management though.

Reproductive window haha...just get knocked up. Thats what competitive women do. You want an alpha male don't you. It's a sport!

This is what rich people do, buy TWO houses on two property titles, so, in a divorce or separation you can just live separately and don't have to break up your home by selling or divide your property. You just use one as a pied a terre or holiday home or something.

If you are poor you just find a place to rent that you can afford. Affluenza won't affect you

Welp once again my romantic prospects are doomed, gonna be a long time before I find a man who manages his money more rigorously than I do.
I guess your emotional availability and accessibility will depend on the discount rate? Not to worry. Romance is optional, income is mandatory!

What are these emotion thingies you speak of?
Managing money will do that to you.

Calculating costs, tracking numbers, automating bills. No place for sentiment, just cold decisions determined by monetary outlay. Not many women about who use logic, data, and emotional detachment to make choices.

I'm glad you're Christian, because I'm forced to accept that you must be an exception to the rule, and not just some confused dude who thinks he's a woman trapped in a man's body.

Lol!

I've had the honor of spending time in real life with The Infamous Cinder over several meetups.

Don't tell her that I spilled this top secret information, but I know the real way to her heart.

It involves furry ears, four paws, and a healthy bark... 🐕

But don't tell her I said anything. 😬😎🤐

P.S. Some of my most favorite conversations with Cinder are about her work in worldwide missions, the state of the church today And how it treats singles, the callings we believe God has us in right now, and responsible money management. 🤓

I think that the 'problem' that you have is a good one to have. Nowadays, it takes two incomes to survive. You find the right guy and he will have absolutely no problem with your problem.

Definitely a safe pair of hands. You've completely disarmed me now. Probably for the best if Cinder's that notorious! 😇

is that like hyperbole since women earning seven figures is a rarity. Feel free to look it up.

but as a recipient of the free gift which required a priceless sacrifice, I would know exactly what I was bringing to the table.
Don't keep us in suspense, what do you bring to the table?

A woman who earns more perishable wealth than her man just needs to understand that as her income increases, so does her capacity and responsibility to provide for the less fortunate.
By marrying down and bearing his children? Alpha females and beta males? Is that the priceless sacrifice?

Generosity and a heart of service should take precedence over who earns what.
Give till it hurts? I would counter with start a business and provide jobs so the less fortunate earns their pay. Like my local Walmart hires disabled persons. Some as greeters

The man should always bring the money management though.
So if you marry a millionaire female you will manage her finances. That is big of you, but one has to wonder what her parents would say about this arrangement? I know what i would say.

Scripture teaches man to lead in marriage setting. So if husband is a good leader, usually he is more intelligent than the wife, generally speaking, or at least not less intelligent. If wife is dominant in financial, that can throw off the family balance.

Don't need to. It was deliberate exaggeration to emphasise my point.

Don't keep us in suspense, what do you bring to the table?
I'd never tell if I thought the suspense might actually kill you.

I'm not fishing for women who are looking for material wealth. I bring nothing of financial note to their table, that I get. But for those women who are set down at the mercy seat, they would see the Head of the table who brought me to them. He is the Alpha, and their currency is Faith.

By marrying down and bearing his children? Alpha females and beta males? Is that the priceless sacrifice?
What does God want from a man, his faith or the contents of his wallet? Without faith, a man cannot engage in Kingdom transactions. Even without money, a man can participate in material exchanges. Bartering etc.

Is my standing in God's sight defined by whether or not my earthly net worth is more than a woman's? Unless I'm mistaken, His economy relies on stewardship and faithfulness. The true measure is not how much you earn, but how you use what is entrusted to you.

Give till it hurts? I would counter with start a business and provide jobs so the less fortunate earns their pay. Like my local Walmart hires disabled persons. Some as greeters
No problem with that. A handout can alleviate an immediate crisis, but employing someone promotes personal responsibility and could have a lasting impact. With that being said, God loves a cheerful giver. Being generous with our time and assistance to help carry burdens is just as consequential as financial aid.

So if you marry a millionaire female you will manage her finances. That is big of you, but one has to wonder what her parents would say about this arrangement? I know what i would say.
Finances would be ours. You know, what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine.

Not something you'll ever have to worry about. If you have daughters, I'm sure you brought them up right, to pursue men with an entrepreneurial mindset above all else.

Toodle pip.

There is a deep down instinct in men to be the breadwinner. God created us that way, like it or not. That instinct can be overridden. I knew a successful contractor who had to close his business due to health issues. His wife kept working. He struggled with that for some time, but came to accept it.

I suggest that you do not preempt what might happen. Enjoy the blessing of your job now. A man so egotistical as to resent your job may not be so great after all. I imagine that many women would be happy to have a "problem" like you have.
