I believe that ghosts exist, yes. But my view is based on the Bible-

(From Luke 11)
23 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ 25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”

Spirits exists, yes. And that includes our own spirits. And I believe that those who are not saved are left here until the day of judgement.

As for like, the ghosts that interact with us, through mediums and ghost hunters and the like? Absolutely not. We already know that fallen angels interact with us daily to lead us away from God. God tells us not to communicate with the dead, that such things are an abomination. Satan gives us false signs and wonders to lead us away from God, and I believe that "ghost hunting" is no different from anything else he does.
 
I do think that sometimes ghosts, as in people, get to interact with the living... but only rarely and under circumstances I don't know.

But all of the ghostly paranormal activity that's so popular is demonic. And demons do haunt houses FYI.

I spent the night at a friend's apartment for the first time one night and she didn't say a word to me but I figured out on my own we weren't alone. The rat grabbed my leg and swung it to the side while I was trying to sleep. -_- It wouldn't let up so I kept vigil all night, praying over the family and myself. The next morning, she told me that she and everyone had the most peaceful sleep they ever had in that apartment then cautiously told me about how she had a pastor over to cleanse their home because she thought it was haunted. I was like, yeah, I know. I prayed. (I was a smidgen grouchy because demonic activity angers me and I missed out on the peaceful sleep part.)

The reason why I'm sharing is because too many people are attacked and don't defend themselves. And don't rely on holy water and crosses, those things have significance by association but at the end of the day... holy water didn't win the war, God did.

I just BARELY believe all the people in this forum are real.




Guess I'm just a natural skeptic.

Yes, how do we know for sure that people on the other end are not ghosts?

Maybe ghosts are communicating through the internet?

I have seen so many posts here that can't be human.

And why does post rhyme with ghost?

No I don't believe in Ghosts. That is the view of Ghosts in our modern cultural thought or of old folklore.

The idea that dear old aunt betsy has come to give us some message to say she is ok or to make mischief around the house, comes from evil itself. Those who are in Christ who die go to be with Him (2 Cor 5:6-8), those unsaved to a temporary holding place( glimpses of this can be seen in Luke 16:19-27 , Hades (OT Sheol) the place of the dead) At the final Judgment they will be cast into the lake of fire Rev 20:14-15).

We have to remember that Satan is a deceiver. The deception is that there is no heaven or hell, we just die and our spirits or resemblances float around earth..doing what we please. Those who proclaim to speak to these spirits are really just dealing with demons (fallen angels). Remember that demons probably know you better than you know yourself after all they have been watching you/us since we were born. Thats how at seances etc the so called 'dear aunt betsy' can tell you things from beyond the grave.. Just remember that this sort of thing is sorcery and witchcraft and condemned in scripture.

Demon possession or control of a living being is a different matter altogether, but remember a demon can never possess a Christian - The Holy Spirit is greater than they. Anyhow thats a different topic.
