Well, Jesus claimed some of God's titles. And if He claimed one, He is, and can claim them all.

very much alot highly excellent spiritual bible based scripture truth.....amen..........

It depends on the language. In Greek, Latin, and English, Jesus Christ is God. In Hebrew, Yeshua HaMessiach is not Yahweh (Jehovah), or Elohim, and that's all the words they have. He is however Adonai (Lord) but that is a role, not a title specific to God. He is also Beni-haElohim, or son of God. That's why your Scriptures can be interpreted either way.

Yes of course..JESUS is God. So is God, and so is the Holy Spirit. God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Language has nothing to do with it. I know the point you are making, but Jesus didn't claim to be
God. What He claimed was "He gives Living Water", "He is the Good Shephard", etc,....all titles of
Jehovah in the OT. He also ruled over the wind and sea, which is also a title of Jehovah.
He claimed Jehovah's titles. And if He can claim the titles of Jehovah..........

I'd like to see a couple of the verses where those titles are in the OT. The Jews have a prayer of 50 titles of God they recite in modern synagogues, and I do not remember seeing anything like the examples you give in there. I'm wondering about to what extent God actually calls Himself those things, or they are just implied by events.

Absolutely. But not the way most people think.

Yeshua: visible
Set Apart Spirit: comprehend-able
YHWH: beyond comprehension or visibility

think of it like a cone that never comes to a final point - instead of a "trinity."
Yeshua being the base of the cone, YHWH being the "point"

From the Prophet of the Old Testament, YES, Yeshua is Yahweh, God, amen. Either believe Yahweh, or do not, but do not change His Word to satisfy an itching ear. Perhaps everyone who was ever in doubt should learn about the One they claim to love from the writings about Him, the prophets and the law.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Some references that seem to fit the request.

One Old Testament reference to God as the Living Waters.

Jer 2:13
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Here are several references to God as the Shepherd. He would be Good, because He is always good.

Isa 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. +

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Gen 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

There are more, but this is where I stopped looking. He is so good all of the time. Yahweh, God, bless you and hold you close forever, amen.

I believe there is but One God and He only has authority and power over all. I do not believe God will ever make any other God. I believe there is only One Lord unto all that are under His rule by principality, power, dominion and authority

Colossians 2:9-10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

I believe no one can forgive a mans sins except God who declares all sin to be sin and holds all accountable for sin they have.

Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Isaiah 43:25
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Isaiah 44:2-3
Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
John 20:28
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

John 20:29
Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."

I believe since there is only God who can forgive my sins and blot them out redeeming me from my death in my sins and trespasses. That God is my redeemer and provided for Him own self His way and means to be and perform my redemption from sin and death that is the wages of sin.
The Lord is my redeemer and my God who only can redeem me from my sin.
They are one and the same Lord who is our God.

And there is but One Good and that is the Lord our God.

In this belief I find peace of mind by stilling my heart in His greatness above all that is. So in Him who is Lord and God I am safe and with full assurance I have a keeper who can keep me everlastingly.
And never lose me or forsake me or allow me to be plucked from His hand of power, authority and rule.
Nothing or no one can pluck me from His hand.
Nor can anything or any one bring Him to an end and do away with Him and His rule or authority to hold all together and in Him and his Kingdom, which is everlasting.

I'm sorry, but maybe I need more clarification. Jer. 2:13 certainly proves that God is the "fountain of living water", but I cannot find where Jesus claimed to be the fountain. In John 4:14, he promises He will "give the water", but anyone who goes to a fountain with a jug can give the water to his friends later, so that does not say he took on the title of "fountain". John 7:38 is similar, where He promises the water to those who believe. Directing people to the Father (who is the fountain) would accomplish that. Rev. 22:1 has the water coming from the throne of God and the Lamb, so either could be the fountain. Did I miss a verse? I can think of no other verses where Jesus talked about fountains.

Jesus certainly is the Good Shepherd. However, Is. 40:11 states God will act like a shepherd, not be one. Psalm 23:1 is David's opinion, and granted, we can all call God our shepherd (or copilot, like the bumper stickers say), but that does mean God claimed to be one. Finally, Gen. 49:24 says either Jacob, Joseph, or God (it can't be Joseph) is where the shepherd comes from, and that this shepherd is also the stone of Israel. Jesus comes from God through the line of Jacob, and Jesus is called the foundation stone and stumbling block of Israel, also. I do not see God saying "I am the shepherd", with or without the word "good", in any of them, only that He can act like a shepherd when He wishes to.

This is quite important to me, so I'm not challenging the verses to be a pest, but to get at the truth. Some Messianic Jewish theology depends on the fact that Jesus cannot be said to be God in the Hebrew language. If you found something they missed, I really would like to know.

I might ask this, to whom do we pray after we come to the knowledge of Yeshua, Jesus? We are in the flesh as was our Savior when He prayed. The Holy Spirit resides in us. The Holy Spirit is Yahweh, God. We pray to our Father, and so it was when our Lord prayed.

In all Holy Scripture, what is revealed is by the Holy Spirit, never by our minds of flesh. This sounds like a cop out, but this is what I believe. As for Yahweh, God's titles, I will attach a student manual with references to His many titles for easy cross referencing. The manuel is for beginning Hebrew. The pages of interest regarding the subject begin at p.44. Do not approach this learning without the company of the Holy Spirit, or the endeavor will be to no avail.....You may find the student manuel to be a handy reference tool.

Jesus is God made one of us!
I think this is why He said we would do greater works than Him;
- (not miracles....preaching the gospel, reaching the lost to the ends of the earth).
The only reason He would consider them 'greater' is because He has ascended back to the Father.
And God being whole again could send His Spirit, the Comforter; who leads us into all truth.
And lead the martyrs of the faith into laying down their own lives, for something,(by that same Spirit), they knew was greater than them.
And the more the church got persecuted, the more it grew.
It could have only came about by the perfect life and obedient death of Jesus, our Savior.
That's the only way the Father's Spirit could be poured out.
What a brilliant God to give those that He called to believe Him a Comforter!
